  I see you are having problems printing of PDF files.  I would like to help!

  I suggest you perform a power reset.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

  I recommend also to download and run the HP print and Scan doctor.

  Make sure that the Acquisition of Image Windows service is started.

  a: type Services.msc in the start search box and click on enter.

  b: now, look for a service called Windows Image Acquisition

  c: Double-click the service and make sure that it is detected and set as Started.

  d: click apply , then ok.

  DeskJet F4480 will copy, but I can't print from the PC.  I try to print the crossword 3 documents.  Nothing happened.  I copied something and it worked.  PC and printer off.  Later, enabled.  Copied something, then brought a crossword - without going into the instructions the first puzzle I had entered printed up.  Entered another puzzle and it would not print.  Ink low Watch (non-empty) I use generic black (HP60XL).  (And empty color cartridge.)  I alternate between HP and the generic inks.  Never a problem.

  Looks like you got some jobs stuck in the queue.  In particular, when you mention that the printer started printing the puzzle first after the reboot.

  FM9, Kozuka fonts and one of my custom symbols fonts show in a file PDF produced with "Print" and a PDF printer, but not when I do "save in" and select "Save as:" PDF. Kozuka characters out as boxes, and custom symbols are absent; Although if I highlight the place to be in the PDF, the font name shows. I use Acrobat 7 Pro.

  I tried to change the Asian fonts in the police combined with the "Pr6N" Kozuka provided with FM9 versions, but that did not work.

  I also tried to copy the fonts to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\FrameMaker9\fminit\fonts\adobe" and various other places, and of course, they are in the folder Fonts of Windows, nothing helps. My other custom symbols fonts work very well, and they are only in the Fonts to Windows folder.

  try saving the PDF file once again, but this time - in the dialog box options PDF - select the check box 'convert CMYK to RGB colours. Fonts now appear correctly? If so, it's just another bug of the famous engine FM CMYK. When you convert the colors to RGB, you get the same result as when printing to PDF.

  ePrint is designed to print the body of the email and attachments supported as well. However, if you do not fill in the body of the email, then the only printable material will be the attachment.

  Hello, I had this printer new and used for 6 months, worked perfectly.  We moved and he was sitting in the box for the last 16 months.  I have just connected printer to the top and she supposed to replace the black print cartridge, so I did.  He also mentioned that the yellow was low.  I printed a test page and it does not print in blue and indicates the Microsoft Test Page.  I cleaned the print heads and I have replaced the yellow cartridge.  It took all three cycles of cleaning, but at least now, the ink test page shows all the color ink, but not black levels.  I ran the print heads clean again three times, no change.  When I put in place, reports, and report printing quality, I get everything except black output.  I replaced the black cartridge twice with no change...

  Any thoughts would be great.  Thank you!

  Thanks for the suggestions to Bob.  I've already tried one.  For cleaning of the printheads, I went on this link and follow in his footsteps.  When I got to the printhead out, I had a syringe and pushed water soapy warm through to the stream of print heads has been good.  I then ran the clean hot water through out the SOAP.  Then I used compressed air to dry the printhead.  I have no ink needed to fill the resovoirs, I so back up the device and installed the ink cartridges.  It took the printer a few power cycles to start working normally.  I also ran the printhead, clean once more.

  The printer works like a charm again!  Thanks for your suggestions.
