Printer prints black only

I use All in One C7280 and Win 7.  I used it for quite a few years.

I replaced the Magenta Ink Cartridge and the printer screen and the computer screen says he has successfully installed and this cartridge is now full.

However, when I click on print, I get a message on the screen saying the Partridge of magenta ink needs to be replaced and I click on 'Black Only' and 'OK '.

So I'm forced to print in black only.

I checked the solution Center, and all the cartridges are full.  But still, I replaced the cartridge three times.  No luck. I also turned it on and off a few times and kicked to win several times.  No chance either.

Thank you.

Hello kahill1918,

Turn on/off the printer is not always clearly mistakes that the printer actually knows. I recommend you to do a reset of the printer.

Reset the printer

  1. Press the button to turn the unit off.

  • OfficeJet 6500 E709n Wireless - sensor defective yellow cartridge - how to print black only?

Product is 5 years.  Error message indicates that the yellow cartridge seems to be missing.  Cannot be resolved after several cleanings of sensor and the sensor window. Powered / disable several times including corkscrew. A tried a new yellow cartridge (not a recharged one used).  Shot all the cartridges, cleaned, open/closed status of the printer, lifted/lowered the gray lever of the print head.  Could not find a way to print in black only if possible.  The cost of a new printer is roughly the same Technical Support help (out of warranty).  Any thoughts on how to fix (other than buying a new printer - unless it's time)?  Thank you in advance.

Figured it out.  I missed some parts of the print head cleaning.  Solved.

  • My Photosmart HP 6515 does not print black only.

Sometimes, I want to print something on the web that has the color, but if I have no color and just want black and white how can I do? I don't see anything on the control panel of the printer that allows me to do that.

The copy on the control panel function is, I suppose, just for the copy of something you place on top of the screen glass and not to the copy on the web. Is this correct?

Other printers (such as my old Canon printer) allows me to do black and white.

    Hello

You can set print black ink using the settings of the printer on your Mac:

First of all, try to click the menu presets from the print dialog box and select the preconfigured black single preset.

If this does not appear, follow the steps below to manually create such a "Preset":

    1. from the application used to print, click the file menu and select print. The print window is displayed.
NOTE: The print window might be minimized: click the blue triangle next to product model (Mac OS X v10.5 or v10.6) or the button view details (Mac OS X Lion v10.7 / 10.8) see all available parameters.

    2. to access the color options, click in the area of selection below, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

    3. Select Type/quality paper in the menu dropdown.

    4. click the triangle next to color Options of spending parameters.

    5. set the color to grayscale field.

    6. set the Mode to grayscale in black cartridge only.

You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset.

  • All-in-one Deskjet F3335 allows to print "black only" on the profile of a user, no other

    Hello

I have an annoying problem with my all-in-one Deskjet F3335.  I print a lot of documents on my printer.  Rarely do I need to print anything in color.

Since the acquisition of a computer running Windows 7 (x 64), I was not able to print in "grayscale: black cartridge only" on my profile; the only option is 'high quality '. (see image below)  I thought it was a systemic problem until printining something user profile on my husband.  His profile will allow for me to select "black cartridge only."

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the software and updates. This did not help.

Hoping someone out there might have a suggestion for me on how to solve this problem (and stop wasting my color ink)! Thank you

As I understand it, you can change the printer to print in only black and white on a profile, but not on the other on the same computer. Is this correct?

This type of question usually depends on the permissions available on each profile. I would hazard a guess that your husband is a Director or that there privleges more than your own profile. I check to make sure that your account is set up as an administrator first.

Secondly, I would also check the 'Advanced' tab, that sometimes you can change the settings for printing color black and white or grayscale.

  • HP Officejet 4620 prints black only moroccoin pink

I have used the printer maybe twice and now it will only print my BLACK images in pink. I tried to go to "Préférences" and change to "black ink only" but has nothing. All cartridges are installed properly, the ink levels are good, I printed a status report and the text came out in black. Just my images will not.

You will need to do both: select plain paper (or whatever the document type you use) AND select levels of gray and black ink only printing.

The black ink print head is designed for printing text and the droplets are much larger than those of the color print head.  To make the best quality print light areas are printed with colors unless you specify black ink only.

  • Print in black only on Photosmart D11a?

Hello everyone, im using the printer with a Mac OSX 10.7.5 above. Is it possible to print using only black ink cartridge?

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but this printer uses each cartridge color to blend in with the black cartridge to form a true black color. Some older printers printers can use only the black cartridge. Newcomers are a little different.

Even if you have changed your settings and wanted to print "black only", he would still miss cartridges color after some time due to the use of small to help black.

  • HP ENVY 5530: Option of printing black ink

The HP ENVY 5530 has an option to print "BLACK ONLY."?  I want to save ink of color when the color is not necessary.

Your help will be appreciated.  Thank you!

    Hello

Yes it a. copy the value of preferences in the context of quality to select the option "Black ink" only as a default value. Please note: even print in black only, always use a little during the reheating process color inks. HP Envy 5530 can print when one or 2 color ink "tanks" (but not all 3) are empty.

    Kind regards.

  • 6500 has suddenly stopped printing black - half full cartridge - even with 2 computers

HP Office Jet 6500An running under Apple's OSX was OK, the next day asked to print (black only) and print completely white sheet.  Ink cartridge shows more than half full and seems OK. prints other colors without problems.  Situation is the same when you use another computer OSX. Have removed and replaced the same cartridge and have disconnected and reconnected the power.  Out of warranty (I think) and not worth hassle of maintenance.   Ideas - or replace?

I would like to look at this document here. It deals with bad print quality for your printer model and offers some troubleshooting steps you can take to correct the problem. It will perform various tasks and provide instructions step by step for all the actions that must be performed to try to correct this problem of printing output. I hope this helps.

  • text and line color print black

We use CS3 on PC. When I put a line of color on my text and print Docucolour text and contour on my HP Laserjet or 260 color printer prints black. Obviously the Laserjet prints black only, but we should see the shades of gray and on the printer of color as well the type of red and blue print in black. Before I reinstalled Indesign or any other patellar reflex reaction, someone has any ideas? I can open the suspicious document on another machine and the type still print black. A note: if I make a pdf of the document and send it to the printer color, it prints correctly.

There is a text printed as black setting in the print dialog box. Perhaps this is true.

  • Photosmart 7520: Preference avancΘs, change the default settings, print using ONLY black ink (not color ink)

Where can I find this that all information in the preferences > advanced, what they mean, how and why.

How to permanentely to change the default printer settings.

How to use out of the black cartridge for everything I print (I do not want to use ANY) color ink.

    Hi TJBar,

This link should give you the information you need to explain the menu print, print menus. In order to print in black only, you can select "print in black and white." Note, however, that color will be used during maintenance of your printer. This is necessary to prevent the healthy color ink for when you do not need to use it.

Please let me know if it helps.

    Thank you very much

  • Photosmart HP 6510 will only print black light gray text

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem.  Been thro all the habit change the cartridges, clean the heads (several times), align the cartridges.

Problem started after the low ink warning and then change cartridges.

Need to BEST print mode to get the light gray black text only printer and printing grayscale value must be set to OFF, otherwise no visible impression is reached.

Colurs look OK on the Test print but once again no sharp black, light not gray see the upward.

    Help please!

    Hi SportBilly15,

  • OfficeJet 6700: print in black only

I am wanting to print in black only. I removed the color cartridges printer doesn't like that we

So, how can I disable the color cartridges?

    John

    Hi jozz71,

If you are wanting to use the black cartridge for printing, you can follow step 2 in this document to change the print settings to print in black and white:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-OfficeJet-6700-premium-e-all-in-one-printer-series-H711/4322971/document/c04331666

Please be aware that you don't need two ink cartridges to print.  The printer uses little color for printer maintenance.  This interview is described in the document I have attached.

Once the color cartridges is completely exhausted you must replace it in order to print.  After this setting the printer to print in black and white will minimize the used color and make it last longer.

I hope it's useful for you.

  • Printer all-in-one HP4504 ENVY: black & only cartridges printer HP ENVY 4504?

As I ususally put my impression in black scale, can I just insert 2 rather than 1 black and 1 color black ink cartridges?

In addition, my color cartridge has clearly not served so much is it good to put in a new black cartridge?

    Hello

No, 2 black cartridges do not work, the printer must print cartridges three colors. You can configure your printer to print in black only, this will use very few colors. Please use the following steps:

    (a) double-click the desktop printer icon.
    (b) click on set preferences.
    (c) click on advanced.
d select "black ink only" for printing in grayscale
    e click Ok /apply .

    Kind regards.
