  However, I recommend you contact HP support at the 1-800-474-6836 (to the United States and Canada).  Phone support can provide that more than an estimate on the repair or replacement of the printer with HP and you could compare this with the cost of a new printer.

  A new printer is under warranty and most likely to be an improvement on an older printer.

  I just installed a new modem which has replaced a router and a modem.   But now my Printer (Deskjet j310a) HP does not work.  The window of the poster printer 'Wireless is not connected' shows you settings button choice: Disable wireless. WPS; Default values.  I don't know what to do and would like to return printer.  And before I changed modem, there was a small symbol of bluetooth on the bottom of the screen and it is gone now.  Any ideas?

• Lexmark X 5495 all-in-One Printer will not communicate with Acer running Windows 7

  I have an Acer with Windows 7 installed, allowing no communication with my Lexmark X 5495. The Lexmark works very well and I was able to copy when you use a laptop with Vista installed. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, fixation with recommended updates and it still has a communication problem. I also got a new usb cable which was obviously not the problem.

All the drivers for my devices are updated and current. Exclamation points are noted in these devices in Device Manager. This seems to be a registry or a motherboard problem. While in the Device Manager, I clicked and uninstalled devices and then restarted the computer, hoping that the pilots would be automatically reinstalled correctly. It did not work, and nothing has changed. I've never had a problem like this before. Any suggestions?

  Problem has been resolved by removing the UpperFilters registry key.  Both the old and new readers are working properly. Thanks for the help and time.
