Win 7 on 2 machines (all updates applied), WiFi, Avast running, Defender disabled, to update the latest firmware and drivers (both PC), HP print and scan sometimes Dr. said everything is good. But if there is a hung job in Q it is said "issues addressed" with no details and yet nothing changes (work still in Q). If I unplug the printer and turn off the PC and then launch printer, then start PC it prints a few jobs then stops them from the Q to the printer. Jobs will be based in the Q indefinitely.

  When a work is hung in Q the printer displays the Red 'X'. By pressing the 'X' and turning off the job at the printer do not help, the next task remains in Q.

  I bow down you good gentlemen/ladies. And here I thought that the batch files were dead... ahhh... my tongue (said of my age and BONE).

  Anyway... with minor mods (path), the clearing of the Q did the trick I could open and watch as the two jumped in, and then the q files.

  I'll always keep an eye out for anything that may have caused the Q to keep the files in the 1st place, but the command quickie file is worth its weight in gold.

  I have change my old HP Photosmart (C6xx) printer to a new 8600 Pro of Offichejet.

  Deleted my old printer to my setup and rebbot.

  Download the latest drivers HP for IOS 10.8 years begin the installation.

  The installation went well.

  I can view and manage all my settings of the printer (fixed IP IP, inks,..) - wired Ethernet.
  I also print a frm 'test page' menu of the administrator.

  But cannot print any document othet. No word, no jpeg...

  The scanner also works well.

  If I try to print a simple document, the HP Officejet is selected, the document is 'send'... but nothing.

  In the 'add printer', the yello small icon in the making with a simple message like "ipp job id missing.

  Have you any idea of what does not work

  It works!

  (1) put the printer firmware level (I installed the CLP1N1304AR.)

  (2) uninstall the printer on the Macbook

  (3) Re-install the printer (don't no choice Airprint)

  that's all.

  Problem was the firmware.

  I can't print pdf files. I can print Word and Excel documents. The printer worked fine on my old computer, it's a new laptop from Dell. I installed the wireless printer and had this problem. I then uninstalled all the hp print files and reinstalled like a printer cable and still it won't print pdf even if it will print documents of type word. Thank you for your help.

  I see that you have some problems with PDFs of your 10 Windows PC printing to your Officejet 8600 Premium e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that, but as the printer prints other programs on the same computer, this means that the problem is related to your PDF software. I suggest you uninstall your PDF Viewer and install again. If you are not able to print PDF files after reinstalling the software, then the next step would be to contact the company that wrote the software PDF to decide the issue.

  I can't find a place to print in color, project.  The printer will print in color, black and white, black & white project, but nothing else unless I change something.  And I don't understand how to change/use settings predefined.  There is nothing in my user manual helping to something else than basic printer installation tips.  (In fact, this can hardly be called a "user manual" because it is mainly a "installation manual".)  Can you advise?

  Now, knowing your operating system, I can't help but to wonder if you use AirPrint driver and not the driver of HP. This is perhaps why the options you are looking for are not available.

  Follow these steps to check which driver you are using.

  Click on the Apple icon > System Preferences > print and scan, click on the printer so that it appears highlighted and look over to the centre/right of the window for printing and scanning. You say AirPrint?

  

  If you see AirPrint link to the image above, click on the symbol less to remove the printer, and then click the plus sign and select "add another printer or a Scanner.  Select your printer and next to the 'use' to choose your printer driver. See the image below.

  

  If you already use the HP driver, let me know and I'll see what I can find. Thank you.

  I appoligize we do not have a program scrub for this software package. I would like that restart you the equipment in the following order. Turn off the router, printer & computer and reboot the router. Once the router is completely reloaded start the printer and the computer. Let me know if you can scan using the HP software. If you are unable to scan using the HP software open paint and try scanning from Microsoft Paint.

  Scan using the ADF puts a vertical line in the middle of the scanned page.  This does not happen when I scan from the flat screen

  Brian, this is going to be a pretty easy fix. What you're going to need to get is a lint cloth (as a microfibre cloth or a filter coffee) and get just a wet touch. Then, open the top of your printer to reveal the glass. There are two sections, one large, and that is a thin strip of glass on the left side. If the line makes its appearance in the ADF scans/copies only - clean this thin section with a moist, lint cloth.

  You may have missed the "Overview of digitization" setting - select the preview allow the destination file / folder to be changed.

  I have connected to the Live cat HP, which has accompanied me through the process. It turns out that I had to delete the printer, then turn off the router and the printer.   New printer for us and I can't find the maximum weight of the paper in the instructions, plug - both in the manual or online or other sources.

  I spent more than 45-minute wait for the conversation online tech support (estimated time was listed as 7 minutes when I plugged) and abandoned.

  In our old printer (HP Business Inkjet 1200n), we could use up to 100 lb Bond (8.5 x 11 office paper).
