Printers are lost after installing updates and could not start get error 1053 service print spooler service message has failed to demand launch or control in a timely
Original title: print spooler does not - error 1053 - Windows 7
I have a HP Pavilion dv4-511 with Windows 7. 2 weeks ago I ran a Windows Update and all my printers installed have disappeared after a reboot. I did a system restore and they were all back. Yesterday, I installed an update to a software (Soonr) and it's the same thing. I clicked on the print spooler service to see if I was able to restart and got the error 1053 saying "service did not respond to demand launch or control in a timely." If I click on "Add a printer" in the menu devices and printers, I get the following message: "Windows can't open add printer." The local print spooler service is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine. "I rebooted the computer and the same thing continues to happen. I did a system restore and the printers are all back. It seems that every time there is a change to any software, it creates this problem. Help, please! Thank you.
Hello
Welcome to the Microsoft community!
When the updates are installed, the printers will be lost and when you try to start the print spooler service, you get the service saying error 1053 has failed to demand launch or timely control.
The problem may occur if some system files are corrupted or because of malicious content.
I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below:
Method 1: File system (CFS) Scan Checker
SFC scan will find all missing or incorrect system files and repairs them.
See the site:
How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833
Method 2: Scan the computer to remove all possible malicious content
See the site:
Microsoft safety scanner
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx .
Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
I hope this helps. If the problem persists, let know us and we would be happy to help you.

Empty Connections window network and could not start the network connections service
Problems with Verizon router and during diagnosis discovered that the network connections window is empty (found by clicking on change settings for the network and sharing Center map). We are currently connected to the Internet with the new router and Ethernet cable, but the cannot connect wireless (what we could do before) - apparently not to display icons in N.C. window is not necessary to have connections. Found a reference to the network connections service and check it is running as a solution to the window being blank. The service is not running, and when I try to launch it I get "Error 1083: the executable program that this service is configured to run in does not implement this service."
I've seen a lot of suggestions on fixes for the problem of the empty window. I did the sfc /scannnow and found no problem. I tried to update the network adapter driver, but it was very good. None of the solutions seemed appropriate perfectly adapted to this situation. Is this really a problem? Any suggestions on what to do about it? We are about to use an USB adapter until our connection speed and I want to make sure that everything works first. Thanks for any help.

Windows Mail v 6.0.600016386 went wrong after installing updates and IE 9.
I use windows Mail comes with windows vista. (Not the Windows live, nor outlook.)
After you install the updates and IE 9 on last week, I noticed that windows mail does not work properly.
1. the police in the area "to: subject" above the display of message board is messed up. It seems to be bold and look aweful.
2. the same "of: topic" should display the attachment 'trombone' and if I click on the attachment trombone, he used to give me the option to download it or open it. Now 'trombone' disappeared. Only way to download the attachment is to open the message and drag and drop it on the desktop.
Does anyone else have this problem? How should I do?
Thanks for any info
Sean
It is a known problem in WinMail introduced with IE9. Workarounds is in this thread: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-networking/windows-mail-font-problems-after-installing-ie9/a4274c96-d44f-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5?page=1
There is no solution and its unlikely there will be one, because the reputation of Microsoft in fixing bugs of WinMail is catastrophic.

After the update automatic, could not load desktop under the screen turns off after logon
Original title: computer running Windows 8 will not correctly restart after automatic updates & close
I have Windows 8 my computer does not start correctly after it has automatically closed for the automatic updates last night. When I turn on the computer I can connect as user, however once I do it says welcome and the screen turns white. The only thing visible is the cursor if I move the mouse. There is no Apps and I can't get to my desk or anything else. I tried to restart again and press F8 and nothing. However, I can bring up the Task Manager, but that's all. Help, please.
Hi Patricia,
I understand that you get a black screen after that it was closed automatically for automatic updates. It might be difficult when things don't work the way it should be on your computer. This problem might have occurred because of the conflicted with the system files update or could be a problem with the display card drivers may be due to the virus/malware infection.
Many users complain about the issue with a black screen to logon Windows. Microsoft has not yet determined the exact cause of this problem.
However; I suggest you to please follow the steps suggested by Scott Atk began August 30, 2014 in the following link and check if this can help:
Please answer us on the State of the question to help you further.

T440S - update system could not start properly
That Lenovo system update stopped working a few days ago. I tried to reinstall a million times, but that did not help.
Today, I had my fingers crossed that maybe with the installation of the currently latest version it will work (systemupdate506-11-04 - 2014.exe). When I ran the installation he put warned me there are previous versions and it will be installed, but installation did not go thru. After manual removal system update service (remove sc SERVICENAME) and re-run the installation, the Wizard completed successfully, but then when I run the system update you receive an error "T440S - update of the system Cuuldn can't start correctly.
Suggestions how to make this update of the system would work properly on the computer laptop T440s.
My operating system is 8.1 x 64 business.
