  When I use the scanner glass to print a 8-1/2 x 11 page, I get an impression that indicates the size of the entire glass.  In other words, I get the height 11 "(slightly reduced) and a 1/2" space at the top (or bottom).  How do I change the setting so I print only the original and not glass?

  Your printer cannot print from glass. Are you talking about copying (similar to the copiers)? If so, please try the printer control panel:

  b press copy,

  (b) press settings (Gear icon in the lower left),

  (c) based on the size of the paper.

  (d) select the size of the list,

  (e) return (closed arrow) key,

  (f) touch black or color.

• HP Officejet 5740: Cannot print from Windows 10

  Since the upgrade to Win10 I can no longer connect and print from my Officejet 5740. Other machines / devices in the House (not Win10) can print very well. The printer always showed "offline". I tried to remove and re-add them, but it doesn't give me the 'DIRECT' option - I can get into my router wireless WPS PIN (by the other responses on this forum), but it says it cannot connect.

  Any other suggestions?

  Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.

  I don't know what you're doing wrong; I can offer the following in the hope that it might be useful.

  The problem is probably not directly related to your printer - print preview is driving application as it is the environment that helps choose the configuration of the printer.  In general, your environment must be set first - in other words, the printer must be installed, by default, selected on the network and ready to go - and then applications can use it.

  First of all, if you have not already done so, please install the full function of the printer software:

  Install full software features - OfficeJet 6700

  Make sure that your 6700 printer is assigned as default printer - assuming that it is the only printer on your network, this happens automatically.  However, if you tend to move everything from one place to another, maybe this isn't the case - you can verify that the printer you expect to see is indeed the "default".  In this case, you want this printer to the HP Officejet 6700.

  Control Panel > set display icon > devices and printers >

  Right click on your printer > ensure / select as default printer

  I just bought a new 5741 Officejet all-in-one software installed on HP Envy with windows 10 update, printed fine the first day. Later software installed on computer 2, a laptop - prints fine - but now it will not print the first

  I installed the software on the computer. the printer seems to work very well using the touch screen on the printer itself.

  When I try to print something, it will not show stuck justgets - a print preview or anything like that. When I tried to solve the problems through devices, it does not show the printer as a device installed; but it will not add the printer either.

  Any suggestions?

  From your description, I understand that you can't print from the first computer you have installed the printer on even though you could when you install everything first. I am convinced that I will be able to help you find a solution, and I ask only that pay you it forward. When solve us the problem, I would mark you kindly post as accept as Solution so that others have the same or similar problem can find what worked for you.

  According to me, at this point, the best approach is to run printing HP and doctor Scan because if it does not solve the problem, he could at least help to identify the root cause and point us in the right direction.

  It was an earlier assignment that has not worked for me.  I encounter the same problem that this user is having.  I had to stop using 8 element altogether decided to give it one more try.  I can understand the pain of this girl because I'm totally frustrated as well.  I have try all the advice I found on the web one nothing works.  If you think about it please let know.  I've included the original poster below.  My photos never look like what I change on the screen. If I open a photo that has never been touch and I just print it looks great.  I have cropped the photo without other changes a photo is not come well.  I tried adobe and epson and obtained phone run.  Adobe wants to upgrade me to the 9 item and I don't want to pay the extra money a still be frustrated. I have version 5 and 8 and have not been happy with one. any suggestions

  Help!  I'm really quite useless to all this computer stuff, and my problem is slowly driving me crazy!  I try, in vain, to print from 8 elements using an Espon Stylus Photo R300.  However, I don't know what settings to use.  I can get prints - but they do not represent what I see on the screen.  I tried using Picasa and representation at printing is not too far from the one on the monitor.  iPhoto is slightly less good.  Can someone tell me in simple English what I need to use the - I saw other discussions on the same topic and suggests that color management must be carried out by the Elements 8 and not the printer?  Any help would be much appreciated - before I lose all together

  In the Organizer, click file > Print

  Click More Options

  Click the color management tab

  If the image is sRGB make sense of space even as a source.

  Make sure that the printer is set to sRGB

  If your images are on something different, for example Adobe RGB (1998) make sure that everything is consistent.

  Also make sure you have the correct paper profile setting (as applicable) as paper type can often effect image quality.

  I try to print from the web browser firefox or a pdf document and files will not be not print and are removed from the queue after about 30 seconds. I tried the browser google chrome and they print well from there. This problem just started today.

  Make sure that you do not print in a file selected and the correct printer is selected. You can see these settings in the "native print dialog" window when you do {Ctrl + P}.

  This all started with a fedex shipping label printing. Now, everything I print from the internet... for example a return for amazon label is now purple print. When I print from Chrome it does not purple print.

  Several printer problems can be solved by resetting the printer of Firefox settings:

  1. in the location bar or URL, type: afight: config and press ENTER.

  3. right click on the print_printer parameter and select reset.
