Printing problem: colors print correctly from Photoshop but swept away in Illustrator

I have problems printing in Illustrator.  The same image... to be cut and glued, opened in, or by using the created... sample prints differently in Photoshop and Illustrator.  I need to use this specific color (brand), and it prints fine in Photoshop but washed out and ish in illustrator.

I made sure that the color settings are the same (the bridge) and made sure all of the print settings are the same.  It is the same color on the screen and in detail, but the impression is significantly different.  Any help please?

Uncheck perserv CMYK.

Chances are the document photoshop's RGB and you no doubt you you document RGB as well for proofing.

Better yet probably should do all the conversion and have a consistent color of flow management work.

It is to convert your images to CMYK in photoshop work in photoshop as CMYK etc or if documents that not the case then do everything in RGB, including your Illustrator color space.

  • I am trying to print PDFS from Safari, but can not see the page numbers

I just opened a document PDF 700 + pages in Safari and need to print the odd pages and there, but I can't see the page numbers displayed when I scroll the document. When I view the same document on an iPad, the page numbers change when I scroll but on my iMac (with the help of Safari 10) they appear not at all - and 700 + pages is a lot to go wrong! The clues how I can spend on 'display the page number?

The default Apple PDF Internet plug-in used by Safari does not display the page numbers (except if they are in the footer of the PDF document in question), and there is no setting in Safari preferences to turn on this feature. Your best bet is to download the PDF file, then open it in preview or Acrobat Reader, where the thumbnails will be the correlation to page numbers. Then you can select several arbitrary thumbnails using the control button to print those selected pages. In the Pages section of the print Panel, you select "Selected Pages in the sidebar".

The PDF Internet plug-in installed by Adobe Acrobat Reader or Pro displays the page current and total page in its turnaround Panel. If there are page numbers in the footer of the PDF file accessed, they are not deleted. You must enable Internet Adobe plug-in to Safari preferences: Security Panel.

  • colors look fine in photoshop but poor in windows Viewer?

This problem is about how the colors in my images appear different once I processed them through Lr and PS. This happens both on my screen and my tablet.

When I import images from an sd camera card in Lr, the colors look quite good on my monitor.  Almost the same as when I import images live map through the windows and discovered through the windows Viewer

When I export the image of the Lr to Ps colors look always good.

When I flatten the layers and save as a jpeg file they look always good in Ps, but when I leave the Ps and I discovered the image stored in the windows Viewer the colors look washed out and more cold.

Can you help me with this?

Here's the thing, chris: most of the applications (web browsers, file browser, image viewers) consumer-oriented have or not support color management. To display correctly in these applications, the files must be in the sRGB color space, because most of the monitors are already quite close to sRGB natively. In this way, the file can be given directly to the screen and pretty much right display. It is the standard 'infallible' mode.

But exports of default Lightroom in ProPhoto, a much larger space synthetic color that contains many more colors that can be displayed on the screen. To view correctly, this must be remapped in the color space of the monitor. Lightroom and Photoshop this automatically. It's the color management.

If you view a ProPhoto file in an application without color management, the result is a very drab and dull picture, far from what it is supposed to look like. That's what you see in your other file viewers. Same thing for Adobe RGB, only slightly less extreme.

Always convert to sRGB in Photoshop, or export to sRGB in Lightroom. Then they will display correctly in all applications that are not color management.

In Photoshop, use him edit > convert to profile option. Your workspace has no impact on this point, it's just a failure to rescue. BTW, the Elements option "optimize for computer screen" simply means that sRGB. That's what you get for dumbing down, there is no way to know what it really means.

Hi, I have a Canon iX6850 printer, but I can't print in color from photoshop. The prints are black and white? What should I do?

    Hi Vera,

    Thanks for the update.

Make sure that the image is set to RGB in Photoshop.

In addition, we suggest you follow the steps below:

    1. exit and then restart Photoshop

    2. go in the file menu > hover your mouse over Print > press and hold the space key

    3 try printing

This would reset the printing preferences for Photoshop.

  • Red tint when printing from Photoshop to Canon IP7250

I have the same problem when I try and print to one of my canon printers.  I have Canon ip7250 and MG650 of Canon.

The prints came out without any black and the image had a red tinted layer.  On the preview, the image looked OK and black look black.

I changed between photoshop manage colors and the printer manage colors and then the red tint disappeared, however black was then with rays.  I experimented with different printing options and 7200 series PT1 works correctly.  I went back to print another using the same settings and the red hue appeared again.

How to print correctly if the impression is identical to the image on the screen.

I have a MAC with the latest operating system.

    Hi dannyboy888,

Could if it you please let me know the version of Photoshop you're working on?

Also could you please try to print from other applications outside of Photoshop with the same settings.

Red displays on all images, or individual?

Also, please make sure that the printer drivers are up to date.

    Kind regards

  • The image passes grayscale when you save or print preview Postscript/PDF but the text remains in color?

It is in color, until I have turn on overprint preview, or try to save the booklet in Postscript or PDF format.

In print preview or when you do everything above, it goes gray scale but the text and rectangles are in color?

The images have been placed as eps files from Photoshop and have been duatone in PS.

    Help, please.

You and all those who have contributed, thank you.

The problem is that the files were not CMYK Pantone color library, they were the nuances I had made myself were not recognizable to the printer.

I can't say why we are forced to use eps or Postscript files, as far as I know is that I have to follow the guidelines directly or it will result in a failure. It is a strange Bachelor of Graphic Design.

Thank you all, the problem has been resolved.

  • Question about preparing files for printing from Photoshop

I need to understand the best way to save for print from Photoshop. Here are the things that are confusing to me:

Problem: When I create a design in Photoshop, I find myself with a few options on how to save my document. I would like to know which of the following statements is the best method:

Method 1: create a PDF, and embed the fonts. This method, which worries me because I read that some fonts will not be open on the end of beneficiaries because of restrictions imposed by the manufacturer of the police. I should be concerned or is embedding fonts the best route to take?

Method 2: Convert all types of forms. This method seems to be the most secure, but I read problems related to this road as well. A site commented that having too much text converted into forms can cause extremely long print times. Is this true?

Another problem I encountered with the conversion of text in forms is when I have a paragraph that has more than one color of text... convert forms converts just one color. I would like to know a work around that. Currently, I create separate layers for different text colors and try to align them manually... a lot of your time. I know that InDesign would be best for this kind of thing, but Photoshop works very well for me, asside from this little thing).

Method 3: Flatten my whole design (text and everything) at 300 dpi. My text will look like flattening crunchy at this resolution?

Thanks to all who can help clarify this for me. I read so much incompatible information online that I don't know what to think.

It would be great if there were a being all put an end to all the applications that actually everything we dream in one application. Maybe someday, but it's not the reality at this point. There is no IllustPhotoDesigner, so we need to deal with what we have to work with. It beats paper and pens, at times, but it has limits as well.

In fact, In Design is much easier to use then Photoshop. You take the tool like Photoshop and type text. You place the images using the place command. You create PDF files by exporting to PDF or use the print dialog box.

Photoshop is great for editing images of several kinds. Text is not really one of them unless you perform a text as a graphic you want to create an image in the text.  Creating a paragraph of text ends usually soft because if you're setting type in Photoshop, you are dealing with the resolution of the file so that if you type set In Design, you are not limited to the resolution of files, but the resolution of the device output you print on.

  • When the scaling in the layout, 1st page prints correctly, but the following pages were not properly/too large for the paper, parts of text missing scale

When you try to print in Firefox and when the scale to the size of the page in the page layout, the first page prints correctly, but the following pages do not scale correctly and are too large for the paper, with the parts of the text are cut off at top and right. It is not fixed by checking or unchecking the scaling / shrink to fit page width "ignore" in the print window, or by changing the scale percent.

I am running Firefox 15.0.1, on Mac OS 10.5.8.

The same problem happens in preview print and if I save the copy in a .pdf file

I tried all the fixes in the how to and others in various forums with no improvement.

This happens everytime I try to print a document from scaling upwards or downwards in Firefox.

I note the bug has been fixed and should in Firefox 21 right now, it will mean the use night http://nightly.mozilla.org/

  • All-in-one Photosmart HP 3310: colors may not print correctly on A4 photo paper.

My HP 3310 printer gave me great prints for many years, but during the last 12 months, 210 x 297 mm prints threw a desaturated look and brightness has dulled as well. My photos 10 x 15 cm print perfectly.

I did all the recommended suggestions, cleaning of the print head, aligning the printer even restore to factory default to no effect.

I use Spyder Pro 5 to ensure that I have the exact colors on my screen.

I printed via the printer settings and also the settings of Photoshop.

At the present time, all my photos contest must be overexposed and strongly saturated for previously appreciated results.

I only use HP photo papers and real HP363 inks.

I hope someone can put an end to my frustration.

  • Printing from Photoshop CS6 on 5520 and B110 - something wrong

There is something wrong with the way that my printer HP - 5520 and B110 - print from Photoshop CS6.

It's like he's still the impression of 'high quality' rather than 'rough', with several passages for each line.  It's the same on the 5520 and B110.

I use the Mavericks with the 4.2.4 drivers.

I know it's HP and Photoshop as if I take the same file and print from Illustrator CS6 it works OK and prints quickly.  Also, if I print the same Photoshop file on my Epson printer, it prints as quickly.

    Help?

    Hello imacken.

I understand your concerns. Since we are a forum based community, we try to answer as soon as possible. I'm sorry that nobody has answered this post.

If I understand you correctly, you declare that whenever you print a file using the program Photoshop CS6, you will notice that it takes a while to print using your HP printers?

In addition, you can change the settings on your computer of the Mavericks. Please follow this document from HP on the Advanced color management. You should be able to change the type of quality by reference to this document.

How these printers are connected? USB or wireless.

Once I have this information, I can help you further.

    Hi Tanuj,

Thanks for your reply. The problem seems to be a damaged printer driver. I tried to print from my laptop computer rather than my PC and that worked OK. I downloaded the latest driver for the Epson 3880 but then find that the print spooler has become invalid. When I restarted the print spooler, everything worked again and I'm able to print as usual.
