  I am bit confused traffic network within the same esxi host, vm

  We have 3 ESXi5 and each of the ESXi5 has 1 vswitch and 5 groups of ports vm for VMs on this vswitch networks, each vm network has VLANs on that... so if 2 vm is on a vlan different, but on the same ESXi will network traffic will pass throught rising or not? I believe that traffic will increase to uplinks, I'm just on this?

  I know not for sure about network traffic because same subnet / vlan between virtual machines on the same host does not use uplinks

  Traffic will be via the uplink here in the case of vlan for the virtual machines on the same vSwitch

  I have a page in an application that uses pl/sql to generate a list of links.
  
  The purpose of each link is to call another pl/sql procedure which in turn opens / runs an external report on the application of the APEX (or a call to the server to Oralce apps generate direct or pull clob is stored in the database). If the URL call the pl/sql procedure directly, I lose session state and doesn't remember who the user is. To maintain session state made URL refers to an APPLICATION_PROCESS. I would like to pass a number of parameters, but may only move one, using javascript to pass the value to a hidden element that is accessible in the procedure called by the APPLICATION_PROCESS.
  
  Can I pass several parameters?

• Pass the Boolean b/t parallel threads

  Dear Board of Labview,

  I have two Labview processes running in parallel.   Entering the data and the other data output are done.   They where originally designed to operate independently of the other, but today I need them to make some modest integration.   The two processes are very complex, so I would avoid a costly reconstruction.   I am looking for a quick fix and dirty.

  I need #1 process (which is loop based) temporarily hold the execution based on a condition (Boolean flag) process #2.   I'm not familiar with the techniques of parallel processing in labview, and I wonder if I'm doing this more difficult it really is.   Can I put a wait loop in a process which refers to an indicator in another process?   What is the best way to pass Boolean data between parallel threads?

  That vi is perfect.

  In your case by using a variable is probably correct. But do not use a global - use a local! I would stay again far using variables-you never know what the future holds. Maybe you end up adding a few other loop. Maybe you want to add error checking and loops to stop on error of the signal.

  There is a significant difference between Globals functional and just a simple variable. Since the FG is a vi that one instance can run at a time *. With a variable, you have no way of knowing which is written or read what or when, unless you use semaphores or structures from sequence.

  Windows 7 Home Premium, solid running, since 13/10/09
  History of failure of 974431 update that the next day, he managed without my taken part troubleshooting.  No complaints since more about 1 week ago got a BSoD outside no where while my child is on a restricted user account using IE.  Has not returned since, but suffice it to say.
  So now it's 26/01/10 and an update to install Windows Defender K915597 with success.  Cool deal.  It end tonight here and he says it is to install the updates and then stops.  Next day:

  See a pattern here?  So I should also mention that all of a sudden if I click log off or switch users while one of these updates says waiting and not pass/fail it hangs on Please wait... I waited about 10 minutes (normally it's about 10 seconds for the newspaper and immediate to change user) then have to restart the computer or force the feeding cycle.  So I decided to uncheck the Group of updates and just try one at a time through the automatic updates.

  More potentially useful data.  I have manually install a (977074), said she is successful and I want to reboot, Yes, please wait windows configuration, stops, comes up, please wait configuration updates, no error, log, look at the history of the update, says "pending" 977074 next, I reboot on mine, please wait windows configuration, stop , rises, please wait for configuration updates, UPDATES COULD not return changes, allows me to connect... She does it every time.

  So I think I'll just deselect all and hide updates, screw it right?  I don't really have the situations these difficulty going home anyway.  So all deselected.  No found update, green check in Windows doesn't update.  Everything is cool.  Stop this night here, please wait windows configuration, stops, appears, wait for updated configuration to update, UPDATES FAIL back.

  I have two selection lists on my page, is the list of countries and another for the list of airports. Both of them get their values (display and id) of the table. I want to pass the value to display the list of selected countries to the list of the airport to be used as a filter to only airports in the selected country. How do I do that? Similarly, how I pass the values of a top page to another to be used for the same purpose? I am newbie to Apex.

  Choose lists (and other controls LOV) used in this way are called 'cascading LOVs. Their use is described in the documentation.

  Define airport LOV properties items In cascade LOV article Parent (s) name of the element in the country. Reference this value in the LOV query using bind variables syntax. The Items property of the Page to send can be used to introduce other values of the child depends on LOV.

  On the forums, I noticed there is an option when exporting to a VBR 1 pass, pass 2 or CBR. I understand what it means, but my first pro does not display these options. I can only entry a maximum flow. I wonder if this is a feature that has been removed from first CC or it is maybe missing in my particular version. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm looking for a way to improve the quality of my makes it final.

  Is there a reason that you use instead of MP4 MOV? MP4 will have more options for you, including the CBR, VBR 1 pass or 2 pass VBR. Here is a screenshot of what you see when you choose MP4. It is very likely that when you see those referring to VBR on the forums they speak Choosing MP4 H.264 format dropdown. Make sure you choose that and not a MPEG-4.

  Edit: And just to add, and actually answer your question, Codec settings option is grayed out, so no, it does not appear that you have the ability to set VBR with QuickTime H.264, although I don't know why.

  Can I change the query1 query for plan2?

  As Juliet was mentioned in the first SQL that you generate from the ENAME list that you must pass in the IN clause when executing. But in the second SQL, it passed as a static value. So first SQL must do more work. So you see a different execution plan.

  But this is a work around to get what you are looking for. But I can't say it's a foolproof method. But anyway here you go.

  I have a classic report in which I have a hyperlink column, using standard link in the report parameters. Because we can also pass on values to the page that opens the linked report. However, I noticed when I display the window for the value to pass, it lists only the #XY # content of the report. Lets say, I created the link on page 1 which, once clicked Open Page 2.
  
  I want to change the value of: P1_PERIOD to: P2_PERIOD
  
  We cannot only via the link? If I just put the value in Item1 as P2_PERIOD and fill it with: P1_PERIOD, that wouldn't work?

  Yes, you can, but not by using this syntax.

  No, : P1_PERIOD refers to the item using the notation variable bind. It is only for use in SQL and PL/SQL within the APEX contexts. Elsewhere in the APEX (HTML source, the links and the branches etc.) you refer to element values using the static text substitution:

  &P1_PERIOD.
  

  (Note the end point).

  Put P2_PERIOD in the item 1 name and & P1_PERIOD. in value.

  I am trying to add features to my report, I hope you can help me. I have in the SQL report, among other things, a box and a selection list.
  
  What I want to do, is that when the user changes the value of the selection list, it automatically changes the value of the Checked checkbox. I have the SQL like this:

• Best way to pass and retrieve variables

  Here's my setup.

  My client's site has a page for each product. On each product page is a link to a photo album for this product in a 3rd party gallery that I've implemented (Plogger: this gallery has several different photo albums, one for each product). I want to be able to do is provide a link to the gallery that when you click on will take the user to return to this page for specific product on the main site. I think that I would accomplish this by passing a variable to the gallery which is set to the url of the page that it is supposed to return from the main site. But I don't know how to put this all in place.

  What would you say is the best way to do it, and nobody knows instructions on the web?

  I looked at the Plogger demo Gallery.  I was referring to the GET method that there is nothing in the address to link the file to the album.  Without examining the code at a deeper level, I'll try to explain what you should look for.  I'll use the next page for example:

  The album "AVL response Screenshots" is what you need capture, but which should also match your product page.  When you go to the page 'Answer AVL', you find yourself at this address:

  Because there is no common variables to select, you need to understand the application you are using.  I was looking for an easy solution via a GET method or a variable that is located in the Plogger skin, but was unable to find a solution through my brief review.  Most likely, you need to change the administration area to attach a URL to each Album, which then gets displayed in the skin.  You will need to edit the page, so that you can easily change it later, in addition to the creation of a database table.  I would recommend a separate table of Plogger installation so that the path if you improve their script at any time it should not affect your change.

  As I said, it is probably possible, but I'm only reviewing the frontal point of view and without evaluating the code at all.  For changes of this nature, I'd be active in their community to get an overview of the extension of their application.

• Passing a Variable presentation for a 2nd guest in limiting choices

  I want the user to select only one doctor from a single dashboard command prompt, and then I want to pass this value of doctor (let's call it "PV_Doc") to 3 different datafields in the query:

  The query will return the patients for which the chosen doctor was listed as on or more of these 3 areas using a statement like gold in the filter... like:

  The problem I have is that the list of unique doctors is about 5 000 entries.   I can't do thpugh because in order to limit the 'Show' the 2nd prompt values requires that I do a SQL statement that says Doactor is like % @ % PV_Doc, but using a SQL statement, I can't assign the value they choose in a new variable of presentation.
  
  Any ideas? How to make it easy for the user to select a doctor and then passing a variable presentation so I can pass it to all fields of 3 doctor in the filter?

  Use the dashboard separated guests, not constrain option between fields in the same dashboard prompt.

  1. make the first dashboard invites with a field only and put it in the first section:
  column to change the formula: '1'
  control: edit box
  variable of the set of presentation: pv_name_like

  2. make second dash invites with a field only and put it in the section two:
  column to change the formula: YOUR_TABLE. DOCTOR_NAME_COLUMN
  control: in the drop-down list

  3. make sure guided navigation report for the dash prompt in section two (point 2) to show only in pv_name_like is not null, or length('@{pv_name_like}') > 0.

  4. make or update your target destination to trigger only when the second GO touch (when the variable pv_doctor of presentation is filled). Put it on Chapter 3. You can resolve report hide-with navigation guided in Chapter 3 report.

  Initially, you see only the first line (edit field, name) and when you click on GO the second prompt appears with the filtered values. After you click on the second GO report is displayed.
