Quenstion fast VM network on ESXi5

Hi all

I am bit confused traffic network within the same esxi host, vm

We have 3 ESXi5 and each of the ESXi5 has 1 vswitch and 5 groups of ports vm for VMs on this vswitch networks, each vm network has VLANs on that... so if 2 vm is on a vlan different, but on the same ESXi will network traffic will pass throught rising or not? I believe that traffic will increase to uplinks, I'm just on this?

I know not for sure about network traffic because same subnet / vlan between virtual machines on the same host does not use uplinks

Traffic will be via the uplink here in the case of vlan for the virtual machines on the same vSwitch

My HP Envy 15 t-k000 works very well, but it is slow. I thought it was my internet until I did some troubleshooting and discovered that I don't get the super fast speed that I'm supposed to receive this is because my computer does not have a fast enough network adapter. He's currently the Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 it came with. I watched the maintenance manual and could not find an upgrade. Is there a module I can replace with allowing for speeds 1 G?

The part number for the laptop is G0T55AV.

    Thank you!

    Hello:

The adapter you mentioned... Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 is the wireless network card, and I do not think that this card connects everything faster than 72 Mbps.

Your laptop comes with the card Realtek 10/100 ethernet (wired) and it cannot be upgraded because the ethernet chip is part of the motheboard.

If you want a gigabit ethernet connection, so I advise you to buy an external USB to RJ-45 gigabit ethernet adapter.

You won't find any wireless card that will go beyond the rate of 867 Mbps AC, and you would need a router ca to achieve these speeds.

You would also dismantle the entire notebook to replace the wireless card and if your laptop has a single antenna attached to the atheros wireless network card, you will not be able to upgrade to the fastest wireless card.

A proper AC map would be the Intel 7260 wireless card if your mobile phone has two antennas attached to the atheros card.

  • How to install the adapter wireless network in Satellite Pro A10

I'm trying to set up a wireless connection with my Satellite Pro A10. I thought it was active wireless, but when I switch the wireless switch, no light comes on and there is no card listed under network adapters wireless (so I guess not).

Is it easy to install a wireless adapter (i.e. can I do it myself or I must be done by a professional)? Can anyone recommend what card I should by (or any other that I should avoid)?

    Thank you.

    Hello

According to the specification of the specifications your A10 Pro Satellite is WLAN ready. In notebook specification it has listed two compatible WIFI cards:
    PA3212U-4MPC (Agere 802. 11b) and PA3273U-2MPC (802. 11a / b).

I don't really know if you can use some faster wireless network cards with the g standard. You may be lucky and someone will post here results update WLAN card.

I'm not sure 100% where the WLAN slot is placed but check it please under the lid placed close to the battery.

  • Best WiFi for the internet fiber?

We are switching internet providers of Charter, which is slow and unreliable, a fiber of 1 gig of TDS connection. Currently, we are using the modem provided by Charter (which we will return), combined with a very old AirPort Extreme of probably around 2007 and a just as old AirPort Express to extend the network, although I do not know if it is. We use an iMac connected to the internet 2010, but most of our consumption is on our iPad and iPhone, as well as the video streaming (Netflix, Plex, etc.). Due to the age and the layout of our House, it is not very easy to hard wire on television, thinking it is something that we watched in the future when we are ready for some changes.

The fiber will be installed and connected directly to the iMac, but for iPads and TV streaming, I would try to put in place the faster WiFi network, I can. What would you recommend for this? A new AirPort Extreme would be the fastest option to work with the new fiber? Or are there routers WiFi non - Apple that would work better and are not too difficult to implement?

With regard to the performance of the network that he will come down to will be the following:

    1. For broadcast on the Internet, you want a router that has a capacity of excellent data WAN - LAN throughput.
    2. You want a wireless system that provides the band total bandwidth of the best & possible rate for your home.

For the first article, I suggest that you examine various models to see which offer best WAN - LAN throughput. An easy way to do is to check the links of graphics of router and switch router in the following SmallNetBuilder site.

For diagrams of router, I suggest you choose the 'WAN to LAN flow"to the point of reference and then select FILTER for a list of routers of better performance at worst. When I did it just, it assessed the Netgear Nighthawk with a value of LAN 931,4 Mbps Wan. No consumer today router will provide 1 Gbps, but 931.4 is very close. By the way, the last (on the design of 2 years) AirPort Extreme 802.11ac just came out with only 325,5 Mbps.

On the second point, you will need to look at some benchmarks:

    • 2.4 GHz UpDown flow
    • 5 GHz UpDown flow
  • Audio dropouts in streaming for magical flow device

    Hello

I had a certain audio hang ups today.

Check the journal of Unix, what is happening:

    26/05/2016 15:06:29.889 configd [52]: network modified: v4 (en0:192.168.0.4, en3 +:192.168.0.2) DNS * Proxy SMB

to, I think, the same time as the break in the game.

Has anyone else seen elsewhere? He is not related to hiring, occurs during playback of MP3 and FLAC.

Looks like a problem with the network for me, however.

I use an Airport express to keep WiFi (faster flow network).

First of all, you did recently updated on your Mac or the AirPort Express? You use a VPN connection to the streaming source? Using Back to My Mac? Since you play files FLAC, I assume that you do not use iTunes as the audio server... correct?

I recommend that you start troubleshooting cela by disabling the DNS cache on your MacBook Air with this command in Terminal:

sudo dscacheutil-flushcache. sudo killall - HUP mDNSResponder

I look forward to your reply! Thank you!

At first, I must say it's really strange that something like this happens so suddenly. It seems that your laptop can not find the HARD drive as a boot device.

Start please your laptop, then press F2 to enter the BIOS settings. Check it please on the first page if the HARD drive is recognized and registered correctly. If Yes check it please boot option in the BIOS and don't forget HARD drive is set as the first boot device.

Please post some info on the status of the BIOS and the HARD drive.

  • Cannot start on Qosmio x 300 recovery disks

    Hello everyone
I just got my Toshiba Qosmio x 300 - 13O return of repair today.
It was a note that they had replaced the hard drive, so I have to reinstall everything.
OK, no problem, I have some recovery disks to handle this.
Problem is, when I start the computer, it says:

    Intel UNDI, PXE - 2.1 (build 082)
    Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation

For Realtek RTL8100E/8101E Fast Ethernet Network Adapter v1.02 (060510)
PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of
PXE - MOF: Exit PXE ROM.

It's pretty strange, I thought, so I checked if anyone else had a similar problem.
One of the suggestions that I could find was to check the BIOS boot configuration, which I did with no effect.
Another suggestion is to disable the LAN, which I also tried, but... after reboot, it says:
    Operating system not found.
I also tried resetting the BIOS with no effect factory settings so my question is quite simple, what to do now?
I will not open the computer because I'm worried about my warranty so any help is appreciated.

    Hello

Have you ever used recovery disks in the past?

At first you can not use some recovery disks but the disks with recovery designed for your model laptop image. I have a Qosmio x 300-14 x and I have 4 discs for her recovery DVDs (self created).
This message occurs if the OS is not installed on HDD and recovery disc doesn t start.
In the trunk, the order is listed LAN too and if the list of all bootable devices in front of LAN can not start then you will see this message and there is nothing unusual.

So please use just original recovery discs.
Start your laptop and press F12 repeatedly
When you have the menu with all bootable devices, place the recovery disc 1 into the optical disc drive.
With the up/down arrow buttons to choose the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER.

Just follow the menu on the screen.

  • What for Satellite A10-PSA10A-3V1KK miniPCI WiFi card?

    Hello

I have an old Toshiba Satellite A10-PSA10A-3V1KK and I would like to add a WiFi card in the miniPCI slot.

I understand the initial documentation that the optional cards at that time were PA3212U-4MPC and PA3273U-2MPC (my favorite, as being compatible WPA). However, these references seem quite hard to find now...

Are there other, more recent references, 100% compatible with my Satellite A10, that I might consider?

    Thanks for your help,

    * CPP *.

As much as I know there is no references to the old models of laptops, and I don't think that old notebooks are tested with new material. So everything you can find about this is info you already have.

If you want to use the faster wireless network card using new WLAN standards you use PCMCIA WLAN cards.

    Hello

To me, it seems that your HARD drive is dead.
SMART stands for self-monitoring, analysis and Reporting technical and it s a feature that reports errors with your HARD drive.

The error is clear to me; a fault has been detected on the HARD drive.
Now, the laptop can not boot into the Windows operating system because the operating system is not found. Why? Because the HARD drive seems to be dead.

In my view only new HARD drive could help!

  • How to use PCMCIA card in Satellite A300-177?

I recently bought a PCMCIA Wireless for my laptop Satellite A300-177 and when I went to fit it has discovered that they are now using the Express card.

I was wondering would this converter made http://www.roalan.com/expresscard_to_pcmcia_cardbus.htm.
I know it sounds kinda obivous but with companies these days you never know if the conections are the same, although they share the same name.

    Hello

Is your laptop delivered without WLAN card or you want to use the faster wireless network card?

The compatibility of the adapter may confirm the manufacturer itself. They must offer specifications for clean products.

In any case, I think that your laptop has WIFI on board and I don't see the reason to have this much extra. Sorry, but it looks impressive to me. I can understand that you do because the laptop is free WIFI but... I do not know.

  • Satellite A200: PXE - E61 and BOOTMGR lack error appears

    Hi people,

Little problem here, I tried installing WXP vista was on my Satellite A200-1AI and it wouldn't let me. No matter how I put the bios, vista booted from the HARD drive and I couldn't boot from the boot of Windows XP Home edition cd.

    Then.

I formatted the drive with another PC. Now when the HARD drive is in my book and I am trying to boot from the cd of Windows XP Home edition, I get the following msg:

"For Realtek RTL8100E/8101E Fast Ethernet Network Adapter v1.02 (060510).
PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of
PXE - M0F: Existing PXE ROM.

    BOOTMGR is missing
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart»

Any ideas? Any suggestions would be really useful.

    Thanks for your time,

    Dave.

    Hello

You have formatted the HARD drive in another computer and the boot manager has been destroyed.
"There is no operating system on the HARD drive and, therefore, the error message: BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart" appears

The second message PXE - M0F: existing ROM PXE said that the laptop tries to start form the LAN, but it s not able to find an OS using the connection to the local network.

Why all this error messages is displayed?
Well, I think that the CD/DVD drive cannot read the CD Windows XP inserted, and therefore in the switches to LAN.

Notes; You can boot from the disc by pressing the C key immediately after that laptop startup or you press the F12 key to get the boot menu. Then, you could choose the STRANGE as a source of start-up.

If you will not be able to boot from your Windows XP CD, I assumed that the CD is down or the CD/DVD drive can not handle this CD.

  • Satellite L450 - 18 H - startup error - Media test failure, check cable of

    Hello.

I bought 2 notebooks L450 - 18 H with FreeDOS and two of them give an error at startup:

For Realtek RTL8100E/8101E Fast Ethernet Network Adapter v1.02 (060510)
PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of
PXE - MOF: Exit PXE ROM.

First boot in the BIOS - HDD device.

I would like to be loaded from the CD boot for installation of the system. Start device first in the BIOS CD (or F12-> CD) - the same error.

    What should I do?

This laptop has been delivered without an operating system then you need to install support only OS.
If you get this message again and again your drive for the installation of the OS makes problems.

Have you tested with different bootable devices?

  • I have a few questions about the internet and partition recovery

I deleted completely OS X Yosemite and only left Windows. Now that I'm pretty sick of Windows and want to use my Macbook Air for real, I am using recovery of the internet (order and R) to reinstall OS X.

I backed up all my data and that you haven't stored anything in my Macbook. My questions are: (I know they are long, but they are quick to respond)

    1. I want to erase everthing on my Mac. I have now 3 partitions. After starting and pressing command + R, I would use disk utility to erase everything, like this .

After you click Delete, would be merged my 3 partitions in 1 and I could repartition my Mac?

    2. I want to create a partition for OS X Yosemite (and possibly upgrade to El Capitan). What is the minimum recommended size for partition OS X Yosemite? (Because my SSD is only 128 GB)

    3. Let's say I create 3 partitions, let's name A for OS X, B for my data and C for reinstalling Windows. If I boot into Windows, I'd be able to use (read and modify) data on B, or just OS X could do that?

4 the amount of data I should download during the recuperation of the Internet? I guess that much since I'm downloading the OS X package, but my internet is quite slow, so I want to know how of SGB I have to download.

5 If I asks me to enter the Apple ID to download OS X, would any book Apple ID?

Thanks for reading. I would be extremely grateful if you answer my questions. See you soon

    • 0: have backups of everything that you care and disconnect external drives except those you use specifically.  While he isn't supposed to, repartitioning should always be supposed to cause a total loss of data.  Corruptions can and do happen sometimes, unfortunately.  Stray user commands can sometimes target bad drives for erasure or repartitioning, because errors can happen.  Do not connect anything unnecessarily.
    • 1: Yes.  You want to create a volume of GPT partitions.
    • 2: let Yosemite size and add his own scores.
    • 3: using Boot Camp to add the Windows partition.  With a small that disk, I might well Park out Windows on an external storage device, or use a virtual machine, and Windows as a guest.   In general, add additional user-defined partitions are not general, something I recommend.  Resizing and adding and removing partitions can meet with corruptions, provide for backups.

  • cRIO-9073 only with Labview 8.6? Data record?

I don't know if you have a special forum for the cRIOS. If so, tell me

A guys at work told me, he bought a cRIO 9073 two years because he wanted to save the data on vehicles on a USB key.

He has never had time to work with this thing, after all, and today he asked me, if I can try to get this to work. I had never seen one of those from before, but as far I see this device is no usb port and using the ethernetport to connect to a WLAN-bridge will not work, because when you drive around in the car, you will leave the fast enough network - so I guess the only way to do it might be loggin data in internal memory (128 MB). Is this fair?

The other problem is, we only have a single license for Labview 8.2 here (the rest is 7.1 )-are there a chance that I can write a Labview program for the cRIO with whom? It is stated in the specifications minimum labview version: 8.6 necessary .

I can work around that somehow?

Yes, you need save data on the Flash drive internal, then copy it off the power when you can plug it into a network.

Write code for the cRIO, you need real-time tools box and perhaps also the FPGA Toolbox.

If the documentation indicates that you need 8.6 to target the cRIO, then it is you need.  Where did you see that?  I know that 8.5 could target former cRIO controllers, but it is quite possible that 8.6 was the first version with support for this model.
