  • What is the brand and model of the computer?
  • Remember to no particular change in the computer before the show?
  • When was the last time it worked?

  Video card problems are the most common cause of this problem.

  Try the following troubleshooting procedures in the order. If the steps described in the first procedure does not resolve the problem, continue to the next procedure.

  Step 1: Reinstall your video driver

  1. Right click on the bar tasks and then click Start Task Manager.

  2. Click on the processes tab, click explorer.exe, and then click end process.

  3. Click file, and then click new task (run).

  4. In the text box open, type explorer.exe, and then click OK.

  5. Click on the Start button , go into the Device Manager in the start search box, and then, in the search results, click on the peripheral Manager.

  6. Double-click on display the cards, right click the display device, click Update driver software, and then follow the steps in the wizard that appears. You can also visit the website of the manufacturer of the computer support and install the latest available graphics cards for the same model of computer you have.

  Note: After the driver is re-installed, you may need to restart your computer to complete the installation. You may also need to adjust the resolution of the display to its previous value. For more information, see change your screen resolution.

  Step 2: Search for registry problems

  1. Right click on the bar tasks and then click Start Task Manager.

  2. Click on the processes tab, click explorer.exe, and then click end process.

  3. Click fileand then click new task (run)

     In the text box open, type explorer.exe, and then click OK.

  4. Click on the Start button , type regedit in the search box, and then, in the search results, click on regedit.exe.

  5. Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

  6. Click to select the WinLogon key and then in the right pane, click on Shell. The value of shell in the data column must be explorer.exe. If the value of Shell is not explorer.exe, double-click Shell, and then, in the value data text box, type explorer.exe, and then click OK.

  7. Close the registry editor and restart your PC.

  Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.   If this procedure resolves the issue, you are finished. If this is not the case, proceed to the next set of steps.

  Step 3: Start the computer in safe mode and run system restore

  1. Click on the Start button , click the arrow next to Shut Down, and then click restart.

  2. Do one of the following:

     • If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

     • If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start in safe mode, and then press F8.

  3. In the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode, and then press enter.

  4. Log your computer with a user account with administrator rights. When your computer is in safe mode, you will see marked Safe Mode in the corners of your screen.

  5. Click on the Start button , type "System Restore" in the search box, click System Restore, and then click Next. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  6. Choose a restore point when your PC worked as expected, click Next, and then click Finish.

  7. Restart your computer normally.

  Important: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed after this date are deleted.

  If these steps resolve the issue, you are finished. If not, try to repeat the steps and chooses an older restore point (if available). If that does not resolve the problem, contact your computer manufacturer or the technical support for further assistance.

• Problem by dragging the object 3D (CS4)

  I have a movieClip/displayObject that contains multiple child display objects, only 1 of which I can move using startDrag(). Everything is good until the parent is transformed with a Tween rotationY. Once this is applied the startDrag code no longer works and I can't move the clip around more, even if the rotationY value is back to 0. Is there anyway to get around this problem. I looked on the web and that you did not find the body with a similar problem. I assume a 3D problem which is new in CS4 its still early days for problems finding.
  
  Is it possible to reset the displayObject to a normal via actionscript display 2D object when the Tween is completed.
  
  Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.

  Its always the case, you add a question on a forum and then manage to resolve before someone answers.

  I managed to solve my problem and managed to get the object by saving a copy of the the displayObject's transformation matrix before the 3D transform is applied and then then I apply just the saved matrix return. Then, it erases any substance 3D and allows the startDrag things start working again.

  Save the matrix
  var savedMatrix:Matrix = myClip.transform.matrix

  make your 3d stuff to your clip

  reset the clip
  myClip.transform.matrix = savedMatrix:Matrix

  Go to the devices-Audio-preference tab and change the input/output to a valid selection - disable CoreAudio - apply changes and enable CoreAudio and apply the changes.

  Basically - just ensure that inputs and outputs are valid and re - initialize the driver.

  All the drivers are installed. But on the screen display is not working properly. Display nothing when I press the volume high/low/mute key. However, other buttons like Fn + F5, Fn + F3 appear on the screen.

  I have a 25 inch wide HP - LCD HD monitor, since installation, Firefox AND Google Chrome only display the page in the center of the screen all scrunched up, there is nothing on both sides of the screen but the white color of the Web page I'm on (including this page), this only happens in Firefox and Google Chrome, Internet Explorer (which I can't stand) shown in the image on the screen in the same way it would on one normal monitor 19 inches

  I tried full screen and it does not fix the problem at all, it is remove the address bar and menu and the image is still in the middle of the screen just crumpled, the attached image shows what look like most all web pages (the image displayed is the page I am currently able to post my question as I just took a screenshot) , on the only page that seems normal is each page in Internet Explorer, the pages I visit in Firefox and Google Chrome, like eBay, Craigslist and any forum I'm going, looks like the attached image, once, this happens only in Firefox and Google Chrome, I just (yesterday) was installing a reformat full and fresh, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and SP1 , it's the same problem that I had before the reformatting and the new facility, it's the 36.0.1 Firefox Version and he said its updated, I tried all settings, including zoom and text zoom, with he does nothing to broadcast the image on the screen as it is MUST

• I have somehow added a splitter to my browser screen. When I open firefox there are 2 screens with separate scroll bars. I do not use the add on feature that allows the separation of the screen. I can't find a command to remove the 2nd screen.
