  So now CS5 Illustrator to work the selection tool stopped allowing me to transform things. So if I want to scale or rotate the things I go tools, which gets really annoying quickly.   Looks like interference from other applications or the corruption of preferences.

  Try the following (you may have tried / some of them already) and see if it helps:

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer;

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift at startup.

  4) move the folder with Illy closed;

  (5) browse and test the relevant among other options.

• Cannot select Tools? (PSE 9, Mac Lion)

  I recently installed the PES 9 and have just started using it. I have problems by selecting tools. When I float the cursor above them, they darken, but sometimes by clicking on them to select them and other times it nothing happens. If I click several times, or click and hold, or click a different tool, and then come back, sometimes that will select the tool. Other times, it seems that it is not a 'thing' I can do.

  Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

  Exit the editor and restart it by pressing command-shift-option. Keep the key down until you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do. Also, did repair permissions after installation? If this is not the case, what to do before deleting the settings file.

  I use the latest version of Photoshop CC and in all the documents, I try to use the marquee selection tool, I get a warning:

  WARNING: No pixel is selected more than 50%. Selected edges will be visible.

  Is this a bug or am I the only one having this problem?

  Hi Mom,

  Go to the Photoshop preferences, then on the performance tab.

  Here under history and Cache, please click 'Big and flat', restart Photoshop.

  Then try using the quick selection tool and let me know if it helps.

  I'm having some trouble with my Adobe Photoshop elements 11.  I was using the program to work on multiple images earlier (png or JPEG) and for some reason, the selection tool found in 'Deselect' mode. The selection circle is filled permanently with the symbol 'Less' and will do anything with the first click - Select only then it deselects everything. I tried pressing and pressing the ALT key, I tried to close the program, I even tried to restart my computer none of this is the resolution of the problem. I'll have to reinstall the whole program, or are there other ideas out there?

  With the selected tool go to the options bar (bottom right) and click the menu drop-down menu icon - see image below - choose Reset tool.

  If it's on the rectangular objects, you may have encountered the bug Rectangle Live which is limited to the MAC versions from 10.7 and 10.8, but not of 10.9 (Mavericks) or 10.10 (Yosemite). If all goes well, the bug will be fixed soon.

  Thus, a switch for the Mavericks or Yosemite with a reinstall might be the way to solve it here and now.

  To get around it, in each case, it is possible to develop direct Rectangles to get the normal old shaped rectangles or Pathfinder > unit, or use the scale tool or the free transform tool.

  A more permanent way round that is to create normal old shaped rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:

• Problems with the "Select tool?"

  Because I have updated the latest version of Adobe Illustrator on cc, the "Select" tool does not correctly. It does not scale the rectangle shapes (made by the tool 'Form') using the "select" tool (all other forms work fine). I tried to contact customer service at this topic and it seems that it is a software update. I asked an ETA, but was initially ignored, and the 2nd time said they could not provide me with this information yet, only that he had been sent to the engineering team. • Quick selection tool problem

  My quick selection tool seems to be extremely fast to select the entire image.  Even with a very small size and a very slow movement, I have a hard time to choose what I want.  I don't remember having this problem about a week ago.

  Is there a level of sensitivity or something escapes me?  I do not have the selected quick selection tool (not the stick) and I have the reset tool.

• Problem by combining selection tools in Photoshop CC 2014

  When I make a selection using the Quick Selection tool in Photoshop CC and then switch to the Lasso tool to refine the selection, it added to what I had already selected.  If I do the same thing in 2014 CC, as soon as I click on the picture with the Lasso tool, the original selection disappears.

  Review your selection options in the toolbar options of the lasso tool.

  Looks like cc has the value Add and cc2014 has the value New

  You could keep the option on new and use the SHIFT key to add to the selection.

  a strange thing happened on my new job of first CC. The track selection tool behaves oppsite to what you expect: by default, the function is multiselect and with depressed shift is just a track (single) select and displays the ToolTip under the sequence to the SHIFT to use as select multi track. Other tools work normally, CS6 normally CC also works, on the other workstation: same question.

  I did some research on the web, but couldn't find anything useful.

  Anyone have any idea?

  This is normal.  I find a useful change.  Most of the time I want to move a group of clips, I want to move them all Flickr pictures anyway.  This eliminates the modifier key to move most of the operations.

  In the picture you can where theres a blue line, im trying (with the direct Selection tool) to lower the Strait of the horizontal line (by the rose). • Selection tool is not the tail with images when you drag

  So I had this frustrating thing for a while. When I put my selection tool a video file at first to move to the side or another layer and as soon as, like moving the selection tool a bit, he places automatically the video one layer under my selection tool... So I have to move the selection up to a length of layers tool to adjust it to the left and right on the timeline... Just a fight.   Went on the Chat with Adobe and they solved the problem via remote access.

  First on erase my personalized workspaces closed first pro. Then went to my "documents" (I have a mac) 'Adobe' and then click 'Premiere Pro' and moved three files named "6.0" "9.0" and "10.0" in a new folder, that they named "Od." Finally they opened back first. When the box came to put everything in place, they went up to the top of the window and deselected "import the project workspace" under "workspaces". I have opened a project and it fixed the problem. I had to make a new workspace and change some shortcuts custom back, but other that that, it was back to normal.
