  My Windows XP Media Center 2005 machine had a hard drive crash, and so I just replaced with a Windows 7 machine, also with a TV tuner.

  Old set up has worked perfectly, blaster/transmitter infrared has been able to control the cable box - Scientific Atlanta Explorer 2200 to Comcast.

  Set up the new machine, also with the IR Blaster.  New machine can change the channel correctly in 'Live TV'.  It works by pressing a channel upward / channel down, or entering the channel number.

  But when machine is trying to change the channel to start a new record, or jump off the Media Center Guide, it shows that the first digit, and then displays the cable box '? "and does not change the channel.  So I think it's something that the decoder does not correctly or correctly, interpret or Windows has problems, change the signal.

  I have experimented with different requirements of speed of IR and whether or not he must enter/OK but have not been able to make it work.

  Thoughts of what he must try or change then?

• Problem of Orientation/Rotation image in Lightroom 3.2 final

  It is a continuation of my previous post about this same issue at 3.2RC. It still occurs in the final version of Lightroom 3.2.

  THE PROBLEM

  Orientation of the image does not correctly in Lightroom 3.2. This affects the newly imported images and images that were already in my Lightroom database - and who have been in the database since Version 1.

  Here is a screenshot showing the strange views I see using the grid Lightroom:

  

  Note the weird angle of the image. When I use the tool Photo rotate left , the display looks like this sometimes. After a second or two, it will jump to the vertical or horizontal orientation in itself but rarely gives me the rotation of 90 degrees, this tool should give. The image can turn 90 degrees or 180 degrees, there is no way of knowing.

  When I discovered the image in Loupe or on my second monitor, the orientation shown in the display of the grid is not displayed in the Magnifier Vew. For this particular image, the grid view displays currently only there as correctly oriented as a horizontal view magnifying glass shows that it rotates 90 degrees to the right. Should not, they match?

  BACKGROUND

  I've never had a problem with the orientation of the image in any version of Lightroom preveious pre-final Lightroom 3.2RC and 3.2. Thus, there seems to be a bug in point 3.2. I am still using the same computer and video card, I've used with previous versions. My operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium. Windows and Lightroom are 64-bit.

  I use win7-64 and that you have not seen elsewhere.  I would try a video card driver update.

  the code on the timeline of the film should be placed in a function() (or better, move all your code to the main timeline).  but, if you leave the code on the timeline of the film strip, call the function that contains this code whenever the url changes.

• V32 crashes after changing orientation

  I checked the references and there are two bug fixes associated with HTML content.

  I suggest to upgrade your application to the latest version of the viewer and see if the problem persists.

  I saw through a post that someone recommended to go into the bios Setup and check a box and type 4096.

  The computer then rebooted and I had problems since.

  I need to be able to come back in my bios and change the setting to the value of the original.

• Change orientation distorts the content of the screen on Dev Alpha (10.0.6.545)

  I use the Beta 2 SDK and my Alpha Dev is updated to 10.0.6.545.

  I want my application to support the changes in orientation from portrait to landscape and back. To implement, I followed the tutorial at:

  When I flip the Alpha of Dev to change the orientation of the fashion portrait to landscape mode, it works. But when I flip it back to leave for the portrait, the content of my app's screen gets distorted / destroyed somehow so that more or less garbage appears. It is not just a question that all of my components are not moved or something (I understand I must handle this) but the screen content is garbled. When I go again in landscape mode it seems ok again. But when I go to the portrait of the screen is still once deformed. Here is a screenshot:

  

  I've found that I can reproduce this behavior also with examples of applications like weatherguesser and also with costs projects created from the project templates as examples NavigationPane or TabbedPane when I just turn on self-orientation in their bar - descriptor.xml file and just add an onCreationCompleted handler in their main.qml:

  Since the orientation change works very well for the operating system itself and the browser pre-installed too, and only my apps are affected, I think that I'm doing something wrong. Any tips?

  Or is it is a known issue in Beta 2? (I did not implement the change in orientation of support before Beta 2).

  Does anyone know if there is a quick way to change the language of the keyboard? My laptop has in Arabic and English keyboard keys, but no Arab option on the phone with the language settings.

  When I try to update the input languages to include Arabic via the desktop software, I get the following message:

  "BlackBerry® Desktop Software Update could not validate your BlackBerry® device.

  Aborting installation because of the failure of the validation. Some unsatisfied dependencies contained package. »

  The only advice I found is to go into the Woods under ~ library on my Mac with OS X 10.6.8 which will display messages to applications that need to be uninstalled as they are third parties and can not be validated. This suggests the Blackberry Appworld should be uninstalled that I did, but still have the problem.

  If anyone can help that would be great.

  Also, I would be grateful if someone can confirm if Blackberry phones are supposed to be that mind? I just spent my eighth time on it, and I'm regretting ever having bought the phone. I made phone calls with it and sent the texts in English, but other than that nothing. I already have a phone that is equal to a tenth of the cost of that tape also in Arabic, which I think is pretty useless Blackberry in comparison.

  I finally found a work around for this problem. I adapted the advice from the link here:

  In order to clarify that I was using a BB9300 3 G Curve, with BB OS 6, with the latest version of BB Desktop, running on a Mac Book Pro.

  You must clean the phone and reinstall the operating system for phones in a way that eventually flashes the RAM on the phone, as it appears a large batch of phones were shipped with this bug.

  Once invited to fix the phone, you must choose the oldest version of the operating system offered by the Repair Wizard. It will remove your personal and settings files that will need to be manually reinstalled.

  My steps were as follows:

  FIRST OF ALL MAKE SURE THAT YOUR PHONE IS NOT CONNECTED TO YOUR MACHINE AND BLACKBERRY DESKTOP IS NOT RUNNING.

  1 delete the versions of operating system stored on your Mac by going to ~Library/ApplicationSupport/BlackberryDesktop/DeviceApplications

  2. empty the Recycling / Bin of the "trash".

  3 remove the battery from your Blackberry and then connect to your computer via a USB cable. The phone will display a battery with a red cross. The desktop software is expected to launch after that the phone is connected.

  4. you will be asked to repair or restart the phone. Opt for repair and you should be presented with different versions of earlier operating systems. He recommended the latest version for me, but in fact I found that I had to go straight to the first version of the operating system available which was OS5. Select this option and then start the download.

  5. I found that the phone has downloaded the whole software at once, but in the original notice it says that on the phone may need to be reconnected several times it falls, close and restart BB Desktop software every time. I found that it only happened when you try to install later versions of the operating system.

  6. halfway through the installation of the progress bar said "waiting for device commissioning. At this point, reinsert the battery.

  7. then wait that the phone restart which took more than 20 minutes for me.

  8. This should have completed the installation. Especially when the phone is installed with the OS5 he gave me an option to choose the input languages available on the phone and remove those unwanted. I received a message on BB Office recommends that upgraded the operating system 6, I did, and now works with the input languages.

• Problems of Orientation of Smartphones blackBerry while using e-mail and message center

  Today, for some reason any my storm stopped letting me see my messages folder, text message or email to landscape view.  I was able to view the landscape for the mails this morning, but not when I'm home from work today.  To make it even more weird, if I'm going to call and say I want to write a text message, this text is displayed in landscape mode.  If this person texts me back well and I hit answer, he returned to portrait view.  Because I can't get the full keyboard in landscape mode, it's really, really boring.

  It will easily pass landscape view in the home screen and in a web browser and almost never program but email and the message center.

  I can even start at the sight of the landscape in one program and switch Center by e-mail or messaging, and he'll be back pack in portrait mode without changing the device.

  I have turned the unit on and off and that did not help.

  This looks like one of the many problems that are clarified by a hard reboot ("power off" selection is a soft reboot). With the machine running, remove the back cover and pull the battery. Wait a minute or two and reinsert the battery and replace the cover. Switch on the device and wait patiently through the long long reboot process long (perhaps as long as 10 minutes). See if the problem is cleared up. Like all computing devices, a normal reboot is a healthy thing (and there is a thread in this forum recommends doing this every four days).

• Problems, change workspaces

  Dear friends,

  I have a few cases of APEX configured to use authentication for the connections of developer (APEX Builder) HTTP header Variable. This is a great feature that allows our developers to have a single SSO account with access to several workspaces, as well as a convenient way to switch between them.

  

  However, after you have patched to 5.0.1 support to change workspaces seems to be broken. By clicking on the 'change' workspace simply refers me to the launch page of the current workspace (app id: 4500, page id: 1000). To Access workspace selection page (app id: 4550, page id: 20), now, I have to force a new session ID to be generated by the removal of the ID of the current session. Oddly enough, 'Space of change-work' works perfectly when the current workspace is "internal".

  
  

  This feature allows to work pleasantly with 5.0.0 and is consistent in all instances, so I wonder if it's just me or is there someone else has experienced similar problems.

  This has been confirmed to be a bug and was quickly resolved by the orclapex dev team! Thank you!

  If you have upgraded to 5.0.1 and use varying methods of HTTP header or SSO authentication for access to the generator, then this is likely to affect you. A fix is available as a patch set exception and can be downloaded from MOS. Search patch #21501621.

• Problem change time zones

  Why pre schedule changing time zones automatically when you travel across the country?  It's very frustrating!  If I'm in Los Angeles Monday and spread the word of a meeting in New York at 12:00 (noon) Wednesday, I just want to put the meeting in my diary for Wednesday at noon. But after traveling across the country, my appointment for Wednesday has moved before 3 hours on my calendar because he thinks that I had the meeting scheduled for 12:00 WEST COAST TIME. Today's meeting shows a 15:00 start time. If I change time zone once again, the meeting on my calendar moves again to reflect the change. My old Palm trees did not do that.  The iphone does not.  I think it's just too ask us to perform calculations of zone in our heads before entering appointments.  PLEASE SOLVE THIS PROBLEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

  This feature can be disabled if the zone will not be updated but the time will be even.

  If you open your launcher and then look for a date and time (normally on the 3rd page). Once in here turn off "network time zone" in this way the zone will not update when traveling anywhere.

• Problem change event banners

  I can no longer change images banner event after I created an event. The first banner that I download when you create the event works, but it does not work if I try to change it later to a different banner image. I still not see either the original image or a white space appears instead. I tried with several types of files and in different browsers, but the problem persists. Everyone knows about this problem? Is it possible to fix it?

• Problem change an internal hyperlink to the new destination

  I work with a document (77 pages) created originally to InDesign CS5.5 on a Mac.  I'm now working with her on InDesign CS6 on a Mac OS 10.7.4.

  I need to update the destination of many of the existing hypertext links in the summary document title.

  One of the problems is that the hyperlinks does not show that the document contains all the hyperlinks existing in the links Panel, which is strange.  When I export the document as an interactive PDF, the table of contents is linked to internal pages.

  Here are the steps I took:

  • I pointed out the existing text (hyperlink) in the title of the summary document
  • Choose new hyperlink Destination-> Type-> Page.
  • Select the Page #.
  • Sets the zoom value.
  • Save the document.
  • Export interactive PDF.

  The link does not update to the new page # I selected.

  I don't have the ability to create a new hyperlink, since it is grayed out.

  I exported as an IDML and repeated all the steps.  No difference.

  Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

  If you create a Table of contents using the table of contents function, this operation automatically creates a hyperlink and the destination is defined when the table of contents. These hyperlinks do not show in the hyperlinks Panel, like the links created manually. You will not be able to reallocate the destination in Indesign. The TOC links are visible in Acrobat by selecting the Connector tool, and then modify the destination, but not recommended for the many changes of destination. Where the content has been moved to different pages ID and manual changes to the table of contents, the destinations of these hyperlinks are probably not correct. You can delete all the external hyperlinks and regenerate a table of contents with the new link and created destinations and see if that fixes the problem.
