Problem device vCenter & Web-Client

Hello

I deploy new servers with VMware vSphere with VMware vCenter Server Appliance 5.5.

I have a problem! When I connect to my server vCenter Server with vSphere Client, it shows all, host and the VM.

But with vSphere Web Client, show only the 2 host and the VM of vCenter device. In addition, this presenter "not responding" but with vSphere Client run without problems

Could you help me?

Thank you

Hello

I solved the problem by resetting the database. I lost all the configuration but works fine

Thank you

  • vCenter Web Client does not

I recently (about 4 hours ago) installed the vCenter device on my host and had running.  When I'm with thevCenter via the client, everything goes well and I can manage the server.  The problem is that I can't seem to be able to use the web client.  I have check and the web client runs but when I go to the page I'm greeted by the default Apache screen telling me that Apache is running, but something is not configured right.  I was wondering if anyone else saw cela and if so, how you fix it.

    Hi KissTobor,

I try ping psc.test.local, result was compensate, DNS name has not solved. As a result, I found that I can't ping my domen controller. Problem was in my network, routing did not work well.

  • Change the name of 'pending of interaction' vcenter Web Client

Our VM application process has a simple custom web form that triggers a query XML in our environment of VCO, where he sits and waits admins to configure the computer virtual based on requirements.  While he is there, the text is a very non-utile ' ProvisionVM: Site check ' which is workflowName:Step.  He also later stops to an intermediate step which cannot be rolled in the first presentation.

My question is if it is a good way to define the name displayed in the web client to vCenter to something dynamic in the settings.  What I really want to do, is to do like workflowName:RequestedName:Step, or something on that order.  Basically, I would like to be able to say, on this first page, what has been the past in the name of the virtual machine.  If I click in a few pages, I see that there is in it, but that is a bit complicated and then I may have to browse all other tracks to see the tracks on hold.

Currently, there is no way. But I agree that having a bit more dynamism in the presentation could be useful in some cases to use, so we can consider it for future versions.

  • Problem installing vSphere Web Client on Windows 8.1

    Hello

I want to install VMware vSphere Web Client on Windows 8.1 to connect to a server ESXi vShpere. But I get an error message stating "the product cannot be installed on Windows XP SP2 and higher.

Well WIndows 8.1 is "WIndows XP SP2 that precedes" but its obviously not recognized as such.

Question: does anyone have a solution to overcome this defective version of the installer check?

    cordially Edmond

Nothing in particular. Just thought while I reinstall my client pc to install the last managementoption of the ESXi server. And I thought that to be the webclient service.

Thanks for all the information. Super!

  • vCenter - vSphere Web Client problem

    Hello

We have some problems with our Web Client vSphere. The vCenter 5.1 is installed on a Windows Server 2012, and you can connect to the Web Client.

When you log on as "Administrator" (the Windows account) everything works fine, but when you use the admin@System-Domain account you can connect, but there is no display resources:

No ESXi hosts, no VMs, no data warehouses, nothing.

    CU

Well you would login to VC using the account administrator (via the web client), click on the Victoria Cross and select the permissions tab, and then add the admin@system-domain and assign the required permissions.

  • Web Client - continually loses connection - Essentials Plus 6.0.0b

Hey guys, looking for some help on a very annoying issue.

    Essentials more 6.0.0b

    3 guests ESXi (HP DL360 G9)

A win 2 K 8 R2 server vCenter Server hosting and platform services controller.

I had no problem ESXi configuration on hosts, configure vCenter, adding hosts to vCenter, configure SSO with our domain name and a few virtual computer running test.

The problem I have is with the web client.  While using it, it frequently disconnects with the message "Could not connect to vSphere Web Client.  Contact your administrator to resolve this problem. ».   It happens randomly.  I then refresh the web page, it is up to the top and it works normally again for a while until the error repeats.  This occurs by using any browser on a few different workstations.

The client desktop ordinary vSphere works very well.  No disconnects, no errors.  It's just the web client.

I increased the storage available in flash for the site on Unlimited. Other ideas for me to try?  I've attached a screenshot of the error in Chrome.

I found the problem.  It is AVG Anti-Virus Business Edition, version 2016.  More specifically, in the program, it's the web component or components of the computer (resident shield), most likely the web component.  The 2013 version has similar components, but does not cause a problem with the web client.   All workstations, that I tried first had been upgraded to the version of 2016.    Disable AVG on these systems will stop the question.

... Now to see if I can find to change the specific settings in 2016 AVG.  I'll post here if I find.   I will also contact AVG about that, I'm sure I won't be the first person to encounter this problem.

  • "Convert a model" in the web client

In vSphere client one of the default options for a VMguest is to "convert a model."

I use it a lot, I have a couple of models, after a few weeks/months I convert a VM + updated everything what is necessary + convert model.

The conversions back are almost instantaneous.

With the web client, I can convert an existing model to become a virtual machine, but I can't find the option "convert to a model.

This means that if I want to update a model, I find myself with a long process of "clone model" and plus my original CD VM is left behind, requires me to remove it to clean the models folder.

If this option is not added, or have I missed something obvious?

If indeed, it is not available, does anyone know why it's been left in the first place?

    Thanks in advance,

    Mark

The option convert to model in the vCenter Web Client should be available in the "All actions of vCenter" section as shown in the attached picture. (This is the Web Client 5.1).

Has anyone of you faced a similar problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi all

Well, I have found a workaround which I'll post for future reference. It consists, essentially, by following the steps in the Web Client of Primavera.

    1. click on the drop-down menu located next to the project tab
    2. Select the projects you want to open.

    Voila! The error message disappeared.

I hope this saves us all some time in the future.

  • vSphere SSL for the Web Client (device vCenter) certificate error

    Hello

I installed ESXi 5.5 and right once I deployed the device vCenter. After the configuration and a few reboots, I navigates to the web client, and I get this error when I try to logon:

"Based on the current configuration, the authentication server's SSL certificate was not reliable."

I have until this google everything on the subject and outside tutorials on how to change certificates in the Windows version of vCenter, nothing on the device of vCenter. I was happy when I found the 'Certificate regeneration enabled' checkbox, but that did not help either. I can test successfully SSO settings in the control panel of vCenter.

    Everyone please?

Edit: I should also mention that I am not able to connect to vCenter with the vSphere client. I get the "Cannot complete the connection by incorrect username or password". I use [email protected] as user name.
