Problem Insert apostrophe

Hello. I have a problem inserting data in a form that contains an apostrophe, as a surname as O'Hara. I don't get any errors but after that the O is empty or trimmed. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. This is a MS SQL database. If anyone can take a look and help, here is the code:

"< name cfquery = 'name' username =" "#application.datasource #" password = "#application.datasource #" datasource = "db" >
Insert into the contact form
(firstname, lastname, address, city, State, PostalCode, homePhone, as workPhone, e-mail,
financialAid, former fighter, visa, list, programofinterest, howdidyouhear)
values
(< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.firstname #" >,)
< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.lastname #" >.
< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.address #" >.
< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.city #" >.
< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.state #" >.
< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.zipCode #" >.
< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.homePhone #" >.
< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.workPhone #" >.
< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.email #" >.
< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.financialAid #" >.
< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.veteran #" >.
< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.visa #" >.
< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.list #" >.
< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.programofinterest #" >.
< cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#form.howdidyouhear #" >
)
< / cfquery >

Your request code seems OK to me. Is it possible that another code is changing the values of your fields of form.xxxx? Can you put all of your code related to this issue? Have you tried using the generator profiles SQL Server tool to see what data is passed to SQL server by your query?

  • RH11: Problem inserting data related to FM (FM10 and FM12) in a Robohelp project

    Hi all!

    We have 2 very newTCS 5 facilities (3.5 updates):

    All existing HR projects include data related to FM.

    On one of the workstations, we have serious problems.

    Old RH9 project work.

    BUT new RH11 is looping in calculation without end, when I try to update

    When I insert a FM related to a new project or existing projects.

    The error (after 10 minutes) says, that the FM file is not a propper FM file or Framemaker must be installed.

    FM 10 and 12 are installed and the files can be loaded without error. FM works without problem.

    This problem occurs only on a station, we looked

    the differences, but to no avail.

    We have re-installed the RH11, but no change.

    What can do us?

    Help, please!

    I have a machine configured with several versions of TCS and they run fine. That said, I would be a link with Word rather than Fm.

    I notice that begin you by saying TCS and mention then reinstall HR. I wonder if the problem is with Rh Fm see under the CHT, rather than as a separate application. You can only link with Fm if it was installed as part of the CHT, rather than as a separate application.

  • problem inserting images, Dreamweaver mingled on the folders root

    Hello

    I had trouble inserting images and have them recognize and Live view mode in the browser.  The images are placed in the root folder and I call attention to their CBC (whether they are in a folder for example).

    My dreamweaver has been having some issues that I think might be related.  When I open the program I get "to the ___.com of local root folder does not exist.  Please select a new local root folder by clicking the sites button handle. "Often when I try to insert a picture, Dreamweaver also says"your image is outside the site folder.  Your site folder is___.com, you'd like a copy put there? »

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Susan, look for a folder of images in double possible with images of problem that is outside the root folder and of course check to distinguish uppercase / lowercase letters in the file names of your links.

  • Problem inserting Photos

    I'm trying to insert a photo on our Web site, I've done several times before, but for some reason any, it does not for the moment.

    I resized and saved the picture as I normally do. On the page I then make sure that the cursor is where I want the photo and go to insert, then picture, choose the image and it comes just as a broken link.

    Help!

    On the web, don't not use spaces in file or folder names.  This can create problems.  Rename your image in Yak_Hat.jpg or Yak - Hat.jpg without space and try to re-insertion.  Save the page and preview in browsers.

  • Problem with Apostrophe

    Hello

    I have a simple input form that contains a text comment box. If a user enters text in the comments field that contains an apostrophe ('), the record is not inserted into the table, and we get an ORA-06553: PLS-103: encountered the symbol "" when expecting one of the following values:

    Once the apostrophe is removed from the text, the record inserted successfully.

    Is there a solution for this? Im working with 4 Apex.

    Thank you very much

    LauraK says:

  • Problem inserting record using INSERT INTO

    I'm an amateur web by using the features of ColdFusion Builder to access an Access database information. I know very little about the ColdFusion syntax, but I use Dreamweaver CS3 to generate most of the code. I'm working on a page of the insert file to create a database of the user with the login information. I don't know what the problem is, but I get a syntax error referencing this particular part of the code:

    Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement.
    The error occurred in C:\ColdFusion9\wwwroot\Everett\register.cfm: line 22

    Here is the entire page with line 22 (referenced in the error message) in red. Any ideas?

    Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement. INSERT INTO Users ([First Name], [Last Name], [Email Address], Password)

    This oh-so-vague error is "Password" is a reserved word with your database driver.  Is it escape by putting brackets around it too, either rename the column permanently. It is best to avoid using reserved words where possible. To rename the column is the best option.  In addition, I try and avoid using invalid characters such as spaces in column names i.e. "first name". It is technically possible, but it requires special treatment everywhere that adds unnecessary complexity.

    I don't know what the problem is, but I get a syntax error referencing this particular part of the code:

    Do not take as gospel error line numbers. Sometimes, they simply indicate that the error is in the vincinty of this line.

    I use Dreamweaver CS3 to generate most of the code

    Unforutnately, DW assistants generate some really terrible and verbose code.  To give you an idea, here's what the query should look like, without all the nonsense of the wizard.

        INSERT INTO Users ([First Name], [Last Name], [Email Address], [Password])

        VALUES (

         ,

         ,

         ,

        )

    CF is fairly easy to learn. You can start browsing the CF documentation and some tutorials to familiarize yourself with the language. As you work with a database, I also recommend a SQL tutorial.

  • problem inserting of titles in long audio file

    I use audition 2.0 and work with audio tracks for a long time, in which I use markers to track during combustion.

    My problem is that once I have burn the project, while the tracks are there, the names of the tracks (names) are NOT appear when I test in Windows Media Player.

    I used the hearing for years, but this little problem me stumpted.

    Marker type I select is a marker for 'track '.

    I typed the name of "label".

    In the dialog box 'CD list follow the use', I've fiddled with every imaginable combination of things to the list or remove them from the list.

    After the insertion of markers, I 'mix' ed or "recorded under" reinserted, or just parked in the CD session and burned.

    I read the forums and my book of hearing class and I can't source a solution.

    I need names appear in my songs. What escapes me, please?

    Thank you

    Allen anderson wrote:

    If the hearing cannot score the runs for common players such as WMP can read labels, what other software would recommend that I would incorporate my mixer?

    The whole issue is a problem WMP, not a hearing one. WMP does not read what is actually on the disk at all - it reads the UPC/EAN code, and search relevant information stored on the disk - which fails to do in the case of your home one, obviously.

    Writing of CD-text only written the artist and title, with the UPC/EAN. If you want to get WMP to read the CD-text at all, must have WMP 10, and must also have the plugin WMPCDText to go with it before it will show. If you want more information, look here.

    Forum/newsgroup transfer what has changed these characters for those
    three folder names in?

    so... I guess they are superior ascii? funky characters? accented?

    the solution would be to use a normal path to folder with characters.

  • Problem inserting a record. Help, please

    I can't get my insert statement to work correctly. I keep watching it over and it is written correctly, but he does not draw correctly and does not start and error. It just does nothing.

    I enclose my code for 2 pages. Page 1 is my form, this form is to do as well to update an existing record and insert a new record. This time, on this page, he manages the existing record and edit very well, same is updated correctly on the action page. But the new record is not post. The 2nd page, I write is my action query. I don't think that's the problem, I think it is in my form.

    Can someone please help me it works correctly?

    Thank you.

    I found it, I dumped a couple of different variables, and with the changes that I made, I received the form. RecordID pass. Was not far away and think for a little while.

    Thank you very much for the help.

  • Trigger with a problem - insert only situation where not exists

    Hello experts!

    I have a problem with a trigger, that I am creating. It compiles, but I get an error message when the trigger is activated.

    The scenario is as follows:

    I have a TBL_PUNKTDATEN table. Whenever the State of a record in this table is passed to 3 or 4 I need the trigger to insert a dataset object in my target (TBL_ARBEIT_ZU_GEBIET) table.
    However, the trigger must insert data only when there is no existing record in the target table. The condition that specifies whether or not, there is a group of data is the LNG_GEBIET field, which exist in the source as well as in the target table. Therefore, for every LNG_GEBIET there may be only one set of data in the table target!

    I created a trigger using the following code. However, it does not work.

    Maybe you'll see what I want to achieve at a glance to my code.

    Can you please help me on this one?

    Thank you very much!

    Sebastian
    create or replace
    TRIGGER set_status_arbeit_zu_gebiet AFTER
      UPDATE ON TBL_PUNKTDATEN FOR EACH ROW WHEN(new.INT_STATUS=3 or new.INT_STATUS=4)

    declare
        cursor c is select LNG_GEBIET from TBL_ARBEIT_ZU_GEBIET where PNUM = 1114 and LNG_GEBIET=:new.LNG_GEBIET;
        x number;
    begin
        open c;
        fetch c into x;
        if c%NOTFOUND  then
        INSERT INTO TBL_ARBEIT_ZU_GEBIET
            (
            LNG_GEBIET,
              LNG_ARBEITSSCHRITT,
              PNUM,
              INT_BEARBEITER,
              DATE_DATUM,
              GEPL_DATUM
            )
            VALUES
            (:new.LNG_GEBIET,
             52,
             1114,
             895,
             sysdate,
             to_date('01.01.1990', 'DD.MM.YYYY')
            );
        end if;
    end;
    Well, on the first insert the code works correctly and inserts the recordset as expected. However, if there is an existing recordset object where: new. LNG_GEBIET corresponds to LNG_Gebiet in my target table, I get the error ORA-06502!

    Maybe spcifies it a little?

    I hope you can help me!

    Thank you!

    Hi Sebastian,.

    Looks like LNG_GEBIET is not a data type of NUMBER?

    Trying to change that

    declare
        cnumber number;
        cursor c2 is select LNG_GEBIET from TBL_ARBEIT_ZU_GEBIET where PNUM = 1114 and LNG_GEBIET=:new.LNG_GEBIET;
    begin
    open c2;
    fetch c2 into cnumber;

    in

    declare
        cursor c2 is select LNG_GEBIET from TBL_ARBEIT_ZU_GEBIET where PNUM = 1114 and LNG_GEBIET=:new.LNG_GEBIET;
        v_c2  c2%ROWTYPE;
    begin
    open c2;
    fetch c2 into v_c2;

    This way you don't care datatypes or number of fields in the cursor c2.

    Peter

  • Problem inserting in table 2D

    Hello

    I am trying to add an item at the end of the rank 0 to a table 2D (5 times).

    Then, add an element at the end of row 1 of table 2D (5 times). etc...

    I get the line of interest with the Board index, then add my new item with picture of compilation and use replace subset of table to the line in the 2D array.

    However, I find myself with an array of 25 x 1 instead of 5 x 5.

    It seems that LV 2012 supports the replacement of a single element of wiring to the input line and col but I am running LV2010.

    The attached .jpg is an excerpt of the original code.

    The attached .vi is an example, I play with to try to understand what I am doing wrong.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi eblohm,

    There are two fundamental problems with your VI:

    (1) a table will be always "rectangular". As soon as you add an element to a single line all other lines with also get an item (set to default values) added...

    (2) ReplaceArraySubset will replace existing items only! You try to replace the non-existing elements (aka get your table), it won't work.

    Have you even tried to debug your VI with highlighting to market?

    Possible solution:

    Set your table with the final size! Use ReplaceArraySubset to replace unique elements in your picture!

  • Problem inserting video inside the slideshow widget

    Hello

    I am trying to add a YouTube inside the Lightbox widget. I tried using the social/youbube widget and using the iFrame of the youtube video code and placing it inside the slideshow widget.

    I followed an older tutorial online, but I can't make this work using Muse CC.

    What I want to do is to create a small button, which in this case would be a small point instead of the thumbnail, and then once clicked on a video would be open.

    If anyone can help solve me this problem I would be grateful.

    Thank you

    1. Select the widget to the basic Composition. (see attachment)

    2. make sure that "hide all first" is checked (change other options such as contour fill etc..)

    3. Select the YouTube widget and drag it to the Inbox of basic Composition. See attachment (outline of the box will highlight in blue to indicate that the widget is inside)

    4. make sure that 'Auto Play' is checked in the options of YouTube.

  • Problem inserting values into a table

    Hi all

    I'm newbe and I'm stack.
    I have a human tasks (model begun), which contains 4 input fields (all channels).
    I have a complex data type called Test, which is defined as 2 channel fileds (Description and result) and a registered number (test).
    I have a Test table, insiemiDiTest.
    What I want to do is to create 2 test object in the input fields and insert in the insiemiDiTest table, to then be able to use the loop to insert into the DB.
    Assume that the user insert the following information in the filed entry:
    INPUT1 descrTest1
    ResultTest1-INPUT2
    INPUT3 descrTest2
    INPUT4 resultTest2
    I want to play in the process of the insiemiDiTest variable of length 2 and the following content:
    insiemiDiTest [1] .testNumber = 1
    insiemiDiTest [1] .description = descrTest1
    insiemiDiTest [1] property = resultTest1
    insiemiDiTest [2] .testNumber = 2
    insiemiDiTest [2] .description = descrTest2
    insiemiDiTest [2] property = resultTest2

    If I use data binding and I have a link
    INPUT1 with .description insiemiDiTest [1]
    INPUT2 with property insiemiDiTest [1]
    Number('1') with .testNumber insiemiDiTest [1]
    I get an error saying that the insiemiDiTest [1] .description is empty and cannot be copied.

    Unfortunaly I can't directly use the table in the task of the user, because later I have to use the conversation when the calling process and we found I have limitation.
    I can get an indication on how to do it.
    I'm approccing in the right way or am I completely wrong?
    Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas.

    Because your input is coming from a few strings and not a table, you can just add a Script activity to your process and to define table of your target XSD using XML.

    To do this, you must add a Script to the activity-> click on "Data Associations"-> drag the icon above your target expression builder object on the right side (not the table but the table parent)-> open the XPath expression box in the Middle-> click 'XPath Exp' in the drop-down list at the top.

    I don't know what your XSD, but in the text below, I tried to show you the XML you need for this XPath expression using the values you provided.

    oraext:parseXML(concat('

        ','1','
        ',bpmn:getDataObject('descTest1'),'
        ',bpmn:getDataObject('resultTest1'),'

        ','2','
        ',bpmn:getDataObject('descTest2'),'
        ',bpmn:getDataObject('resultTest2'),'

    '))

    When I 'bpmn:getDataObject('...')', you should rather to insert your data object variables four your process chain.

    Hope this helps,
    Dan
