Problem installing Acrobat Pro XI

I uninstalled Acrobat Pro XI by mistake, but did not use the uninstall program (I know it was stupid) and I can not find the remains of it on my iMAC. However, said CC Acrobat XI is up-to-date and does not allow me to download a new copy. Can any ideas on how I fix?

  • How to re-install Acrobat Pro XI?

I paid and installed Acrobat Pro (CC) on my Dell laptop (Win 7-64).  I uninstalled Acrobat while

find the source of a computer problem.  Adobe has countered successfully my efforts to re - install Acrobat Pro XI.

If someone could tell me what I should do to get Acrobat back on my computer, I would be very grateful.  It's extremely frustrating.

    My relocation problem is solved!

The information from the following link provided the solution.

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/creative-cloud/KB/AAM-lists-removed-apps-date.html

The title of the page, "CC Office lists applications as"up-to-date"not installed", is a good description of my problem.  In my case, Adobe Acrobat Pro XI was listed as "up-to-date", even after I had uninstalled.  Thus, CC Office wouldn't give me the ability to re - install.

This help page for Adobe gives 4 solutions.  I went through all 4, but my problem was not solved until I ran the #4 Solution - which is to remove all traces of creative cloud Adobe using the 'Adobe_Creative_Cloud_Cleaner_Tool' (see link below).  You can probably go straight to #4, but I didn't try that.

After I applied the CC cleaning tool, I have re-installed CC Desktop App, and I could then reinstall Acrobat Pro, as well as other CC applications.

    I hope this helps.

Here is the link to the CC cleaning tool (this link is also on the above mentioned help page):

    Please can someone help.

    See you soon

    Hi Saviomfx,

It is a known issue with Acrobat XI

Issue: Mac OS only. The launch, a blank screen of the EULA is displayed, that cannot be accepted and Acrobat does not run. This problem can appear if you have any of the installed products of CCM or Creative Suite and you tried to install Acrobat XI from a different source.

Solution: Launch any other product which is part of the CCM or Creative suite. Then, turn it off by choosing Help > deactivate. Quit the application. Then start Acrobat and accept the EULA. Then, for CCM subscription product, launch it and choose the license of this software to reactivate the product of the CCM. If a CS app, launch it and turn it back on.

    Please visit: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/known-issues-acrobat-xi-reader.html

    Or you can try this:

Go to Applications-> Utilities-> Adobe Installers-> Adobe Acrobat X-> remove Acrobat X using the application uninstaller.

Relaunch Acrobat XI and try to accept the EULA.

  • Error 1935 when installing Acrobat Pro XI

Hello. I get the following error when trying to install Acrobat Pro XI:

    Adobe Acrobat Pro XI (11.0.17)

Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component

    {9718BF1D-6A9F-3406-A992-630F7EF2F164}

    HRESULT: 0 X 80070308

This happens within our company on all machines. Initially, I tried with 11.0.16 and now with the latest patch. It worked for years until the beginning of this week and now he failed at least 50 machines. Also, on some machines I've known, worked previously, was installed a version of Acrobat Pro (updated 13) suddenly is no longer. My guess is Symantec (they broke Firefox over the weekend) or a patch from Microsoft, although no patches were released over the weekend in our environment. Everyone knows this?

Figured it out! There is a MS update stuck there. I followed the advice here and it has cleared up.

I tried to reinstall the original Visual C++ files and they with a similar error. In the text search, I came across the site I linked above.

Thank you very much for the help.

  • How to install Acrobat Pro DC (perpetual license) upgrade to Acrobat Standard DC (perpetual license)?

In may 2016, I bought and installed Acrobat Standard DC (perpetual license, v. 2015.006.30201) available for download from Dell's digital delivery, running on Windows 10.  At that time there I wasn't sure that I would need Acrobat Pro DC, but as a precaution, I checked with Ivan Adobe sales on 13/05/16 what Acrobat Pro DC Upgrade (perpetual license) would be upgraded Acrobat Standard DC (perpetual license).

In late August I bought Acrobat Pro DC Upgrade (perpetual license) as a package of DVD (part No. 65259139). Upon receipt of the package, I noticed the upgrade label, said that she would only install for users licensed of Acrobat Standard or Pro (version X.x or XI.x).  Before you open the package, 31/08/16 I still checked with Kelly (x 9036) and his supervisor in the field of after-sales service of Adobe products than the part above no. 65259139 will recognise and upgrade of Acrobat Standard DC (perpetual license) in Acrobat Pro DC (perpetual license).

Today, I opened the package and tried to install the upgrade, without success.  The Installer opens in mode configuration DC (Classic) Adobe Acrobat - Acrobat Pro DC - not to mention and it only offers the following program Maintenance options: modify, repair, or remove.  Change the option runs but leaves the existing DC to Standard of Acrobat (perpetual license) unchanged.  The repair option requires the addition of the Acrobat Standard DC (perpetual license) Setup disk.  I have the 24-digit serial number but no disc, since Acrobat Standard DC (perpetual license) has been downloaded.  I have not tried the Remove option, because there is no indication that the program will then install Acrobat Pro DC (perpetual license).

Please let me know the correct way, tested to install the upgrade in these circumstances.

This is discussed in detail over and fully answered in another thread: https://forums.adobe.com/message/9009206#9009206.

  • Impossible to install Acrobat Pro XI on Mac

Hello, I've recently upgraded from Acrobat Pro 9 to XI (Mac version) and failed to install.

When I first installed Acrobat Pro version 9, I was running an earlier version of Mac OS X (I think it's Snow Leopard), but since then have updated my OS periodically and now spin El Capitan 10.11.5. Recently, I bought a license for Acrobat Pro XI and been affected by errors. Before attempting installation, I uninstalled my machine using the uninstall program Adobe version 9.

After the first failure, I found I was able to launch Acrobat Pro, but not all the features worked.

I have ran the Adobe Unistaller, rebooted, tried installing again, had the same fault message and once again found I could launch Acrobat Pro, but did not have all the features

Yet once, I ran Adobe Unistaller, rebooted, this time in the recovery Partition where I ran disk utility and performed first aid on Macintosh HD, as well as on the physical disk. I can't say that that first aid is no. In earlier versions of Mac OS X, disk utility included functions such as the Partition of repair, repair disk permissions, etc., but now all these functions are missing and replaced with a single function called first aid.

After that, I rebooted into OS X, again ran the installer, once again got an installation message failed.

What can I do now? Is there that a saved Setup log file somewhere that I can read and publish? Is there any other information that I can provide to shoot evil?

My computer is a MacBook Pro 13 "mid-2009 with 8 GB of RAM.

    Hi davidb66287241,

I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

You can try to install Acrobat using root user, visit this user account activation link root Mac: activation and using the user 'root' on OS X - Apple support

Also, try to delete this file: /Library/Preferences/com.adobe.PDFAdminSettings.plist and try to install Acrobat XI as a root user.

    Let me know the results.

    Thank you

    Shivam
