  • I can't install Adobe Reader 10.1.04 on my Windows Vista computer

I was unable to install Adobe Reader on my laptop Toshiba 32-bit of Windows Vista (SP1) and it would be really grateful for the help.

Here is the error message I get:

Error 1402. Could not open key: UNKNOWN\.api\AcroExch.Plugin\ShellNew. Check that you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support team.

Here is a brief history of what I tried already:

    # 1 AdbeRdr1014_en_US.exe downloaded as stand-alone file several times from different servers and sites.

    # 2 uninstalled Adobe Reader 9.0

    # 3 Ran AdbeArCleaner.exe several times to remove ANY version of Acrobat or Reader perious.

    # 4 open each of my 4 browsers, the latest version of IE, Opera, Firefox and Chrome, looked for Plugins or Add Ons and deleted ALL associated Adobe apps except Flash.

    # 5 Open Control Panel, programs, versions searched and deleted ALL of Acro fast player or quick recorder.

    # 6 Ran Norton Utilities Registry Clean several times.

    # 7 when you try to install the 10.1.04 drive I had ALREADY received this error message:

Error 1402.Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\AcroExch.Document\Shell\Open\Command. Check that you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support team.

However, after using the cleaning of Adobe tool, I had is no longer this error.

    # 8 I also disabled my A - V program over all attempts to install Kaspersky PURE 2.0.

The reason why I wanted to update to Adobe Reader 10 was that Kaspersky did a vulnerability check indicating:

    "Adobe Reader/Acrobat multiple vulnerabilities.

    See: http://www.SecureList.com/en/advisories/47133/?function=advisories & VN = 47133

Solution has been updated to version 10.1.2 (or higher).

Now, I can't open it. PDF files. I can't find the so-called Plugin that causes the installation to stop. The installation of the 10.1.04 reader happens to approximately 96% complete, then fails and restores.

    # 9 is there an easy solution, such as a tool that autyomatically will remove any corresponding registry key, or apply the correct administrative attributes for the registry keys? If this is not the case, can you please talk me through this step by step. I never been so confused or frustrated by an upgrade of the software, what I thought would be a simple task.

THANKS in advance for your help is very appreciated.

    See you soon,.

    These complex issues frequently occur?

No, not with Adobe Reader.   In fact, the Acrobat cleaning tool should have taken care of that.  But it's a question that I see from time to time in the forum of Flash Player.  Unfortunately this installer doesn't tell us what key is the origin of the problem.

    SubInACL:

    • Download and install from this link http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=23510 (the download page doesn't mention Vista, I installed it on Windows 7, so Vista shouldn't be a problem)
    • Download the attached file reset_ar10.bat and unzip it in the same folder as SubInACL is installed ('C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools' or ' C:\Program Files (x 86) \...) If you are on a 64-bit system)
    • Run the file to extract from reset_ar10.bat (I just noticed that there are not run as administrator from the context menu)

I will attach the reset_ar10.bat file, I get errors during the test.  I'll do another post when it's ready.

  • Cannot install Adobe Reader DC for the start of Windows 10 menu icon.

I tried to remove the icon through the usual process of clip right mouse, then select "detach from the beginning.

When I try to it, all I get is a pop-up stating "pin to start."  Any suggestions?

I initially installed the Adobe Pro DC edition as a trial and then uninstalled.  All other components have been uninstalled

with the exception of the icon above.

  • Problem installing adobe reader software

I'm trying to install a copy of adobe reader 9.3 software, that I downloaded from the adobe Web site, on a computer running windows xp with service pack 3 installed, but it fails and gives me an error that says:

"AdbeRdr930_en_US.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience ".

Check the error information gives me:

    "AppName: adberdr930_en_us.exe AppVer: 2.0.0.41 ModName: adberdr930_en_us.exe ModVer: 2.0.0.41 Offset: 000525c 2.

And by looking at the error in the application log that I see:

"Adberdr930_en_us.exe failed application, version 2.0.0.41, failed module adberdr930_en_us.exe, version 2.0.0.41, fault 0x000525c2 address."

I tried to get these error messages, I tried to download and install an earlier version (adobe reader 8), and I believe that I am currently with my windows updates, I ran it several times yesterday, but no luck so far.

If anyone has any help or suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Download Adobe Reader 11.0.04 is incapatible with Windows 7 Professional (64 bit).  When you start the program, it opens about 2-3 seconds, and then exits.  Can't access change to the tab or other tabs to change the settings.  already tried with and without installed and uninstalled antivirus protection is in conflict with Windows 7.

also tried the docker capatibility with no luck.

Any ideas on how to fix?

    Hello

It seems that you have problems with the launch of the drive. What version did you earlier?

Please try update drive to the last 11.0.05.

Do you have the NVIDIA driver on your machine? In the affirmative, please try to upgrade to the latest via the link below

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/update-drivers-recommended-links#update-drivers - recommended links = windows-7

If this is not the case, then please try this addition of this registry

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\11.0\Privileged]

    "bProtectedMode" = DWORD: 00000000

It will disable the protected mode and then try to launch player

  • Problem installing flash player 11.0.1.152 with Windows Vista 64-Bit

    Hello

I can't get Flash Player to install on my computer with Windows Vista 64-Bit - is not serious if I try with Firefox, Opera or IE (usually, I use Firefox).

The download is not a problem, but when I run the .exe downloaded, the file disappears from my download folder and nothing happens - not to mention that the launch of a process called install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih_3.exe, which does nothing. The usual installation popup never appears. After that I can not try to start the installation again, until the deactivation of the process via the Task Manager ("that one instance of this application can run"). No matter if I try the download and installation with or without 'McAffe security more' btw - same result.

I have never had such a problem before - Flash Player 10.3 has been and no problem to install and use.

I tried all the measures proposed in the troubleshooting section on the official website, including measures for advanced troubleshooting (uninstall the old version, run as administrator, disable the software firewall, disable antivirus, etc.). Nothing helps.

I have never had these problems with my laptop running Windows 7 - just my desktop computer with Vista 64-bit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Problem installing Adobe Reader

Running Windows 7 and uninstalled the drive using Windows program uninstall.  When I try to reinstall v 10 or 11, I get an error telling me that the item already exists.

It is a known issue with an August Microsoft security update: KB2918614.  My suggestion

    1. create a System Restore Point
    2. Uninstall KB2918614
    3. hide, it will not take place again

You should be able to install all programs now.

Make sure you download the installation files Adobe Reader first.

Close all programs including web browsers as Adobe Reader adds extensions for your favorite web browser.

You must also run the System File Checker utility and temporarily disable your anti-virus utility:

    Click Start
Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD
    Click on "Run as Administrator"
At the command prompt, type: sfc/scannow

This will check for any breach of integrity

    Restart your system

If the program persists, try to download the full Setup files:
