Problem installing Bootcamp on MBP late 2011

Hello

I have a model of Macbook Pro late 2011 and I wanted to install Windows 8.1. I downloaded the ISO file and installed the file on a flash drive and downloaded the drivers from Microsoft support as well. Boot camp successfully installed the ISO and the files on the flash drive and partitioned my disk and initialized in the flash drive (with success), entered my activation code. However, when it came time to choose my boot camp partition, it repeatedly gives me the error "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is a MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed on GPT disks. "I also received error messages about it needing to be in format NTFS, but I fixed this problem. I followed other tutorials and guides for the problems of which has involved the partition exFAT and reformatting of the flash player install to put in shape, but it gave me no result. The reason why I chose to burn a key USB and not a DVD is because my computers internal DVD drive seems to be broken. I hope that the hotfix that is required to install windows does not require me replace the internal SuperDrive. Help, please.

Installation of boot EFI (non - MBR) on a Mac 2011 is problematic and many driver issues ensue. You can delete the MBR using GPT Fdisk, but boot EFI, which is allowed on the GPT disk, will cause more pain later.

  • Update card logic 17-inch MBP (late 2011)

    Hello world

I thought pass my MBP 17 inches at the highest setting.

Already installed 2133 mhz HyperX 16 GB RAM and Samsung SSD 850PRO

Now I intend to change a card logic than with Core i7 at 2.5 GHz with 8 MB L3.

    Currently I have 2.4 Ci7 GHz with 6 MB.

Where can I find a, and will be, I have better performance?

Any suggestions on how I can make my old toy faster?

    See you soon!

You have made a mistake with the highest frequency of RAM.  The MBP will support 1600 MHz RAM by OWC but no. MBP today is being RAM with RAM at that speed.  If it runs at all, it will be clocked down.

On the advice of logic, look at the iFixit.com and Powerbookmedic.com websites.  EBay is another possibility.

I'm probably one of the very few people who has two end 2011 17 "Mbps, with the 2.5 GHz processor and 2.4 GHz processor.  Both have 16 GB of RAM installed and both have Crucial SSD from TB 1 installed.  We got Mountain Lion OSX another has El Capitan.  From a practical point of view, I see no difference in performance between the two.  The 4 respective base reference is 10,972 vs 10 350.

If I had a 17" late 2011 MBP with a properly functioning 2.4 GHz CPU, I would not bother to change to the faster CPU for a mere (and mostly theoretical) 5% performance increase.
    Ciao.
  • Problems installing Bootcamp & Win7

I've been dealing with compatibility issues with my recently purchased Windows 7 Home Premium and Bootcamp.

I know that more will be a bit heavy to read, but please bare with me, I'm really starting to lose hair in this

Bootcamp does not recognize the file .iso 64-bit image, although it is.

I downloaded a different 64-bit .iso from softpediaand managed to burn on a USB drive after that I added my mac into Bootcamp info.plist file model.
I did it according to the instructions on falkas and slamno7 of this thread: . http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/bootcamp-win-7-iso-with-both-64bit-and-32bit 1561855 /

After having burned the .iso, I try to continue to install Win7 I'm prompted with this instead: http://i.imgur.com/BPxchFq.png

Sorry for my OSX in Finnish, but she said something along the lines of:

    "Not found install disc. .

Insert the disc to install Windows to tray and wait until it is recognized. »

For this reason, I can't actually make the partition. I tried to make the partition manually with the utility tool disk, but after Bootcamp says that I must cancel the score, after which I should do once again using BC, but of course, I can't because this same error again.

I also tried to boot in USB Wininstall disk after doing the manual partition, but it stops after the first line to say a word on a missing bootmgr (if it is relevant, I can check again down the error Word for Word)

I'm under iMac 27 "end 2013 with the Mavericks, and I bought the lizengo.fi Win7 (site also. co.uk and .de mirrors)

    Halp Plox

I got a keycode for Windows 7 my friend, with whom I have downloaded an .iso full Microsoft home page (my own code didn't work for some reason any). And with the new image .iso file, everything went as it should.

Well, I had to play with the Bootcamp drivers and start all over again on the first time because Windows could not start after installation, but the second time around everything went like it's supposed to. Solved the problem of starting with this: [urgent] get 'appleSSD.sys' error when installing windows 7 via bootcamp

  • MBP Late 2011 not too hot

I got a MBP since its release at the end of 2011, and also installed smcFanControl and using a portable fan under it (without plugin in there, so there is still more hot, I have to connect via a usb power cable directly), every time that I watch videos or play a game on it, it goes really hot, as up to 85 ° c , depending on how long I'm doing it for.

I have not tried swapping to a new fan, but I clean up really well a few times, it gets better after that I have remove dust, but not much difference.

Any ideas on what to do?

    TKS in advance

  • Problem installing module time real LabVIEW 2011 SP1

Hi, I'm new here. I have a problem when I tried to install LabVIEW Real - Time 2011 SP1. Whenever the part of initialization, this message appears: "NEITHER Labview 2011 SP1 32-nit must be installed before installing the OR labview 2011 SP1 real-time Module.» I'm sure that I've already installed Labview 2011 32-bit SP1 and it works well. I use a Windows7 OS and also have Labview 2010 and an older version of Labview 2010 RT module installed. I didn't remove the old version of the software, and I don't know if it is related to this problem.

  • MacBook Pro Late 2011 Lion slow after new mem SSD and 16G

I'm under Lion (10.7.5) on a MBP late 2011. Replaced the original 750 GB HDD with a 1 to Samsung SSD 850 EVO and store Crucial 2x8G; to replace the battery with one of Lizone. (Restore own Internet) installation of Lion on the SSD in an external enclosure, software update, then exchanged the SSD for the migration of Bay assistant and used internal drive with the old HARD drive in the external box. OnyX to clear the caches and other cleanup. Basic response (keystrokes, menus, scrolling, select the element and application launch and quit smoking) is stutteringly slow and delay - but sometimes, after a reboot, all right (with dynamic performance, I expected to the SSD upgrade) for awhile. I have disabled Spotlight and invoke TM only manually.

I've ran out of ideas and would appreciate advice on what could be causing the slow response! Thank you.

Installed windows 10 32 bit on MBP early 2011. Bootcamp software support 4.0 installs fine.

And then upgraded to windows 10 64-bit on the MBP even. But bootcamp software installs ok at first, then gets stuck in the audio driver installation.

Can someone suggest me the right version of the bootcamp software please?

  • After replace new Board for MBP early 2011, if GPU problem will return again in the future?

I have a MBP early 2011 with the new logicboard on it, as the replacement program (extension program of repairs to MBP to cause GPU) recently applied a few months ago.

(my only original had GPU identical to everyone down to complain)

    My question is;

is new logic board safe for heavy use? What are the differences between the original logicboard with a new, or it's just a new so it's average after use of a few years, it will be back again with the same question...

    any idea for this?

Only Apple knows that information, but normally puts Apple redesigned parts for every Mac that are part of an alternative program to avoid the same problem in the future. However, we cannot say that for sure, but it shouldn't stop you using your Mac as usual.

  • integrated graphics disabled as expected in bootcamp on MBP

I upgraded my macbook pro (early 2011) to a configuration dual ssd.

Note: I ran bootcamp 10 without problem before windows (upgrade of windows install bootcamp 7)

I had a really hard time, but finally managed to do a CLEAN windows 10 USB install (! for the lack of optical drive - I used a mac mini to create the image from bootcamp on my macbook pro model does not support that... or windows 10 in general, but as I said he did run without flaws).

have osx on a single disk (no problem there), 10 of the other windows.

    ... almost:

It seems the 'forgotten' system to disable/hide built-in graphic chipset intel, he now appears with the radeon dedicated in Device Manager.

I would actually need to use the radeon, but its driver is constantly stopped with error code 43, I suspect because the integrated gpu intrudes. I based this proposal on the fact I tried several versions of the ati/amd drivers - which many weren't in my original bootcamp w10 installation.

so, how could I get my mbp to a State where the chipset intel integrated is gone/forgotten/hidden as it should be? (I tried the obvious: disable/uninstall the device in Device Manager, but it slips immediately after a reboot), my best guess is I would need push the uefi/bios emulation, but I unsusre how to do this.

all the ideas are getting desperate, welcome, thanks in advance!

I have an iMac, it uses the same components are MacBook really

chipset intel always shown in windows

Intel "gpu" is built into the northbridge of chipset intel do not know if it can ever be really off

  • Impossible to install Bootcamp

I try to install Bootcamp on my iMac 27 "(mid 2011) running El Capitan v. 10.11.5, as my operating system. I bought a copy of Windows 10 Home (on a USB key). I downloaded the iso of Windows 10 corresponding on the microsoft Web site. Then I burned a copy of the program to a DVD Double layer 8.5 GB DVD + R DL (Sony).

Now, I had the DVD to my installer of Bootcamp and instered in the Superdrive drive and check both boxes to download the latest drivers and install Windows. Download additional drivers exploded without any problems however, when it came to the installation of Windows 10, I get a message saying that it couldn't find the installation disc.

I thought that maybe my "superdrive" did not work as I have not been able to read ANY disc with this drive superdrive. .... I took the computer to the dealer who sold me the computer and after a few days, they returned it saying that they couldn't find anything wrong with the drive. I get the computer home and NADA. I so restart the computer to the dealer and tell them I want that they replace the "superdrive" even if I have to pay for it. This time they tell me that they have to send it to Apple and it will take two weeks. Two weeks later I won't count it with a message saying that they cannot always find something wrong and not replace the disc. So here I am back home with my computer and cannot install Bootcamp.

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

Windows 10 is not supported by Apple on iMac mid-2011.  See the list of devices supported in a use 10 Windows on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support.  This is probably the reason why BCA pretended that not finding the drive.

You can use 8.1 Windows on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple support on iMac mid-2011, then use a free update to win 10 against MS.

  • 8 GB + 2 GB Macbook Pro late 2011 - Possible?

    Hey,.

I bought a bar of 8 GB 1333 Mhz of Crucial to add to my Macbook Pro 13 ", end 2011, which currently has 4 GB. Only after I ordered it, I realized that the 4 GB came in 2 + 2GB sticks. A rookie mistake, I know.

My question is this: is it possible to get the 8 GB in a RAM slot and keep the 2 GB in the other, for a total of 10 GB? Or is it better to let the one with 8 GB?

I know that Apple in its recommendations stipulates that the maximum is 4 + 4GB, but Crucial and many other users have used up to 16 GB in such a MBP without problems and optimize performance. Can someone provide feedback on which would be the best option?

    Thank you
    Vasco

Install it.  It will work and be beneficial.  That said, it is not as effective as a set of RAM of capacity equal.  Yield loss will be 10%-15%.

When the bank account permits, order another 8 GB module and then install it for a pair of 16 GB.  That's what I have in my 2011 Mbps.

    Ciao.

Addendum: I should make it obvious that you should also keep a module of 2 GB for a total of 10 GB of RAM.

  • No sound after installing windows 10 MBP 2012

    Hello world

    Here's what I did.

I have MBP 2012 with El Capitan on it.

I installed windows on this 10. Here are the steps I followed.

    1. Plist file modified to allow the creation of iso windows 10 on USB for my MBP (PreUSBBoot USBBoot and 2 other usual changes)
    2. ISO file 10 Windows installed
    3. Make a key USB bootable but Bootcamp with drivers
    4. Use disk utility to partition the drive for windows (reason - because it gives error while installing windows, windows MBR EFI only on device TPG error)
    5. Restarted my MBP used and selected EFI boot option key (as when installing windows in Bootcamp, it gave an error saying no device found startup)
    6. Installed Windows and driver loaded by installing bootcamp
    7. Everything works fine but the sound

    Tried, but failed

    1. Clean install of windows if partition bootcamp (error - no found boot device)
    2. Boot EFI (error - error EFI GPT MBR, windows can be installed only on TPG error)
    3. Tried the update of drivers for the sound. However, did not

Please help me with the steps to solve this problem. In addition, windows is not activated is there any way through which I can still get windows 10 free.

Change the Info.plist file is incorrect. Your MBP 2012 takes in charge the two, USB and DVD facilities. Please use BCA and remove the current installation. Installation of Windows using boot EFI on a preUEFI machine will cause more problems.

  • Double disc SSD/HDD on MacBook Pro late 2011

So I finally finished putting my double drive on my MacBook Pro late 2011. I ended up putting the SSD where the optical drive has been, since research told me that the end 2011 MBP is the lucky model with an optical drive that supports Sata III. If anyone can give me a reason to spend my SSD and HDD, please let me know.

Anyway, now I ask to help with setting up my macbook pro to use two disks. I copied everything on the SSD and the SSD drive is set to start my computer to the top. I can already tell that this thing is so much faster now. However, I basically just have two exact copies of my all my stuff on the two disks. How can I configure my computer to know which drive to use? I want a few things to use my HARD drive and other things to use my SDD, not all at once. Where are these settings and how to do?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi Jdsr4c:

    I have a Macbook Pro 2011 start.

I installed a 500 GB Samsung 850 EVO instead of HD.

I moved the HD to the optical Bay.

Optical Bay has 3 Gigabit speed. HD space has a 6 Gigabit speed.

See the screenshots of my mac.

The old HD, I would reformat is not bootable.

I use my old HD for storage of movies, etc.

So for example, I'll download a movie and then move it to my old hard drive. I'll put it in a directory named for example movies.

On the SSD, I'll do an 'Alias' pointing to the movies on the old HD directory (on windows, it would be a shortcut).

In any case, hope this helps.

  • Problem installing FM10

I'm trying to decide between Framemaker 8 upgrade to 10 FM or migration to Madcap Flare. I need to produce print and web, and most of the documents are structured. I have a lot of files inherited from FM.

I downloaded and installed Flare without problems, but find that there no runin paragraph styles and some of the FM features that allow styles to cross the columns.

, I tried to install FM but got error messages. I downloaded the Adobe installer diagnostic tool and it says there are programs in conflict the FM facility but was not specific on what they were. Basically, I went in the same way and had the same problems, as mentioned in a similar post about problems installing Robohelp:http://forums.adobe.com/message/3422315

Unlike the Madcap Protocol, Adobe support is quite difficult to communicate with, and it took literally days to solve the problems with the other adobe programs.

I use a 2011 Macbook Pro using Bootcamp Win 7 64 bit home version. Also, I installed parallels and can operate FM 8 on a system. Acrobat X Pro is installed.
