problem loading data from oracle table excel table / oracle

Hi all

I'm working on the form of data transformation 2 different sources to a target table only oracle.
My first source - excel sheet.
2nd source - oracle table.

Creation of data servers, dsn(for excel), reversing everything done very well.
When I try to display the data there is a problem.

EXCEL - serial number column is displayed as 1.0,2.0,.3.0 etc. need 1,2,3,4,5...
Oracle tables-> after that reverse it does not display the data types for the selected columns.

I am not able to create a join and run.
Help, please.

Thank you
Chaitanya.

Hello

Just a thought, why not u cast TO_NUMBER to the interface mapping for the serial number column?

Thank you
Guru

    Hello

You say that you are loading, but you chose the KM for the loading of metadata?
If you load metadata then you must provide a rules file, if you are loading and then choose the KM - IKM SQL for Hyperion Essbase (DATA)

    Ok?

    See you soon

And this solution, you are prompted by the solution of Tubby:

    with t as (
               select id,
row_number() over(partition by id order by rownum) rn,
                       column_value city_1,
lead(column_value) over(partition by id order by rownum) city_2
                 from seven_cities,
                       table(sys.OdciVarchar2List(city_1,city_2,city_3,city_4,city_5,city_6,city_7))
                 where column_value is not null
              )
    select id,
            city_1,
            city_2
      from t

      2 Hyderabad Delhi
      3 London
      4 Sydeny Melbourne

    SQL>

And if there is a concern on the use of the items in the collection without papers are read in the order behaviour, just create object & nested table types:

    create or replace
      type num_str_obj
        as object(
                  n number,
                  s varchar2(4000)
                 )
    /
    create or replace
      type num_str_list
        as table of num_str_obj
    /

    Now:

    with t as (
               select id,
row_number() over(partition by id order by n) rn,
                       s city_1,
                       lead(s) over(partition by id order by n) city_2
                 from seven_cities,
                       table(
                             num_str_list(num_str_obj(1,city_1),

  • Load data from one table into another table of 2 different schemes

    Hello

We have a requirement to insert data into a table in a schema of a table that is in other schemas in ODI.

We are able to do so by creating interfaces and mappings. But we now expect to do using SQL instead of ODI interfaces.

Is it possible to do this using the SQL statements we have source and target data sources defined in ODI.

should be like "Insert into src.table select * from tar.table'"

    Thank you...

    Hello

If you try to load a db to another db using sql (sql free hand) instead of interfaces instructions.

It is possible using procedures odi too.

    1. Select the project (designer navigator) odi mode

    2. create the new procedure. Then add the command.

in this command on the source command on the tabs of the target.

Enter the sql statements. See the screenshots below...

I think this will help for you,

    Thank you best regards &,.

  • How to load data from different tables, but record to another table?

    Hi all

I use the apex and I understand how it updates and saves the files normally.

In this case, I would need to load from a table, but save on another Board on the button "submit".

I am aware that it would be easy as forms where I could do a manual insert process. im making in tabular form and I don't really know how to handle this process.

Suppose that I am loading a set of questionnaires in the form of tables and have a yes / no selection.

If the questions would come from table A and I need to save it in table B.

in this case that I can't put just the value default by the tabular row for questions coz it would be dynamic and this example is on a small scale. I would need to load the table A and record in table B.

could someone guide me on this operation or provide tutorials any?

    Maybe that's what you're after.

    (1) create region report using SQL like this:

    Select apex_item.hidden(1,rownum).

    apex_item.display_and_save(2,question_column) in Question,

    apex_item. Text(3,,4,4) as answer

    from table_a

    apex_item documentation of package found:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E37097_01/doc/doc.42/e35127/apex_item.htm

The pidx (first number) in each apex_item parameter is used to identify this item in the same row of the report' / tabular form.

    (2) create a submit in procedure a bit like that.

    Start

because I 1.apex_application.g_f01.count loop - identifies the "apex_item.hidden(1,rownum)" at the top and gets a count of how many times it occurs

    Insert into table_b (question, answer)

    values (apex_application.g_f02 (i), apex_application.g_f03 (i));

    end loop;

    end;

    Any help will be appreciated.

    I thank you,
    Shrinivas

Hi gisele, you can follow below KMs

    1 LKM SQL for SQL

    2 CKM ORACLE

3 IKM SQL Incremntal update (Insert and update) / IKM SQL command APpend (insert only)

    It will be useful.

    Thank you

  • ODI error when loading data from Oracle to Essbase

Hello and happy new year to everyone!

I can't load some data from an Oracle table to an Essbase database. The Oracle table has all the members of the Essbase database, columns, and in addition, it has a column for data.

I use the IKM SQL for Hyperion Essbase (DATA) as IKM and I can't choose a LKM in the dropdown, but I imported the LKM SQL to SQL.

    I'll wait for any help.

    Thank you!

First of all, I would highly recommend the upgrade because there were a few bugs with the adapters of Hyperion.
If you set MAXIMUM_ERRORS_ALLOWED to 0 it will be infinite, so it will not stop because of rejected records.

Once you assign to LOG_ENABLED and LOG_ERRORS Yes
then you LOG_FILENAME together and ERROR_LOG_FILENAME, put them in a known example location c:\temp on windows.

    Ok?

    See you soon

  • Loading data from multiple tables in essbase using ODI

    Hello

We have a scenario where the data comes from more than one table. I would like to know how ODI will load the data for the right combination of members

    Hello

Consider each data table has a field that corresponds to the other table. You can simply drag the source interface data warehouses and create a join between the tables.

  • Problem loading data from WET cd files

I'll try to make a long story short!  Had to reset my laptop to factory settings.  I used Windows Easy Transfer to save the data on a cd.  I have never had to do that before and was not aware that you had the possibility to exclude certain files, such as system.  WET questioned for a fourth disc to continue, I realized that I must be the copyall. Only wanted personal files, so I cancelled the initial transfer on the third disc.  When I try to reload, using WET, naturally she wants the fourth disc, which I did not!  Is there another way for me to recover data?  There are more than 2 years ' worth of pictures, I'd really rather not lose, locked in these CDs!

    Thanks for any help!

Check the C:\Users and see if there are user names that you did not add on the new computer - data may be there.

If you know the name of a file of data transferred, we can do a thorough search for her and if we believe that he we will probably find others. To search for the folder C: whole disk in Vista go to start / search and type in ' or '. As you type, you'll see two hyperlinks appear just above where you type and we'll search everywhere.  A click on it.  Who will do a fast indexed search and bring up a dialog box.  Click on advanced search.  Click the drop-down location and find the C: drive and click on it. Check the box "include not indexed, hidden and system files (might be slow).»  Then click on search.  You will now search your entire hard drive to the specified file.  And Yes, this isn't a very effective way to search the entire disk for a file but it is how it is done in Vista.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Loading data from table to file odi.

I need to load the data from the table to file without using the interface in odi.  How to do it.

    Hello

using tool OdiSqlUnload, it loads the table directly.

I tried the db oracle table to the file without using interfaces. I used with procedures.

to achieve this, must create the procedure in odi. Select the control on the target technology: oditool.

    «OdiSqlUnload "-FILE = data procedure.txt D:\TEXT\Test" "-DRIVER = oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver" «-URL=jdbc:oracle:thin:@192.0.0.0:1521:odiuser ' '-USER = odiuser ""-PASS = hpfHiT7Ql0Hd79KUseSWYAVIA ""-FILE_FORMAT = VARIABLE ""-FIELD_SEP =, ""-ROW_SEP = \r\n ""-DATE_FORMAT = YYYY/MM/DD hh: mm: ""-CHARSET_ENCODING = ISO8859_1 "" "-XML_CHARSET_ENCODING = ISO-8859-1"»

    Select * from odiuser. DWT_SECTOR.

I think this will help for you.

    Thnaks in advance,

    A.Kavya.

  • Loading data from SQL to Essbase table

    Hello

I'm loading data from SQL to Essbase table by using a rules file. Number of rows in the source table is 7 million. I use the SUNOPSIS MEMORY ENGINE as area transit, LKM SQL for SQL and SQL IKM for Hyperion Essbase (DATA).

    Question:

1 can I not use any other LKM as MSSQL for MSSQL (PCBS) to load data to the staging instead of LKM SQL for SQL? What I have to change the transit area then? Loading data using LKM SQL for SQL seems quite slow.

2 it is mandatory to use LKM SQL for SQL, can someone please tell me what I can change to make this quick support parameters?

    3. is it compulsory to use the SUNOPSIS MEMORY engine loading data from SQL server to Essbase?

    Thank you...

    (1) Yes, I highly recommend watching using a KM which uses native as database technology these will usually be more efficient than the generic (like LKM SQL for SQL) KM especially when large volumes of data are involved. Your staging will change depends on where you organize data for example if you are using a SQL server specific KM as - MSSQL for MSSQL (PCBS) - you must have a lay-by available on a MSSQL database and have access to the utility of PCBS.

    (2) it is not mandatory to use this KM you can use a KMs supported by your database technology

    (3) it is absolutely not obligatory to use the SUNOPSIS MEMORY engine. This should only be used when you have relatively small amounts of data, as well as all the processes in memory, or in the case where you have no other relational technology to perform the staging on. However, in your case to use wherever you are processesing these large volumes of data you should be staged on a physical such as SQL Server or Oracle database if they are available.

  • load data from csv file into table

    Hello

I'm working on Oracle 11 g r2 on UNIX platform.

We have an obligation to load data to the table to a flat file, but on one condition, need to make the comparison between filed primary key if the file is available then update another filed and if the recording is not available, we need to insert.

    How can achieve us.

SQLLoader to load the CSV file data into a staging Table.

Then use the MERGE SQL command to the lines of insert/update of table setting for the target table.
