  Unfortunately, I found no information in the planning documentation that supports this recommendation.
  
  As such:
  1 could someone point me in the right direction in terms of finding if it is recommended\supported (or not) for users to access Essbase cubes in a planning application using the Essbase snap?
  2 someone is never experienced problems to access Essbase cubes in a planning application using the MS Excel Essbase snap? If so, what were these issues?
  
  PS: We are on Essbase\Planning v9.3.1.x and will move to the v11.1.2.x wire in the next 6-8 months.

• Security filter problem

  I am facing a problem with the security filter for a single user. We are on the edition of Fusion Hyperion Version 11.1.2.1.

  We had a user created in the SSP with ID: TESTUSER and added in the group. Initially for this user was working fine. Subsequently, we have removed this user of shared services like us is needed more than that.

  I am logged in as administrator of Shared Services and Essbase user.
  
  I create a new user 'Billy' in Shared Services. I have set up this user with 'Server Access' and 'Filter' access on the desired application. In environmental assessments, I created a filter named "test". I view the users table and right-click on my new user 'Billy '. Under the tab "App/Db Access" I break through to the database, I want to filter access. I get there and it shows access 'Filter' However when I expand the node to assign the filter 'test', it is grayed out and not allow me to assign?
  
  I am confused, as if I go in the other direction through "edit filters", it's the same. "Assign users and groups" are grey on this road...
  
  I also see that the "refresh security of Shared Services" is no longer available in 11.1.2.1? What is probably my problem? When I right click 'security' in EA is not one of my choices.

  That's all you need to do. There is No assignment of filters in environmental assessment in Shared Services mode.

  1. the user have access to only some of the all calculation scripts
  2. the user has read/write access to the data of the current year, period
  
  How can get us this done?

  1. If we give 'calculation' access to a user and assign calc scripts to the user. the user sees only his scripts as expected, but he is able to read/write data in the database. Even we have filters assigned to the user. Is this a bug?
  
  2. If we give the 'designer' access to a user, the user is affected by the assigned filter. but he is able to perceive all the script maps calc...

  That's how it worked since I started working on Essbase in version 3. The user will be allowed to lock parts of the database that enables its filter. But can can calculate anything in the database that is in a calculation, to which he has access. It's funny, loading rules comply with the access to the filter.

  I don't think that this problem is related to ASO - filters are filters.

  All you need to do to sort the column filters is to change the filters, then click on the column heading "name of the filter. It sorts fine in the EE 9.3.1.

  Well - I found the answer to my own question.

  It seems - so that you cannot use a password to connect to your computer, that when you want to deal with the security settings, the computer expects that you must have a password. In other words: you can not have a password.

  The thing is, on the simulator of OUR application works fine, but when we try to run on the device, it failed with an error that says something like this: "Application module tries to access the secure API."

  After that many times we tried to remove the code all potentially dangerous and recompile the application. After that it stopped working at all (when you click on the application menu, ABSOLUTELY nothing happens).

  Then, we decided to try to launch PictureScrollFieldDemo, the sample provided by BlackBerry. Also, it did not work

  Finally, the HelloWorldDemo has stopped working or the other...

  During all this madness, we rebooted the unit several times.

  Please help, appreciate any advice.

  Looks like you need another set of files of csi.

  Before installing your new keys delete all files sigtool.csk, sigtool.db and sigtool.set on your PC.  This will clear your previous code signing keys.

  So be sure to install each of the 3 csi files in the mansion even to make sure that all are installed in the same development tool.

  This problem has been resolved in collaboration with support of higher HP for Z book 17 mobile workstation.

  Steps:

  (1) determines that it is not NTFS problem

  (2) using the MSCONFIG the problem has been isolated to a single service

  When this service has been disabled and after reboot, the problem of access to the files is resolved.

  Results: HP had installed software on the HP Z book 17 laptop or mobile workstation which, by default, block communication with external hard drives and flash drives external.

  This HP Client Security software replaces or blocks all right click changes settings become apparent.  It blocks the change of ownership.  It blocks the administrator privileges.  It blocks all is used.
