• Help with a problem of bevel

  Thanks in advance for this issue for me.

  I have an original work created in Photoshop that I am now creating a vectorized version. I need to try and recreate the multiple color divides into a form. Then I need to re - apply the bevel on the edges. and the race around the edge after that, if someone could help with combining the separate colored sections so I can apply a FX to as a piece I would appreciate.

  The problem with bevel & Emboss is that he cannot make a perpendicular bevel (side wall), so I was thinking more in terms of inner shadow.  The blending mode value increase so that the texture of the paper is reflected.

  

• Tecra R10 - problem unusual TFT screen

  My Tecra has developed a problem where a column of pixels seem to shimmer. Pressing the bevel directly under the affected screen area solves the problem but temporarily. Looks like something is loose - but what?

  Some things I noticed/tried:

  -Occurs in different operating systems and even on the splash screen
  N ' appear on the external monitor
  -Is not associated with heat
  -Is happening in different parts of the screen (even if a section is particularly prone to it)
  -Usually affects a section of the screen abot 3-4cm wide and goes from the bottom to the top of the screen

  Depending on your diagnosis, it looks like a display problem.
  It of not a problem of graphics card because the external monitor seems to be OK.

  I don t think that something might be loose (cables, inverter fl, etc.)
  I think that his display, but of course, it's my personal opinion

  Perhaps a technician should take a look at this screen.

  Satellite A105-s4344 stops after EXACTLY 60 seconds. The mobo was removed from bevels and all devices removed unnecessary (DVD, HDD, WiFI etc.). Swapped CPU and RAM with those well known. AC adapter / CC exchanged and battery by the well known. Does the same on the AC or DC inputs only.

  I have not yet flashed the BIOS (at 60 seconds, that would be silly). But, I'm looking to replace or flashing with an EEPROM burner. Currently has V 2.0

  I don't know what heat genration detection using this system, but it is a possible cause if it is one of the later generations (visit http://www.topbits.com/how-to-monitor-cpu-temperature.html if you don't know that I'm referring to).

  Before reballing North and South of the bridge and flashing, I thought that I would get feedback from you folks. Just to cover all bases ;)

  Back to your problem.
  I'm not a technician but this is just my opinion on all of this. The fact is that after your laptop on CPU switch in seconds only reaches very high temperatures. You can turn on your laptop and just enter the BIOS settings and the same should happen again.

  I can't say for sure if it's 100% thermal or not question but what else can be responsible for decommissioning? CPU will be warm in just a few seconds. Significant change structure with temperature change and I can only imagine a contact will be interrupted.

  On this forum, we have had many reports similar as when portable cold starts and works well, but after that little time is off without reason. Maybe I'm wrong, but to me it sounds like heat or deliver bad contacts. Let's see what other people have to say about it.

• Text Beveling & stamping Bug (CC 2015)

  If you use the text tool and bevel and Emboss on this layer, the default angle is 90 degrees.  If you use the angle wheel to change, it stops to apply on the layer that you are on, and I got it impact on another layer.  You have to cancel and start over.  I find it a bit more stable than the use of the wheel angle to type a new angle.

  No need.  Problem exists between keyboard and Chair.

  I was not picking up on the subtle difference between the angle-the command of elevation on bevel, control vs the angle only on the drop shadow.  I was shuffling around the outside edge in control of the bevel, which is actually 0 elevation, which explains why everything went away when I tried to rotate-90 to 90 and then 135, etc..

  Totally operator problems.  Thank you for bringing me to look more closely at it.  Sorry for the false alarm.

  Problem with Illustrator CS6 "Extrude and bevel" effect.

  I have a linked JPEG that looks quite clear-is, and I want to apply a 3d effect make it look like a Panel.
  When you apply the effect, the image becomes blurry and pixelated, as if the quality has decreased.

  This occurs both in the workspace when you save a PDF copy.

  

  I didn't even know that you can do to a placed raster image. Hah!

  in any case it seems to me that illustrator is resampling effects of rasterization of the defining document. which makes a kind of sense, I suppose, since you are turning it into an effect. Turn it up to 300 DPI and see if it's satisfactory.

• Problems of sectors 3D graphic conversion

  Hi all

  I have problems within the Illustrator CC.  I have created a pie chart and found a tutorial on how to convert it to 3D.  Unfortunately whenever I have extrude and bevel it, nothing happens.  I turn no preview on... no change.  Nothing I do converts it into 3D.   It works fine on a copy of the CS6 I have on another computer.  Is there a setting is off or something?

  OK, I think I thought of her!  When I choose the table, I wasn't able to apply 3D... effect or any effect.  They were all grayed out.  The reason is, I've always had the window where I enter the card opening numbers so that it would not allow me to change when the chart is selected.  I hope that this explanation makes sense.

  In order to make some geometric shapes in my work as "3D" look, I use the filter "Internal bevel" and in this case, with a parameter "chisel hard." The result also shows a stripped model, which I don't want. What is the cause and how to fix this?

  My guess is it has something to do with how you created the forms in the first place. Research on the 'before' left aside, it seems that your lines are a little rough and the bands are really just texture added to that extra edge. Are these vector objects? If so, how many points have they?

• 3D extrude and bevel Resize questions

  I am currently using two different versions of Illustrator, one on my laptop and the other on my new desktop computer. I cs5.5 on my laptop and cs6 on my desk and I recently encountered a problem. I created a company on cs5.5 logo and inside use exturde and bevel for the three rings. These resize well on my laptop but when I transferred the work on my desk now if I resize the logo at all, it seems something very strange happens over time and sometimes increases or fail to shrink as the logo is narrowed.

  Any thoughts?

• Pie chart 3D with bevel deteriorates after export from indesign.

  I was the creation of 3D pie charts in illustrator and then placing them in the form of illustrator (.ai) files directly in my indesign document. However after doing so, he has a big loss of quality. The effects of light out as the striated white lines. Sometimes, there are random lines in works of art.

  Pie 3D with no lighting effects and no bevel seem to be doing well.

  To work around this problem, I exported the work as TIFF from illustrator and then placing the TIFF in indesign. It is a heavy workaround, increases the size of the file and also degrades the text under my camembert much.

  If you paste in front, the object will be selected to the dough. Just do not deselect anything.

  Sorry... Adobe went and changed the name... use Pathfinder > unit (it was called 'Add', a version or two), it takes the whole shape and makes a single object/path.

  Base color may be any color but white. Generally, I choose a base color that matches the color of the overal of the subject of the question.

  You could simply try the steps, then undo if you don't like the results.

• problem of rotating 3D with CS5 (Beginner)

  as in Illustrator beginner, this is my first post.

  I created a form of ball 3d by fusion of two rounded rectangles, then using the window > style chart libiries > 3d effect > 3d effect 21 I converterted my form cylindrical 3d with dashes at each end. I must emphasize here that I am not sure whether I've done at this point is a true 3d form.

  My problem is that I want to run the ball so that I can see it from the front as he walks towards you (with a little of the visible side).

  I tried to use effect > 3D > turn option and indeed I can rotate the image in such a way that the rotation stitch guide shows everything I like, but unfortunately the form inside the guide became only a flat surface. I also tried to use the 3d extrude and bevel / spin options, but every time the program crashes when you try to make the work.

  I use Illustrator CS5 64 bit on Windows 7. Any help or nudges in the right direction would be greatly appreciated

• Problem: Blending options change when the merged layers

  Hello.

  I have a problem with the merge options. When I merge two files that both have effects, I get a layer display does not resemble the front. It looks like some options I applied seems to be 30% of what they were. For example, I got a text in a single layer with bevel and applied stamping and another layer (bottom box) with shadow bevel and inner. Now, when I merge these two, I can see looking bevel effect as the opacity is set to 30% for them, the text and the background remaining intact. Effect similarly degraded and not the shadow that was applied as weel looks like changed, but change the bevel cut.

  I noticed that if I turn this layer with the effect bevel in smart object, same thing happened. But even once, gradient stay unmodified.

  The general mix options are by default, normal mode, opacity 100, complete knockout 100, opacity, none, RGB, mix of Cup and the form of transparency is checked on. I didn't change anything there.

  Bevel options are: Pillow emboss, smooth, 100% depth, direction up, size 4, soften 0, angle 90, altitude 30...

  Any help?

  I'm having issues using the bevel and Emboss layer on my text styles. I'm a look almost banding Ford of staircase on the bevel. He does it with any setting. Very sensitive to the chisel hard setting. It looks almost like lines are beveled. This could be the cause?  Thanks for any help

  This could be the cause?

  Normal behaviour - because it's pixel-based, it uses thresholds to determine which "extruded" get semi-transparent pixels and those who do not, finally reflecting these patterns of pixel in the final result. This is a limitation in addition to these effects and any additional operation that introduces some semi-transparent pixels more intensifies the problem (for example, the 3D with filtering layers). Some tools such as RevisionFX' shade/shape additional code to rebuild the edges and do a better job. In any case, based on your image, even that is perhaps not good enough. You simply push IMO too far. What you seem to be really would be much better with the right 3D geometry. If you can't and don't want to spend money on a plug-in, your best bet is to create a demo with the guy as much as possible, apply the bevel, then the scale plug your main computer. When the downward revision, at least a part of the streaks is interpolated, and so the result is smooth...
