Problem of broken links

Can anyone help? Whenever I try to open a link I get the following error message: "error 102 (net: ERR__CONNECTION__REFUSED)": unknown error. "" The Internet site at: _ may be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. "It's so frustrating! PC Tools opportunity & found 100 + mistakes, then hit restore but that solves the problem. What is malware? If so how can I get rid of him? All suggestions welcome.  -Pinder

  • How can I remove a broken link?

You don't really know if there is a better way to put it. Basically my browser is to register a bookmark, but nothing more than his name; no location, nothing (see the url of the image: http://tinypic.com/r/2n1z4x/5).
It cannot be deleted or moved or whatever it is. It isn't really much of a problem more that all bookmarks below don't appear in the menu of the toolbar, but I don't want it if possible.

Because the bookmarks file is actually readable in Notepad ++, I think it's the broken link (given the entry until it is the bookmark located directly above the toolbar):

    {'index': 2, 'title': 'Tags', 'id': 4, 'parent': 1, 'dateAdded': 1357947259755000, 'lastModified': 1357947259755000, 'type': ' text/x-moz-place-container', 'root': "tagsFolder", "children": []}

Assuming that is the question, I would be fine in just this deletion or would do a different course of action?
Would be back up and then restore the question clearly?

    I had the laptop Toshiba Satellite L300 - 214 PSLB8E.

Since a few days, I checked the Web from Toshiba site against Bios upgrade and found a new bios, finally, the link is broken. He points to http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/bios-20090430112041.zip; I checked http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/ and couldn't find any close file of that date (30/04/09).

    Can someone indicate something?

Microsoft page Disaster Response has several broken links, among them:

    • The link to the homepage above (/)

This is the reason why I can't even report this problem.
Could someone redirect me to the appropriate place to report these problems?

    Hello Andrew Pennebaker,.

The home page now works correctly. However, the other two links still do not work.

  • Broken links in the desktop icons

    Hello

I have a problem that arises at a time it is caused by a virus in my computer and eats all my programs. I managed to solve a lot of problems, I now have icons on my desktop, but the links do not work for programs that they guess, nothing happens. I get a message that there is no program associated with the icon.  In order to enter a program to open, I do a right-click on the icon my computer, and then open the program of the left column.

I spoke with a rep at Microsoft on a different issue, and he said he thought that my 'user name' has been altered and that I should change.  I have a new 'user name', but I need to transfer all my programs to the new user to correct broken links.

Any suggestions on how I can fix the link and transfer programs on the new user, as I have no idea? Thank you

Run the troubleshooter from this link and check if it helps to fix the problem:
  • SVG not transferering/broken link

You have the weird problem, my svg files don't load once the site has been published on my ftp.

Browser (s) shows a broken link pic. In my ftp program, I can see that the file has been downloaded. It's just that the browser does not recognize the links. I do not know.

In preview of Muse mode, everything seems fine. All other graphics, fonts format JPEG etc. transfers very well. Using Muse cc x 2015.x

My workflow: export Illustrator - svg - Muse - Place

Make sure that you follow the procedure described in this document to import SVG files in Muse

Process and import of SVG in Adobe Muse graphics

Also, check out this article on the creation of SVG files for the web

    https://sarasoueidan.com/blog/SVG-tips-for-designers

They should provide you with the necessary knowledge.

There is a shortcut, try to import files from this tutorial into your web page and see if they work. If they do, there is a problem with your SVG files.

  • Delete a bookmark leaves broken links which are insoluble

In help for 2015 of Robohlep under "Delete bookmarks" it says the following:

    Delete bookmarks

(1)Remove all links to the bookmark.

(2)select the corresponding icon in the section. In the toolbar, click Delete.

But nowhere in the help or anywhere else it tells you how to remove links to a bookmark.

In my project, I had a bookmark that I removed and he left me a broken link. When I restored the bookmark and then right-click on the little flag and click "show all references" there is no reference to the bookmark. If there is no reference to the bookmark, why not remove it without getting a broken link?

Thanks for all your help and BTW congratulations on your RoboWizard page, very useful information.

Rewrite of the CPD did not solve my problem, but I found a workaround solution so that I don't think you or I or someone else needs to spend more time on this issue.

I'll mark it as answered although I still think it's something that Adobe faces. Having a broken link that is not related to is boring and in my mind a bug in the program, but I understand how busy all the world is and how such an element is probably low in priority. So, since I have a suitable workaround that satisfies me I will mark my question as answered and leave it to the development team of Adobe software as to whether they want to approach this or not.

  • How to fix broken links

I update my site with new portfolio pieces, but every time I save a new image in the images folder (using dreamweaver), it does not appear. I just get a broken link/image. How to fix this problem? Is this something to do with the folder root?

PSD files do not work in web pages, because it is not a supported file type.

Acceptable web images are jpg, gif and png and svg.

  • Broken links after Windows to Mac transfer

Following a backup and restore from the PES 11 Windows 7 to 11 of PSE on Mac (Mt. Lion) process, I have broken links.  Other catalog information are intact (file name, tags, captions, etc.).  I moved 6 catalogs... only 1 has been a success.

Background:  I started with 10 PSE on Windows 7... PES 11 installed and all the catalogues of a correct conversion.  Used the file, Back Up process (Full) with an external drive to move files and catalogues PES 11 on the Mac (10.8), using files, restore catalogs.  I suspect that the problem may be in the part of the restoration procedure that allows a choice between the original location and the new location... looks that I've tried both.  The instructions from Adobe in the PES 11 free step by step instructions, but not to be not developed a large part on the issue of the location.  I tried the file, reconnection, reconnect all files without success.

    Thanks for your help.

Looks like you did everything well. Sometimes, that works if you remove all photos of moved and catalogues, do a second time. I have no idea why this is.

  • Broken links in Oracle Magazine.

    Hi all

Can you advise is possible to read old magazines oracle numbers?
For example, at the bottom of the page
    http://www.Oracle-Developer.NET/display.php?id=312
I found the link of MODEL clause in Oracle Magazine by Jonathan Gennick.
Unfortunately the link is already dead.
After some research, I had discovered as the article "Announcing the new MODEL" and finally found in some Chinese websites
    http://blog.163.com/zhyang@yeah/blog/static/130143844200991404047765/
So in this case the problem is solved, but in many other cases, I need to spend a lot of time to find articles that have been published earlier than the year 2005.

Can someone give a link to archive Oracle Magazine (< year 2005) on Oracle's Web site or others?

    Best regards
    dbms_photoshop

I remember this was requested and rejected before. I would like to see it too, but I can understand that the world is already quite old, obsolete or mythical information flow.

If you know when something has been published (sometimes a broken link can give an idea), you might luck into the [url http://web.archive.org/web/20041205061859/http :// www.oracle.com/technology/oramag/oracle/02-jan/o12sendmail.html] Wayback Machine (hat - tip to [url http://radiofreetooting.blogspot.com/2006/12/why-dual.html] APC for this example).

  • cannot repair broken links

    Hello

I've got broken 267 links on a single page, all the images.

There seems to be no difference between the survivors of the links and broken links,

I tried to fix the links in the link Inspector and the properties panel, which failed.

I think that it can take a long time to fix, so I don't want to go down the wrong paths, especially with me being a relative newbee a whole.

The page in question is here:

    http://denchworthponds.co.UK/pond%20Construction.html

It's a site heavy image in which each image has

a miniature, a miniature bearing and a great lightbox image that is activated when you click on the thumbnail

122 links are OK, 267 links are broken.

I didn't notice before I downloaded the site as happening in "Preview in browser".

Maybe the problem is in my code - I hope so.

Would it be one of the following values?

1 / the pictures are in the image files in the folder of images on my local site, it's a bad habit to have folders in the folders on my local site? (i've got charges)

2 / since registration (for the Web and devices) the images on my local site, I have many of them reopened in photoshop for alteration of the image, I was checking for an increase in file size so I did change the images, but do not see. Then, of course, I saved their return in the same folder with the same name etc. Was the problem that I simply recorded images and is not saved for the Web and devices? -they were already optimized. (some images have been changed manually, others using the Actions palette)

    3 / some of the file names are probably not friendly DW, for example;

the pond6thumb4 file is located in my 12pondbuild6 4/11 folder,

DW reads this folder as 12pondbuild6 4% 3 a 11 - that is the problem?

(and, as I say, this folder is inside the Images folder on my local site)

The mystery to me is that 122 links are not broken, and I see no difference between the survivor and the broken links. It all seems a bit arbitory.

I'm running CS5.5 on a 2007 iMac core duo desktop computer.

    Any thoughts anyone?

Thank you for your time and greycells in advance

    -Shaun

Yes OK, it was indeed the names of folders:

    change 12pondbuild6 4/11

    What DW reads like 12pondbuild6 4% 3 to 11

    at 12pondbuild6

-and then you can fix the link in the link checker

    -I think he'll be a night loong.

  • Fixing broken links

    Newbie using ID CS5:

I have to many broken links to images that I don't have, and I suspect that they are not used. The guy from the printer needs for me to fix all broken links, and I don't know how. How, in the name of Elvis, do you take a broken link on the links palette when you know that the image is no longer in use.

I'm not a guy ID; I'm just someone doing a favor. If someone could do me a favor and tell me how to do this, I might be able to put an end to this nightmare. And I will try to return the favor if I can.

Links are just pointers to an external file. By linking data image InDesing is able to keep the size of the reasonable document and the performance is acceptable. Average links missing tha the pointer is no longer valid and ID cannot find the file in the original location. This can happen for various reasons, in general is the file has been transferred to a new user who has no access to the location files original (and who is often accompanied by a failure to provide the linked files, during the transfer), or sometimes a person moves or renames something and the path is broken.

IF you have received all the files that are supposed to be related you can republish them and solve your problem. The easiest way is to put them in the same folder as the document and let ID find automatically when you reopen the doc. If you were not given these external files, you must go to the one who made the file and ask for them.

  • Problem with the links?

I have recently upgraded to inDesign CS5 to CS4 and have some documents that I update.  The work links seem to be broken.  I update the links, then the connection breaks again in a few seconds.  I tried to update the original work on CS5, but the problem remains. I have created a document inDesign CS5, placed one of my files have, saved, closed.  When I reopemned the file - I had the same problem with the link.

My main concern is more with CS5, CS4 and all of my previous work.

All the patches or for that?

OK, but they are on your hard drive or on a network location, somewhere?
