Problem of brush Presets

Hello! I have a problem with my brushes. Every time there is an update, my brush palette resets by default. I have quite a few brushes as I am a graphic designer and, honestly, do not want to reload all the time. Is it possible to save constantly which will not be deleted?

using windows7 if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance for any help

Who would say that you have a problem with your Preferences file, or photoshop is in force - quit instead of leave normally (the preferences are saved when Photoshop stops).

  • Define brush Preset

My define Brush preset is grayed out, nobody here knows not why this could be?

    Thank you

Check your selection gradient (in the case that has increased the size of the selection).

For example, the image that you want to set as the brush is more than 1000 * 1000 pixels. The square of 1000 would be the maximum size of your brush.

So make it 1000 * 1000 pixels or less to be able to select "Define predefined.

  • Files using PNG in Photoshop to create Brush preset for watermark

How can I talk to a png file in Photoshop and creating a Brush preset with it to use as a logo watermark?

Thanks for any help you can give me. I am a bit challenged in this area

When you create a brush. What is black is that the brush will use to show. So if you say you have a box that is 100% black, the brush will make a box of 100% of the color you choose at the time of the brush. White will show nothing, and gray will show an opacity of 100% and 0%. So adjust your logo accordingly. All what you need to do is to open the png and go in Edition > set the preset shape.

  • Panel vs brush presets Panel

In the brush presets Panel, I choose basic brushes in the menu dropdown. Then replace. The new choice of brushes appear in the brush Panel and in the brush presets Panel.

But in the brush Panel, additional brushes appear.

There are always more brushes in the Panel of brush brush Presets group whenever I have replace. The Manager of Preset brushes is poplulated with same brush as brush presets Panel.

What determines the additional brushes that appear in the brush Panel?

    Thank you

    Mac 10.7.5

The brush pre-selection Committee shows predefined.

The brush panel displays all controls for brushes, and of the sub-panels is brush TIPS.

These are the forms available for brushes, not full predefined (which include all the parameters of the brush).

As each preset shape can have several boards (via double brush), all the tips appear in the area of advice, even those who are not normally visible in a preset.

  • Problem with brush + fill (gap) in 7 & cs4 (photo attached)

So sometimes starting yesterday every time I draw with the brush (STROKE a path), then fill with the paint COP there is always a gap between the filling and the brush. What happens in 7 and cs4. See attached image I tried Googling this problem, but (brush, gap, fill) search terms are too generic.  I reset all the settings of photoshop and brushes in 7 and cs4.  I'm lost, any help is appreciated.

in this screenshot you can see the gap between the brush and the filling, but there is no difference with a marquee of filling.

    brushproblem.jpg

The problem is caused by the semi-transparent pixels created by either antialiasing inherent in almost all brushes or the fringes caused by hardness slider. If you are painting on a layer without transparent pixels square you get this problem if the paint bucket tolerance is pretty high.

  • Inactive space in the window of brush presets

It is a very unusual thing. I decided to re - install photoshop, but when I opened it, the control panel preselections of brush on the right has a very weird space under the slider of brush size that I can't do anything with. When I switch on I get sort of a do not enter sign. Clicking on it does not help, and the window closing and reopening it don't work either. It's right here too much room and it really kills me. I can't find anything related to this, but someone has an idea what it is?

But have you used the brush and changed the tip of the brush a couple of times?  My gut feeling is that this isn't the problem, because even if there is "recent" brushes to display, it should still be a ready for when there are empty window.  I would definitely check the permissions, but if there is a problem it will not for general preferences because they save OK, but check the path to the other presets.

  • problem of brushes-i made a mess

I have CS4, CS5, CS6 and CC on my iMac with OS 10.8.5. I uninstall CS4, but reluctant to release CS5 and CS6.

The folder of the brush, inside each photoshop application folder contains various brushes. I wish to eliminate duplicates and consolidate all brushes in a single folder, no doubt ~library/app support/adobe/photoshopCC/presets/brushes.

For reasons that escape me, I can't do this job. In fact, I use only PHCC.

I'll be limited as a non-Mac user assistance, but you spent some time without a response now.

I'd say you are trying to use the good location.  The location of Windows is very similar to yours at least.  This page could help

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Photoshop/KB/preference-file-functions-names-locations.html

One thing that we see with Mac systems permissions problems.  Maybe you are not allowed to directly access this file location?  With Windows we would maybe start the application directory in administrator mode, or simply check the properties of the folder to see if the files are read-only.

The Application Data folder is useful because it is used in 32 and 64-bit Photoshop, but there is a separate for each version of Photoshop folder, as you can see in this screenshot

As a final point, please be careful removing the "apparent" duplicates and check their settings in the preset Panel.  For example, the first six brushes in the Standard game are similar, but have none, pressure controls the size and pressure controls opacity (in that order).  I keep at least one backup of data App presets folder just in case.

Note that I've changed the names of many of my games of brush, they appear in alphabetical order according to the content.  You will need to close and restart Photoshop after changing the contents of the folder.

    Go to (your user library)

    ~/Library/application support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CC 2015/Presets/brushes

    and remove the brush set.

To view your user library, click on your desktop, hold down the Option key while clicking on the menu go and then click library.

  • Set the preset shape error - "unable to complete the command set brush Preset because the selected area is empty.

I tried many ways to create a custom PS CC brush (2015), and all my efforts give the same error identified in the subject. I copied the shape layer in PS CC (2014) and everything worked fine. As a solution, I saved the brush set out and transferred to 15. I can't understand what is wrong. Is there a bug in 15 w 'set preset shape' specifically? Greatly appreciate suggestions and knowledge. Thank you!

    See you soon,.

Which will not. There's nothing a brush without bristles of brush 100% white. There is nothing to set.

  • Problem with brushes (impossibility to change)

I used the C5 version for a pretty long time without problems of any kind related to the brushes, but just a month ago, I started to notice how just the base line that worked properly, leaving me with almost all of the brushes as non-functional. Of course it doesn't mean that they don't 'paint', but the hardness is pretty poor , and the menu does not allow me to change the values.

I tried to restore the brushes because he helped me once, but it is inefficient.

I want to thank with all my heart any type of assistance that could be given.

Finally I found the source of the problem. I had to restore the setting for brushes, do not know if this is the setting, but has all the features that you can give to the brushes. There is a picture of the menu (it's in Spanish but I hope you get the idea)

  • Color problem different brush stroke.

Every brush stroke than I do who is the color which has always differ slightly with each individual line. So with colors other than black, white and all shades of gray, whenever I do a brush stroke, the color is always slightly different. I need to have all the same color. How can I remedy this?

Make sure that the blending mode is set to normal

Make sure it is not the selected mixer brush and the brush.

As a general rule however, when things do not work as expected, have a good look at the Options bar.  If none of the above resolves the problem, try resetting the brush (far left of the Options bar)

    Good luck

  • How to use the brush (or brush preset) like Eraser?

    Hello!

I recently bought a pack of brush that contains a lot of pre-defined tool and, as I'm an Illustrator, have fallen in love with some of them and use them constantly.

Some of them look really nice dry textures.

As the presets Pack Eraser tool only is not that rich, I was wondering if there is a way to use a brush as an eraser to erase.

Please note that I do not consider painting them white and then to multiply as a solution.

In a way, I want a brush to paint transparent...

    Any ideas?

Set the Mode in the toolbar options to Clear.

  • Wacom pen opens the brush presets menu

I know it's a matter of adjustment and although I went through all the settings I know, this problem persists. I used a wacom Intuos5 with cloud of Photoshop and Lightroom. Whenever I touch the pen to the tablet in Photoshop and only Photoshop, it tries to open a predefined brush window. This is of course very frustrating tracing or drawing. I have the drivers updated, deleted preferences, uninstalled, and reinstalled the Tablet and photoshop. If anyone knows how to turn it off, it would be much appreciated.

This means that he sends a right click for some reason any. Check the preferences of wacom and mouse system preferences (in which case define you for left-handed use for some reason any).
