    original title: write protected disk

my removable disk (f :)) is write-protected, so I can't put music on my micro SD memory card, how do I remove this then I'll be able to transfer my music from my android phone?)

Use a MicroSD adapter. Hold the adapter and MicroSD card, so that you can read the labels, then insert actual MicroSD card into the adapter. On the adapter, usually towards the top left (opposite), you will see the word 'Lock' with a directional arrow. Press the very small sliding tab in the slot to the left of the card upward to remove the write protection of the adapter which will then remove the write protection on the card that you inserted in. When you're ready to protect your data, simply repeat back and forth the slotfacing downwards.

  • External hard drive does not work. Is there another way I could solve the problem without formatting the external hard drive?

My external hard drive works. I tried to plug and when I tried to open it, it says to format the drive until I could use it. Everything works well as when I plugged the USB icon shown on the screen. When I check the disk management, it showed that the partition of the drive is there.

I tried to change the drive letters, but still having the same problem. I also tried to run the disk check on the command prompt and the properties of the drive, but it still can not because there is error popping up saying that the disk check cannot be performed because Windows cannot access the disk.

Is there another way I could solve the problem without formatting the external hard drive?

I tried the first step in troubleshooting the hard drive, but it gives a
error in saying that "hardware changes might not have been detected.

So I tried the second method, and when I click on the "Check now" button his
gives an error saying that "the disk check cannot be performed because .
Windows can not access the disk".".

So is there any other way or option?

    Thank you

  • Problem of Format DVD, convert VCR DVD

I am convert family videos to video tape to DVD using a Toshiba DVR.  I want to make copies of these using my laptop (Sony Vaio, Windows 7).  I copied some files on my hard drive and then burned a DVD using Windows Explorer.  The burned copy would not play on my computer or my normal DVD player. When I try to burn a disc using Windows DVD Maker, Windows Media Player, or Windows Media Center, they would not even recognize the data were there (a problem of format?). But Windows Explorer I would like to burn a disc. I can play the video file that is in my hard drive using Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center, so there is something that the computer recognizes. Why other DVD players cannot play these files?  What is a format problem? From what I can tell they are. IPO or. BUP or. VOB format. There was some error messages about the codec used to compress the file. Could this be something to do with the format or how my machine is burning the disc? Or, more likely, this is the format the Toshiba Burns videos from the video tape?

Trying to copy DVDs by extracting the files, converting them
compatible formats and the use of DVD authoring software
to burn on DVD can be a lot of time, problematic
    task.

What if all you want to do is to copy the DVD created by the
Toshiba DVR... See the following simple solution.

The freeware ImgBurn can create an ISO Image
that allows to burn copies. Once you have the
image created... you can use it to burn as many copies
    as you need.

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

Ignore most of the download buttons and click to the left of the
green circle with the white arrow... He says...

    Download ImgBurn:

    (The download is: SetupImgBurn_2.5.7.0.exe)

(During the installation there will be an option to install
Shortcuts of UniBlue and the "Ask Toolbar"... you can
    you want to deselect those)

  • format micro sd card acer liquid e2 problems

Hello I have an acer liquid e2 smartphone running on android jelly bean 4.2.1

recently, I bought a micro sd with a capacity of 32Gbs of kingston card

at first glance, everything worked fine, but yesterday, I wanted to transfer files via 4Gbs.

I noticed that it is not possible for FAT based micro sd for this cards but if format you the card micro sd for exFAT, or NTFS you could work around this transferlimit.

so today, I bought a drive from sd cards to solve the problem.

I put my micro sd card in a sd card and then the sd card in the sd card reader/writer.

I connect to my computer and I reformatted my card micro sd, exFAT AND NTFS, but none of them has been recognized by my phone.

so I searched more on this subject, and it seems that android supports NTFS...

so I wonder is my e2 liquid acer problem here? and what do I do?

I hope that I did not purchase this reader/writer for sd cards

    Thanks for the help

    Sorry for the late response

my phone is rooted so I lack it but there were a few problems update even if it was properly the

so I changed my phone to its factory settings and updated to 4.2.2

It was not always able to recognize NTFS in itself, so I searched again and found an app that should be able to do

the app is called "paragon NTFS and HFS +" it wanted to download it but I need to root my phone to use this application

so I rooted my phone after update to 4.2.2 and downloaded this app

now, I'm finally able to use my micro sd NTFS-formatted card

I don't know if the app alone would be enough to do, but it was clear that I needed the app or at least root

4.2.2 update alone is not enough

    Hello

    Method 1:

Follow the link below, run the fix it tool and check if it helps.

Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/hardware_device_problems/en-us

    Method 2:

    1. check if the device is detected in Device Manager. Follow the steps to go to the Device Manager

    i. click on start, type devmgmt.msc and then on enter.

II. research the name of the device

If the device is not detected in Device Manager, and check if it is the hidden device.

    i. click on view under view hidden devices

II. develop all winks in Device Manager

III. there would be multiple entries in the device in gray Manager uninstall all entries shaded under all the winks and then restart the computer and connect the external device to the computer and check if it works

    2. install the latest drivers from the manufacturer's Web site and even ensure that the driver is compatible with the version of the operating system installed on your computer. Check if it works

  • Problems of formatting with Satellite P25 2 GB SD card

    Dear members,

Although I spent hours looking for an answer to the question above without success, I felt that I had to ask him once more. So, it's here (and sorry if this has been asked and answered already, maybe someone can tell me the right thread...).

I have a laptop Toshiba P25-S5093, that was my serve. I bought it new over 4 years ago. Recently, I decided to take advantage of the embedded in my laptop SD card reader/writer. I bought a * _regular_ * SanDisk SD 2 GB (* not the HD - SD format *) and when I plug it in, I see the SD blue LED lights momentarily on my keyboard. I can even see that the _laptop reads the correct capacity of the card_ when I right click the icon. However, the system says that the card is not formatted and ask me if I want to format.

Then, when I'm using the Toshiba format utility to format, it hangs for 2-3 minutes (I see the led Flash SD LED blue) and gives me the following error message:

    * TOSSDFMT: Unexpected error! Error code = 0x0340FF00

I tried the quick format and a full format, with no success whatsoever. I exchanged for another 2GB SanDisk memory card, still the same problem.

I downloaded the last SD formatting utility from Toshiba Web site (the latest utility driver looks old, it still 2003) and always without success.
    _Toshiba SD Card Format Utility Windows XP/2000 (v2.01.0; 09/09/2003; 1.75 M) _

What is so intriguing is that both cards SD I've tried in vain on my Toshiba laptop, * work a lot on my brand new laptop working from another manufacturer *. * These cards are also fully recognized by my Canon or Fuji digital camera *.

    * If I use a USB card reader adapter, these cards are recognized by my laptop. This seems to point to a problem with the built-in SD slot or Toshiba driver / or Windows XP? *

    Notice to lovers? What gives?
    Thank you

PS: or as a bonus question, what is happening with the warning of 'ready' or 'equipped' Bluetooth? I thought I had Bluetooth in my laptop, but I guess that's not so. Can someone explain to me * what are these BT stacks for * and how they align with what I have built-in hardware terms. Batteries BT BT "ready" but * no match *. I downloaded the following, but my virus detection was not happy with this file:
    _Toshiba Bluetooth Stack for Windows XP/2000 (v4.00.36 (T); 28/04/2006; 26.56 M) _

    David

First P25 appears to be a mobile American, designed only for the American market.
If you need information in this series, visit the Toshiba site us.

One question; You are sure that the 2 GB SD cards are compatible and supported at 100%?
Seems too large is not supported!

    > as a bonus question, what is happening with the warning of 'ready' or 'equipped' Bluetooth? I thought I had Bluetooth in my laptop, but I guess that's not so

Did you find a Bluetooth label on the bottom of the unit?
If not then this laptop has not built into the BT adapter!

    > Batteries BT would amount to BT "ready" but not equipped.
Yes, a lot of series is not delivered with the BT module but can be improved!

  • Good storage format Micro SD card internal?

    Hey people,

Looking for feedback from users who have their microSD card formatted as internal storage extra. How is this work - not the phone still seem to operate/function smoothly? If so, how about some recommendations on micro SD that seem better suited for this cards?

To add something - if you format the card as external/portable... and you end up by internal storage space. You can back up everything on the card to a pc and then put in the internal form.

If you start with the map to the internal format, and you put more applications on it then will never fit back on your phone, you cannot migrate everything off of your card to a pc. If the card is in internal format, you may be able to move the photos to PC, but applications can be uninstalled or migrated to the inside until the inside is full.

In the G4 forums, a user just posted about how the SD card worked well under the name internal/passed until the Facebook app (it has migrated to the SDCard) got an update - it basically trashed his phone for awhile.

I see simply no reason to implement this (adopted) way until this that forced to do. Maybe N Android will work better, but Android M with adopted storage has much to be desired.

  • need help with a micro kingmax sd card work on W510

So my friend gave me a card of 128 MB kingmax micro sd for my W510 when I put it in the backlight lights up but its does nothing not chime no small note saying its nothing works. My homies phone is a scoop LG and that could be the problem why its not working?

    Beto-M

You may need to reformat the card from your phone.

But first save the files/images that can be on it from the other phone (if they are important) by using a PC card reader, if you are using the format option, it will give the memory card clean format with appropriate for your phone directories.

You can use upward on a 8 GB card in the W510.

    Welcome lou407,

It seems to me that your new Micro SDHC card has not yet been formatted in FAT32. We suggest formatting using a PC computer and then plug the Xoom. If you happen to restart your Xoom with inserted memory card, it can get hung up in a "loop" start until you remove the SD card.

This should solve your problem, but please post your results here.
