Problem of its Silverlight if you use firefox.

Ive been watching live sport and on Web sites that they use Silverlight as a multimedia player. I've noticed that when the silverlight player that plays when I open another tab in firefox that the sound of the silverlight player sounds a little weird and broken. If I then open the tab with the silverlight again player noise problem has gone and if I choose another tab without the readers Silverlight then I get the samething with the sound error. Its a little difficult to explain exactly how it sounds.

Ive also noticed that when Im watching something live and Im on a different tab than the silverlight player plays the video at a lower speed so if I'm watching a living thing so when Im on another tab, then changes back to that with the silverlight player and I can see that Im seconds behind depending on how long I've been on the other tab. The quality of the video is also much lower after swinging back to the tab with the silverlight player.

I don't know what the problem is. I recently got a new computer, so I think I have the new versions of firefox with silverlight. I have no problem with the sound on my old computer that uses an older version of silverlight and firefox in my opinion.

  • If you use Firefox, a popup box McAfee indicates that a program (Firefox) wants to access. Is it legitimate, or is it a fake?

I use the Internet in McAfee security system. When you use Firefox, a pop-up dialog box appears indicating that a program on my PC is trying to accept incoming connections from the Internet. It indicates that the program is located in C:\program files\mozilla firefox\firefox.exe to Firefox. Recommendation of the dialog is "unknown program." My choices are "always allow", "allow once", or "blocked". I can continue to do what I was doing on Firefox without clicking on one of the 3 choices, but the dialog box does not go far.

I'm afraid to choose "always allow" as this never happened in the two years I'm using Firefox until I started having problems with my computer (virsuses) about a week ago. Please notify.

If you think your computer has a virus on it, you shouldn't ignore the fact and switch to another browser.

You must get the virus removed. The virus may record personal information.

I would say that the guest you have received is a prompt genunine for Firefox. The location you said "c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Firefox.exe" is genunine for Firefox.

You probably receive this prompt because Firefox has been updated about a week ago. Version 6.0.2 is out and your security this McAfee product identifies as a different program. Yes, it's always Firefox, but a newer version of Firefox and your McAfee program confirms just so you know it's been updated and is different from the way it was before.

You are right to be wary of security prompts.

The best way to check the application is the following.

Open my computer and locate the file c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Firefox.exe

Right-click on the Firefox.exe file, then select "Properties".

You will see a tab named 'Digital Signatures '.

Select this tab and ensure its says "Mozilla Corporation" and it has a timestamp of 3 September 2011.

Assuming that - that's life and you can allow it without risk.

    It will be useful.

  • If you use Firefox to connect to facebook, I get a message on the download of anti-malware programs. How can I stop this?

A few days ago, I tried to connect to Facebook to play games, chat and so on. After filling in the username and password, I get a message telling me it looks like I have malware on my computer and I need to download certain types of anti-malware program to clean my computer. This only happens when using Firefox. How can I get rid of this? I tried to remove and reinstall Firefox. I ran two major anti-malware programs that work on my laptop. If it is a legitimate program from Fb, I would like the option to refuse. I did not have the choice. I can connect to Fb on Google Chrome without problems, and so I have to conclude that this is a problem with Firefox. Any ideas? I tried to contact Fb, but so far there has been no response.

If you get a pop-up message asking to put plugins or Firefox updated or anti-malware analysis then this message probably is a scam and you should never respond to such reporting to avoid being infected by malware.

    • Don't update Firefox via "> about" or by downloading and installing Firefox from Mozilla and server never using a popup or a link on a web page.
    • Plugins should be updated only through the plugin itself, or by visiting the home page of the plugin.

Make a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
All of these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.

try in firefox safe mode and give a try

Try the Firefox Safe Mode to see how it works there. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • You can open the Mode without failure of Firefox 4.0 + holding the key SHIFT key when you use the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or use the menu option help and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

Do not choose anything at the moment, just use "" boot mode safe. "
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox (without the Shift key) to open it again.
If it's good in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one.
