Problem of keyboarding!

I had a very frustrating problem with my keyboard.  First, he begins to answer slowlyto I type (sometimes it dosen´t evenresponds) and then to his starts typing a letter by itsel on several occasions and there continue to advocate himself without even touch the computer. This will increase the intensity until I restart the computer turns on. Other symptoms are MS Word creates dashes in the documents, trying to save the doc, change zoom etc (its cray).  My browser open´s tabs like that and out of nowhere. It's like something is type in the shortcuts on the keyboard. Sometimes, if you open a window, it will begin to act as if you let him hold the tab key. My laptop is a hp pavilion dv4with Windows 7 home Premium and I bought less than a month ago!  I tried to restore the default value of the plant and the same propblem persists. I tried to connect an external keyboard and it works perfectly... but if I press the built-in keyboard is going nuts. I tried to do a clean startup using Msconfig and nothing... tried updating drivers and... nothing! Can someone please help me understand this!

Hi Fco.H.  If the problem persists after that you restored by default, updated drivers and external keyboard works perfectly so your laptop has almost certainly a hardware problem.  He'll be back at the point of sale and take advantage of your warranty.

  • Pavilion: Pavilion x 360 problems of keyboard and screen

    I'm the unhappy owner of a x 360 Pavilion, prod. lol M9G20EA #UUW.

    Big questions:

    1. About half of the time the screen is upside down when I opened the PC. Sometimes closing and by reopening bypasses the screen. Sometimes a reboot is required.
    2. The hardware keyboard and the touchpad randomly is disabled. A full restart is necessary for reactivation.

The machine is working. The service company argues that were without material errors, and restored the operating system to windows 8 - who has not solved the problems.

I see in this forum a lot has similar problems with this model. I've tried every suggestion I could find here. Onfortunately it did not help.

Just for the follow-up of this: HP transferred my "case" in Danish support, who contacted me by phone and loved very much for help me.
I send a few drivers for display, chipset and touchpad, with instructions to install them in a specific order.
Unfortunately, it has not solved the problem.
I was then absent for various during some time and when I went back to using the machine again, there was an update of display driver of app HP Support Assistant unfortunately the autoinstall has failed, but I managed to find the same product on the HP website driver download and install manually from there. I also found a newer version of the chipset driver, which I also installed.
Installation of the required drivers, a lot of tinkering, including the assistance of a third party (provided by HP) to completely remove the old display driver, several restarts in safe mode, etc.
At the time of writing these I have had no problems on keyboard for a while - hoping he disappeared completely. The problem with the screen being upside is still there, but to a much lesser degree. In addition, the orientation sensor seems more sensitive, while just shaking the screen backwards a little wil if he turns in the correct position.
If this will continue to be the situation, I can live with that.
But still: (almost) all that work to make a product works as advertised should not be necessary. It should work out of the box or at least with a quick access, automated driver update.

  • Satellite A500 / big problem with keyboard

Hello everyone, first sorry for my English, I'm French!

Anyway, since 2 days now my Satellite A500 has a big keyboard problem and I don't know how to fix it. I used it as usually, just cleaned each week arriving at work with a simple cloth and after starting my computer, when I started typing, I realized that the keyboard has disappeared as a "madman".

Some keys are reversed, others like the space bar just doesn't work anymore, capslock button now unlock with the key has and another example, when I press D writes 'CD' and other stuff like that. It is simply impossible to type correctly. I'm running on Windows 7, I have the first test to look for any kinf of viruses, vain, so I formatted my hard drive, reinstalled Windows 7, then after I did the update to the Bios and now everything is clear and clean, but the keyboard problem is still there.

The fact is that I have this laptop since August 2009 and my warranty no longer applies, so before I should send my computer to any computer repair store I want to know if it's really a problem of keyboard/equipment which can be fixed, "softwarely" or if there is always some kind of alternative for me.

Thanks to all for your future responses.

    Hello

    Crazy keyboard?
Hmm. Don t think that it s software or related bios looks more keyboard problem.
You can try to plug an external USB keyboard to check if the problem would be also available
If it s not available using the external USB keyboard, then it s internal problem of keyboard and the part needs to be replaced.

Keyboard replacement is not difficult. The keyboard is secured by two or three screws that are hidden under the cover of thin plastic above the F1 - F12 buttons.
Remove the plastic cover, remove the screws, lift the keyboard, disconnect the cable (notice, two tiny locks on the connector needs to be moved).
Then, you would be able to remove the cable of the flat keyboard which is connected to the mobo.

But if you have no experience, then you this replacement must be done by laptop computer technician.

    Welcome them

  • Problem with keyboard on the Satellite C850-F0202.

    Hello

I need urgent assistance on the keyboard of my C850-F0202.
Without warning, the keyboard went without object.

The only bit which seem to be affected are the shortcut keys for brightness(f2-f3), toggle (f12) wireless as well as those of the volume(f9-f10). In addition, the 'NUM LOCK' light during the restart.

I made several suggestions and recommendations-system restore, uninstall the keyboard driver and reboot system, etc--all without success.
In one of the occasions where I tried the system restore, I got an error message: critics of the process is dead.
All attempts to "System Restore" ended without success.

I am amazed, bar this problem keyboard, everything seems to work very well; start is smooth, no fuss.
I'm at my wits end, I need more positive assistance.

    Please help, thanks!

NB: Operating system: windows pro 8.1.

    Hello

My personal opinion, you should check if this problem could be related to problem internal keyboard or keyboard controller.
Connect the external USB keyboard and check if it will not work correctly.

In case the connected USB keyboard will work not correctly, the problem is must be linked to the internal keyboard failure. To solve the problem, you must replace the internal keyboard.

  • Problem with keyboard on Satellite L500-128

    Hi all

I'm having some problems with the keyboard on my Satellite L500-128 - essentially; 8, 9, i, o, k, l and comma and period keys do not work.

All other keys are working perfectly fine (I use an external keyboard if people wonder!)

I'm technically minded but I was wondering if its worth disassemble the laptop and have one eye or if someone has had this problem with this laptop before - or if someone has any ideas with what he could fix.

I tried to do a reset of the laptop (battery and pressing power button) I reinstalled the operating system, but the keyboard still has problems in the BIOS too.

    Hello

In my opinion and as suggested by Liam, it looks like a simple keyboard malfunction and to solve this problem, the keyboard needs to be replaced.

The Toshiba service in your country partner could replace the defective
Otherwise, you could try to replace it yourself, but if you are a beginner and if you have no experience, ask a support technician.

  • Cursor jump - is NOT a problem of keyboard!

Windows 8. My mouse jumps at the beginning of almost all fields of text every few seconds. Note that this is not random jumping - the cursor jumps only at the beginning of the field. I say "almost all" because this forum post is the first I've found where it does not. The problem never happens offline programs, the toolbar or login form fields. Only the fields of text in Firefox. Cannot duplicate in Chrome. I was typing stuff in my word processor and then copy and paste to get anything done on my blog or email. Restarted my computer, and then uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. No improvement. I tested and is not remotely to a keyboard problem, such as cursor more jump.

  • Problem with keyboard: some keys return two, not one, characters

I have a MacBook Air 11 '' mid-2012 128 GB SSD model running OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 and my keyboard has developed a strange problem occultation key repeat.  Whenever you press the "3" button, the system generates thus simultaneously a '3' and '6 '.  This motif is repeated this diagonal of the keyboard down, i.e.

    '3' generates a '3' and '6 '.

    'e' generates an 'e' and a 'y '.

    "d" generates a "d" and an "h".

    'c' generates a 'c' and a "n".

The reverse is also true, that is, a '6' generates a '3' and so on.  Curiously, the sign '=' generates a character "§" as well, a special character generated by keeping down option and pressing "6".

    (This combo generates a ' § ' and a ' £', hidden under the '3'.)

The same problem occurs when you use the Shift or Control keys as modifiers.

I can work around the problem by using either a connection wireless Bluetooth or wired USB keyboard (like using the "Keyboard Viewer" option under "System Preferences"), but that kind of defeats the point of having a laptop as a MacBook Air, Yes?  The problem is intermittent, but becomes very annoying.  (Try to type a password with such a mess!) It sounds like a mechanical problem requiring a possible replacement of the sale wholesale (and), but I hope someone out there can have a software or another solution.  Thank you!

That certainly points to make it a hardware problem.  It is difficult to imagine a software problem that would not affect both internal and external keyboards.

  • J8B76PA: Problem with keyboard

Hello, I am using HP for laptop - 15-r062tu.

Recently, my keyboard shows a problem while playing.

For example some keys (up arrow, left arrow, arrow to the left + d) do not work when you press at the same time. Several keystrokes are limited in my laptop now. But it wasn't any problem as soon as possible. Earlier, I used to play several games. Please answer this question...

    Hello

There are no drivers to download for the built-in keyboard.

You can go to the Device Manager (window key + X then Device Manager) and find the keyboard > keyboard HID device, right-click on it and uninstall the keyboard. When you restart the PC, keyboard returned.

But that shouldn't have anything to do with some defective keys. You can try if you want.

My main guess is that you probably need to replace the keyboard.

  • Problem with keyboard on the Satellite Pro C660

    Hi all

I am completely confused because my keyboard has gone haywire and am pretty annoyed, that I can't fix it

Am running windows 7 on toshiba satellite laptop computer pro and I was wondering if this is a software or hardware problem.

    Here's what happens:

-Caps lock light stays no more but it flashes when I press it. It always works well
-Left SHIFT key still works, but when I press on it... it is also creates this symbol ~ at the same time within UK keyboard. If I change U.S. keyboard then it enters the vertical BAR.
-The ~ key above the tab key doesn't do what ¬
    - And that the key to the pipe that is above the input Tape button this: #7

I updated the BIOS earlier today, but nothing helps...

Does anyone have an idea on how I can fix this as its quite frustrating! Thanks for all the ideas.

    see you soon

Keyboard is controlled by a Microsoft driver that is part of the Window System.
So the story is pretty simple either your internal keyboard has failed or the keyboard on the motherboard controller does not work.

How do I know what part is affected?
It is also quite simple, you connect an external USB keyboard.
If you notice the same problems using the external keyboard, the problem is related to the keyboard controller. If you n notice any problems using the USB, the computer keyboard keyboard internal works poorly in this case has to be replaced.

  • Win7/Satellite P200D - Admin Login - problem with keyboard - password is not displayed

    Hi all

My Satellite P200D has Vista Premium o/s, was about 5 years old now

Has worked well enough until the last of three months or more and developed a problem of restart.

Hit restart button and it stops, then after several attempts get it at startup and on the screen that shows the internal PC Repair or Normal startup mode option. The only way that I can get to the login screen is to click on Normal mode as the automatic repair option does not work.

Has decided to switch to Win7 to see if that would solve the problem.

Now there is another problem, and it's the login admin password screen. The cursor flashes and any attempt to type password does not visibly show the words you type.

Also tried and external usb keyboard does no difference

    Help, please

    Thank you

I have the Satellite P200D with Win7 32 bit and it works perfectly.
