    Hi guys,.

I have Hyperion 11.1.2.2.0 running on Websphere and can apply the patches until the version to 11.2.2.300.

I downloaded and checked the Readme, said I should do the redeployment of all applications (CalcMgr, EN, planning...).

This redeployment process, I need to run the runWASDeployment.sh? Or just run config-tool - manual.sh to reconfigure applications?

    Hi all

Could you please help me understand - patch which apply in 12 c 12.1.0.4 OEM - PSU or Budle patch ?  By doc - id -

which of the below mentioned patch to be applied in the OMS?

1 > system Patch 12.1 .0.4.10 - Patch 20675595 (It is a fix Sytem that includes all the WHO-side plugin Bundles available this month and the SGC-side Plug-ins, published in previous months).

We recently upagraded our 12.1.0.2 in 12.1.0.4 OEM with software using update option during the upgrade, so none of the PSU are applied to the OEM. Now, we want to apply the latest patches to OEM that fixes all the bugs and bugs/titles.

I thought that BP will include both PSU, but why say DOC - id - 1900943.1 - NOTE: we recommend that you always apply the most recent quarterly PSU.  For 12.1.0.4, this is the Patch: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/BugDisplay?parent=DOCUMENT & sourceId = 1900943.1 & id = 20392036https://updates.oracle.com/ARULink/PatchDetails/process_form?parent=DOCUMENT & sourceId = 1900943.1 & aru = 20392036 & patch_password = & no_header = 020392036 (12.1.0.4.3 power supply).  Please refer to the Note. 1995267.1 . for the last available for Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud patches PSU controls 12 c Release 4 (12.1.0.4). ??

    Help, please.

Yes, they are mutually exclusive so you must apply the PSU & the patch Bundle/Plugin system to get the complete set of SGD fixed side.

Summary of the analysis of conflicts:

There are no patches that can be applied now.

Following hotfixes present conflicts. Please contact the Oracle Support and get the merged patch from the patches:
    13004894, 17540582, 12942119

    -install 11.2.0.3.9 17540582 PSU
-apply the recent patches 13004894 and 12942119?

13004894 patch and Patch 12942119 are NOT included in the Patch 17540582 so what you need to do is:

-Restoration 13004894 Patch and Patch 12942119

-Apply the 13004894 Patch and Patch 12942119 (11.2.0.3.9)

  • need advice on PSU 11.2.0.2 patch version db

    We have oracle database specifications:

    DB version: 11.2.0.2
    OS: Redhat Linux 5

Our management wants us to apply the latest patches of power supply.

I think 11.2.0.2 is the latest version of 11.2, and I have the patch to upgrade to 11.2.0.3 then apply latest patch PSU.

I am here? The steps and procedures I should follow?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes 11.2.0.3 is the latest version - 11.2.0.3 go 11.2.0.2 is an upgrade, not a patch.

You will need to install 11.2.0.3 in another ORACLE_HOME, apply the latest patch of power supply to the 11.2.0.3 HOME (see this Doc MOS - quick reference to Patch numbers for power SUPPLY of database, SPU (CPU), Bundle Patches and Patchsets [1454618.1 ID]), then follow the steps in the upgrade doc

  • Grid control agent 11.1.0.1.0 / WHO 11.1.0.1.0 PSU patch

    Hello

I'm looking to patch SGD 11.1.0.1.0 to 11.1.0.1.4, im however slightly confused about the weather it is patches available for GC officers POWER supply - I don't seem to be able to find something on MOS.

Am I right to think that there are no patches PSU for 11.1.0.1.0 of Agents still?

    Thank you

The deployment of the agent remains the same. You could create a clone of your 11.1.0.1.4 agent again host facilities or continue to patch manually agents to supply FOOD 4 after you have deployed it (I prefer the pull method). In 10.2.0.5, we did a lot of cloning, now that we're done with 11.1 upgrades, it's time for the establishment of a 11.1.0.1.4 clone.

  • Oracle RDBMS security patch reports

Apart from the use of costly commercial vulnerability scanners, are there easy techniques to produce a user-friendly management report on what security patches are missing from a server Oracle 11 g? Or better still to produce a 'fully patched security' type assurance to management report.

Could you provide some simple steps to make the report or management of a sample report?
In addition, that excuse my ignorance, but I've heard systems administrators say that they often fall security patches from database that they refer, apply the hotfix could cause problems with the operation of the application, it's a legitimate concern or a load of nonsense? Have you ever applied a security patch that had an unfortunate knock on effect on the request which it gives life.

Please keep simple answers to the DBA/management not friendly.

    Hello

in my experience in customer support, I found that customers often confuse the severity of a vulnerability of security with the effects
correction, for example a typical vulnerability would involve validating the incorrect settings, so it would be possible to abuse an API
call to "do their thing", however well behaved applications never try to do more than documented, so for those the fix has zero effect.

Also in my experience regressions are very rare and even more exceptional in patches of CPU, since they do not plan to change the
feature but only to stop bad things or possible.

The best practice is to catch up with the CPU patches (or power supply) as they are made available and do not fall too far behind, each time as Oracle
emits an alert or quarterly a patch of CPU, there is a risk matrix that lists scores of vulnerability on a scale of 1 to 10
detailing how he is this time for the CPU quarterly most people forget that it only lists the problems reported since the previous.
then when they fall with wonder and patching, if the issue is serious enough to apply a patch for it, they forget to check
the severity of all issues fixed since the last CPU they applied.

The Advisor must simply apply these patches as soon as they are made available as they are low-risk and fix serious problems.

To check which hotfixes are installed in household use of database: opatch lsinventory-patch, for example with the last power supply on 11.2.0.3 it looks like this:

  • Problems Windows 7 Mute

    I have a HP 8510W laptop.

    I use Windows 7 X 64 7057 version.

    My problem is the following:

Windows seems to turn on the quantity of material mute on my laptop after a certain (or perhaps at random) once a sound is played. When the operating system plays a sound, it seems to take between 5 to 15 seconds for the OS to reactivate the sound of my laptop and play the sound.

It's embarrassing when I play back movies with that Media Player Classic as such software sometimes I put the movie on hold and come back a minute later, with the laptop on mute (mute mute such material represented by the button on my keys which touch above the keyboard) and try to resume the video. The video starts to play without sound and then a little later, the video freezes and the sound begins to play. The video remains frozen, while the sound catches up in the right place before you leave the video RESUME.

I speak mainly the material being cut as the speaker to windows volume icon does not show it as muted, and if I open it, the 'secret' is not on. I can force the mute on and off to fix the problem, and when I do this, the volume control window freezes a bit while she thinks and just finally good.

I don't know if it is a driver problem with my specific laptop but I'm really not sure how to go about resolving this issue.

I understand that this is a BETA OS and I don't expect magic patches... but I don't have any button "send feedback" so I thought that I'd better send it somehow. In addition, this is where Windows 7 was sent to 'request' of this issue, so don't tell me it's in the wrong place, because I'm well aware that's the poster in the vista section.

I was not confronted with this problem during the build 7000, so this seems specific to construction.

I tried to update to the latest driver I could find, which is: http://www.drivercure.com/driver/driver_vendor.php?id=54A5DDEC-9AA6-4C19-A85E-C6BF73228E1D

    Doesn't seem to help.

    I found a better solution.

I let windows download the latest drivers for my audio in my laptop through Windows Update. Problem persists. (Running Win 7 X 64 7100 RC and the problem is still there)

I unzip the drivers I found at: http://www.drivercure.com/driver/driver_vendor.php?id=54A5DDEC-9AA6-4C19-A85E-C6BF73228E1D

I run the installer that tells me to continue I need to uninstall my drivers. I left the software removes the drivers and I reboot. I left boot windows up again, and of course Windows 7 detects the drivers by itself (the same that accompanies the windows update) but I do NOT proceed for the installation of the above drivers.

So essentially, I used essentially the above drivers to uninstall the drivers from Windows Update, but am not try or will never use. It is just the installer that you need to use uninstall it first. This is obviously some strange process that causes the auto-muet. If I uninstall the audio drivers with the above (uninstall only) drivers and let windows find these same drivers he used already (I didn't have to do something that windows finds himself), the problem goes away. Of course, when it comes to windows update, I have-no-download the new drivers for my sound hardware and simply hide the update because I want not broken again.

Maybe when there are new drivers SoundMax, I'll use those, but for now this works very well.

  • Upgrade graphics card and PSU.

Hi, I'm going to be upgrading from my power supply and graphics card for the p6-2442eahttp://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03714374.

I narrowed down it to 7790:https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/AMD+Radeon/Radeon+HD+7790/PowerColor+Radeo...

    7850:https://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/Other+products/XFX+Core+Edition+Radeon+HD+7850+2GB+GDDR5+Graphi...

These cards are compatible with the current motherboard and system bios currently has?

Also what would be a good power upgrade who would work with the computer, I was thinking of http://www.scan.co.uk/products/550w-psu-xfx-core-edition-p1-550s-xxb9-85-eff-80-plus-bronze-sli-cros... but do not know if it works or if there is a less expensive I could get.

Or the other graphics card should work without problem. The HD 7850 should be faster in most of the benchmarks, while the HD 7790 has low energy consumption. XFX P1 - 550 s-XXB9 PRO550W food should be good, or you could consider the Corxair CX500, or CX600.

    Please send Bravo

  • Oracle database to 11.2.0.4 latest patches download

    Hi all,

I've successfully upgraded (in an offline test environment) my oracle 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.4 database. now I'll go back to the snapshot test once more and check step by step my checklist.

When I run the setup I was asked by the installer for automatic control and download the latest patches, because my test server is offline I jumped this option, but I have all the patches have been downloaded for the second round, how can I find and download all the patches for the 11.2.0.4 release?

    Thanks for the help,

    Marco

Power supply is updated set of patches. It will be (SPU/CPU) security fixes and other bug fixes.

SPU - updated the security patch

    CPU - Update critical

Power supply is the best option. It has two types.

Database of PSU's for DB home

    PSU IM for IM home

PSU patches are always cumulative. This latest patch will have sets of old patches

Patch of the bundle is the same as the PSU. Windows patch PSU is referred to as a hotfix Bundle

Power supply will be published quarterly (January, April, July, October) mid

Bundle patches are published quarterly and are also calling for the base

Srini said for your status apply the patch to the PSU.
