Problem saving in PDF from MS Publisher

Windows 7 (version 6.1)

MS Publisher 2007 (SP2)

I have a postcard document I am trying to save in PDF format. The document being saved very well but I had to change the size a little (increased the custom size from 4 x 6 to 4.25 x 6.25). Now, instead of the full document, here is what I get (lack of about 1/2):

pdf_issue.png

Sending to my printer works well, save in JPEG or PNG works fine... it's just the PDF that injects the picture off the page. Help?

Thank you.

With a few additional handling of the margains, etc., who took care of her. Thanks for the help jonbessant.

Well, you have used transparency and belnding modes and such things must be correctly flattened in order to maintain its appearance and/or requires treatment appropriate overprinting in Acrobat. Merge layers manually, check the flattening settings in the PDF export presets and / or use the printing processing tools in Acrobat to rectify the issue and check what it will actually look like when printed.

  • Problem with printing pdf from Adobe Acrobat Pro

    Hello

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4.3.

PDF-print has always worked a lot, but all of a sudden, there is some kind of problem.

After you print a "Print to PDF" built-in excel document in MacOS or Adobes printer I have PDFs corruptet when showing them in Adobe Reader/Acrobat, but MacOS software preview shows them correct.

So there can't be any problem with printing, but the local preview on my computer using Acrobat or Reader. I don't even use the Myriad in document police, I use Verdana.

    screen.jpg

You say you use Verdana, but you're not. The error message clearly indicates that you use MyriadPro "BOLD".

You probably recently installed Mac OS X 10.6.7 update that has a bug with OpenType PostScript as "BOLD" MyriadPro fonts. Use the Verdana or another font TrueType or PostScript, or come back to Mac OS X 10.6.6.

  • How can I change the file version for PDF files scanned 1.4 when you use the Acrobat XI "PDF from Scanner' feature? By default, it is always saved as 1.5.

Because our COMPUTER system can only handle PDFs with versions up to 1.4, we function 'PDF from scanner' to store the PDF files scanned in version 1.4.

Acrobat 9 always recorded in 1.4, but from Acrobat X, PDF files are saved in 1.5.

Must be a configuration or a setting somewhere where I can change this.

I already tried to change the standard the Distiller joboptions, but it does not work.

    Thanks for any help

There are ways to automate optimization PDF using Actions.

Without doubt, the problem of trying to mix new software (well, not old, not sure why you migrate to Acrobat X when it's already obsolete), with very old software indeed. PDF 1.6 was published 11 years ago. I realize, this may not help, but it may explain why there isn't an option for you.

  • Problem saving to the PDF/A format

    Hello

I have problems saving my. PDF to PDF/A. My thesis deadline is in a few days, so quick help is appreciated.

I use Mac Acrobat version 10.1.0

When I export, I get this message:

    Screen Shot 2015-04-09 at 2.52.29 PM.png

When I run the preflight, I get the following errors:

    Screen Shot 2015-04-09 at 3.50.15 PM.png

The document has been exported from word to PDF, then edited in acrobat. It has been necessary to adapt the page numbering, since the word is impossible to work with.

    Please help, thanks!

I had the same probems and solved it like this:

    • Option 1: Install the latest version of acrobat pro DC (that much improves the conversion of PDF/A-1). There is a trial version if you want to try first...
    • Possibility 2: If you're stuck with Acrobat X, try the following
      1. to export the file to Word using the 'Adobe PDF' printer and set the stanard to PDF/A-1b. This will provide you with a file conform to PDF/A-1.
      2. Make your changes in Acrobat (page numbering etc.)
      3. Use the preflight (convert to PDF/A-1) or you can try the File\Save as\PDF-A

The two have worked for me...

    What is the problem?

The pdf of the Pages is limited to Mac users?

You export a Pages document in PDF format, or you choose File menu: print... and choose the PDF button and then save as PDF... Fix?

And now, others say that they cannot open this PDF on Mac? On PC? On Linux? Using this PDF reader?

The PDF Viewer for Firefox supports not only this type of form PDF (XFA) or any PDF form really. You must download the file and open it in Acrobat or Adobe Reader, and it will work. You can download the PDF file right click on this link and selecting "save target as".

File > print > printer Adobe PDF is a way.

    This assumes you have Acrobat.

  • Create PDF from VBA with the same resolution from the Ribbon

I use Word 2010 and Acrobat X Standard. I wrote a VBA application which creates a Word 2010 document and saves it in PDF format.

I have a problem with export to PDF from Word 2010.

In Word 2010, I've specified to the file, Options, advanced, do not compress the images and my pictures are saved in the Word document with high resolution.

On the Acrobat Ribbon tag, I created my own preferences with any compression and downsample off.

When I create a PDF file from the Ribbon, the resulting resolution of the PDF document is beautiful.

I used the feature to record a Macro of Word to capture the action:

    ActiveDocument.ExportAsFixedFormat _

    OutputFileName: = "C:\Gary\Book Publishing\Projects\Problem with Images\Sample.pdf", _

    ExportFormat: = wdExportFormatPDF _

    OpenAfterExport: = False _

    OptimizeFor: = wdExportOptimizeForPrint _

    Range: = wdExportAllDocument _

    From: = 1, _

    À : = 1, _

    Agenda: = wdExportDocumentContent, _

    IncludeDocProps: = False _

    KeepIRM: = False _

    CreateBookmarks: = wdExportCreateHeadingBookmarks _

    DocStructureTags: = True _

    BitmapMissingFonts: = False _

    UseISO19005_1: = False

When I put this code in my code VBA for Word, the images in the PDF output are at a much lower resolution. It feels like the Preferences are not honored.  Any ideas?

I agree, you do a very reasonable assumption; What happened ago just weird... I don't know if the Adobe is doing, or Word...  In any case, here is the documentation for the method uses the macro, because Adobe do not offer an alternative. http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word._Document.exportasfi xedformat.aspx

    Hi @GTR3,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I see that you are unable to print the PDF scanned documents with your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-all-in-one printer. I would like to help.

You are able to print any other format PDF on the Mac, or the question is just limited to your scanned PDF files? Whether the soft friendly PDF work with - Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader?

In the meantime, I recommend you try the following steps:

    • Uninstall your printer - click here for instructions.
    • Fix permissions of the disc on your Mac - click here for instructions.
    • Once you have finished running the utility above, restart your computer.
    • Finally, click here to reinstall your printer.

Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post. If I helped you to solve the problem, feel free to give me a virtual h.o.t. by clicking the "Thumbs Up" icon below and by clicking to accept this solution.

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support. Have a great day!

  • Questions PDF with Microsoft Publisher 2016

I produced a newsletter since early June 2016 using Microsoft Publisher Windows 10. It prints perfect and the PDF file printed perfectly until yesterday.   Now, if I import an image with a white background and click the new color, and then select the transparent background color option to have the graphic image, the background looks perfect on screen. When I save the file as a PDF, the image retains the white background. What is happening and how this problem can be solved? All the world has started having this problem?

[Ask in the correct forum allows... Left non-technical Forum Lounge for an Acrobat forum... MOD]

How do save you the document in PDF format? Adobe provides a PDFMaker for MS Publisher in some time, so it is very likely that you are using the generator PDF from Microsoft. In this case, you must ask a specific forum for MS Publisher Help. We don't know anything about how Publisher creates a PDF file. Try here for example: Microsoft Community
