  • problem with uninstalling a program

I went to programs and features and a right click on a program to uninstall it, but while it has been uninstalled my computer froze (well, not really freeze, because I could only move my mouse). After 15 minutes, I have the computer shuts down completely and returned to uninstall the program. He was no longer listed in programs and features, but it has not been uninstalled. I don't know how to uninstall it now since it does not appear...

I also have another problem where a program that is technically uninstalled and deleted from your computer is still listed on programs and features. I have installed what is called "Timberman" when I mess with Firefox to the market. I deleted Timberman instead of uninstalling it and now when I try to uninstall from programs and features, nothing happens, and it has remained ever since.

    Hello.

My apologies for the late reply.

You can place the computer in a clean boot state, and then uninstall the program.

Step 1: Put the computer in a clean boot state

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Place your system in the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: see 'How do I reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting' to reset the computer starts normally after troubleshooting.

Step 2: Run the System File Checker tool

System File Checker is a Windows utility that allows users to find corruptions in Windows system files and restore the damaged files.

To do this, click Start, type command or cmd prompt in the Search box, right click invite, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.

At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

Note: Do not close the command prompt window until the audit is completed 100%. The results of the analysis will be posted when this process is complete.

    I hope this helps.

  • have problems to uninstall a program

I installed build 915 dopdf8. novapdf is installed as well. now I want to uninstall both of them, but I deleted all the files in the folder of softland under program files. some files are deleted. also I couldn't uninstall these programs. What should I do now?

    Please help me...

1 reinstall the programs and then remove them properly using the control panel > programs and features rather than deleting files.

    or

    2. use free Revo Uninstaller--> http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

Because you have "partially uninstalled' the program by deleting files, you may need to use the free trial of the 'Pro' version ($ 39.25 to buy), which includes some more aggressive techniques of hair removal.

  • I try to uninstall a program, but am met several times "the Launchanywhere properties files is missing" how to overcome the Please this problem? I am running windows 7, 64 bit.

I'm trying to uninstall the rest of the ultimate reference, Encyclopedia Britannica in order to download a new program. Whenever I have to go Control Panel and you are trying to uninstall I'm met with an error message "the property of the Launchanywhere file is missing" could someone please tell me how to solve this problem a former program uninstaller. Thank you very much.

    Hi Harvey.

This problem is limited to a specific program? You are able to uninstall other programs?

We will analyze and identify the cause of the problem. Normally, this problem occurs when Windows Installer could not find the required components.

    Method 1:

I suggest you run the Microsoft Fixit to try and Uninstall the software from the computer.

Check out the link to launch the Fixit:

Solve problems with programs that cannot be installed or uninstalled
    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall/

    a. click 'Accept'
    b. Select "Detect problems and apply the patches for me".
    c. Select "Uninstall".
    d. Select "Encyclopedia Britannica"
    e. Fixit will search for bad registry files and try to fix it.

    Method 2:

If the problem persists, I suggest to perform the steps described in the article and check.

    http://support.Britannica.com/other/readyreference/win/issues/RRw_148.htm

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    Back up the registry

    Hello
Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you delete your Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. This process does not delete your Firefox profile (such as bookmarks and passwords) data, since this information is stored in a different location.

To do a clean reinstall of Firefox, follow these steps: Note: you can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from mozilla.org office (or choose the download for your operating system and language on this page) and save the file to install it on your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (or open the Firefox menu

      Click the close button

      ).

    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

More information on the resettlement of Firefox can be found here.

WARNING: Do not use an uninstaller to third parties as part of this process. This could permanently delete your Firefox profile data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and passwords saved. They can be retrieved easily unless they have been backed up on an external device! See back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox.

Please report to say if this helped you!

    Thank you.

  • Cannot uninstall the program... Corrupted file UIs

I'm trying to uninstall a program and the following error. "The log file c:/path...\uninst.isu is not valid or the data has been corrupted. Uninstallation will not continue. Please share a solution for this problem

Thanks for the reply. However, this solution is not available as long as the first step in the resettlement process is to check the available space on the disk, in this case 140M. I am trying to recover the disk space for other uses, where my desire to delete this big and don't use the program.

140 MB is nowadays a small amount of disk space. IIL a re a lot of things you can do to get a rear disk space, but they will get relatively little and you will almost certainly find soon in the same situation. The only real solution is to buy a second or bigger hard drive.

But if you want to try what I suggested, delete all of your temporary files and empty the trash. This should give you enough disk space to try it.

    Hi John,.

    1. Since when are you facing the issue?

    2. you have any security program installed on the computer?

3 did you a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?

    Method 1:

I would say allowing you to run the FIXIT from the link provided and check if it helps.

Solve problems with programs that cannot be installed or uninstalled

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall

    Method 2:

I also suggest to try to run the System File Checker scan on the computer. The scan will replace all the Windows files corrupted with new ones.

Click on the link mentioned below for further guidance on the scanning of the file system Checker

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 3:

I also suggest you to run a full scan using the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check for infections.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: there is a risk of data loss if all the files are infected and which can be removed in the cleaning process.
