We are Mac OS 10.8.5 on my machines here.  I am of Reader and Acrobat 11.0.06 put jour.07 and failed to be upgraded on 2 4 machines I've tried so far.  The 2 that worked happened to have connected users.  2 who did not I was logged as administrator of the.  So, it shouldn't be a problem, but it is.  I've included the error log.  Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Sheldon,

The cause of the error that you are experiencing is:

14 May 16:52:32 Macintosh.local installed [412]:. / Preinstall: AcroPatchInstall:ERROR: could not create file intermediary tmp/com.adobe.reader.updater/AppPath. The installation failed.

I'm suspecting that this is happening because of some some related problem of permissions on your machine. Can you please try to run the repair permissions, instructions which can be found here: repair permissions in disk by running disk utility | Mac OS X

If it doesn't solve your problem, try to remove the file "/ tmp/com.adobe.reader.updater/AppPath" manually, and then apply the patch. Another solution could be using--> check for option updates in the Application If you have not already tried it.

Please let us know if any of the above solutions works for you.

Kind regards

Shashi

  • Problems updating Adobe Reader XI

I have been using Adobe Reader version 11.0.10 all year round without any problems, except for the part 'all year': update did not work either automatically or manually, because he told me "no update available" so that the release notes page shows that following three updated quarterly have been released. Is there an explanation known for this?

In any case, I took matters into my own hands by going to planned 11.0.13 update, October 13, 2015 - Acrobat and Adobe Reader Release Notes and download a patch (version non - MUI 44.9 MB of AdbeRdrUpd11013 - hope, I chose correctly?) Correctly applied the patch and I'm still able to read PDF files, but there is a minor problem annoys me: Manage Add-ons in Internet Explorer reports yet my version as 11.0.10. I think it's because the AcroPDF.dll file is still the 11.0.10 (modified 12/03/2014) version and has not been replaced by the hotfix. He really had been no revision to this file in the latest three versions, or the patch do not apply correctly? And is there a direct link to a 11.0.13 full installer (the main download page offers only 11.0.10)?

I also have the very common problem of Firefox reports a plugin obsolete, although he acknowledged the 11.0.13 version, but disturbs me. FWIW, a response to someone else's question to Firefox, said the auditor plugin now considers anything but Acrobat Reader DC is obsolete, which seems to be the only reasonable explanation.

    Thank you

According to the information found on another site, regular quarterly patches for Adobe Reader MSP are cumulative, that is, you just apply the last being; but the patches that resolve the specific problems of security are incremental. According to the release notes, the latest three patches for reader XI have been updated quarterly regular, AdbeRdrUpd11013.msp apply to my English version of 11.0.10 was therefore correct. Updater as to why said me "no update available", I suspect it is because I was running 11.0.10 on an operating system not supported (Vista). It bothers me a little that Internet Explorer always reports the 11.0.10 version, but in all likelihood it is simply because Adobe has not changed AcroPDF.dll since last December. • Update Adobe Reader XI 11.0.12 problem

For some reason when he tries to do the update it fails at about 80%.  He can not find the installation package (C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Setup\{AC76BA86-7AD7-1033-7B44-AB0000000001}\AcroRead.msi).  The package only I see in the folder adobe is ({AC76BA86-7AD7-1033-7B44-AC0F074E4100}) which I believe is the new update, but the old version to find not at all on my computer.  The reference in the programs and features Panel is incomplete and will not uninstall.  To sum up: I can't uninstall or update Adobe Reader XI on my computer because it is not yet completely installed and there is no other older versions on the PC.

  • Problems with Adobe Reader DC.

I have a MacBook Pro and recently updated Adobe Reader. Although I did not choose Adobe Reader DC, this is what I got when I updated. Why can not I use the function "save under" despite the button highlighted? I click on "Save as" and nothing happens. Why have I not access to tools such as adding text, in the form of options like underline, adjusting the size of the text, etc I was doing? Why every pdf should be "prepared for reading"? It's never happened before. If, in Adobe Reader ms, I am unable to have the features I had previously in Adobe Reader, but to return to a version of reader that meets my needs? These bugs or changes have cost me a valuable time and frustration.

    Hi michelem67328382,

The default "Save as" dialog Acrobat Reader DC is different from the dialogue box you had in previous versions, it also allows you to record in the clouds and previous locations that you saved the files. It is possible that when Acrobat Reader tries to connect to the 'cloud', it runs into problems. You can try to disable this feature to see if this brings your backup in the back of the box: open Acrobat Reader Preferences, then go to the "General" category and uncheck "show the online storage when you save files:

  • Firefox tells me to update Adobe Reader and after I try to do Adobe said that I already have the latest version.

Firefox shows that my Adobe Reader software must be updated to version 11.0.84 and when I try to update Adobe Reader, it tells me that I already have.

I also did an update of Firefox and I still have the same problem. I use Windows XP SP3. I don't know what to do. Thank you. Please tell me what I should do next.

Adobe only offers versions of basic as a full download.
If there is a newer version then you must always run the update of the player until you get is no longer a proposed update.

On the first question: my Firefox 11.0 will refresh by 12.0, even when you browse the path "about Firefox-> check updates". I know that the release date for 12.0 was today, so I don't understand what the problem is.

On the second question: is it true that, since version 13.0, there will be a 64-bit version of Firefox? If so, users will be able to choose to upgrade to 64-bit before the update 12-13?

Time of release 12 Firefox on demand (subject to change) is 8: HAP to the United States this time has not yet arrived from this response. Adjust right there at your local time.

The 64-bit version of Firefox may not occur for several months yet. Currently, there is a test at night (14 of Firefox) version, the less stable/secure level and should be installed by users very experienced for the test only. Plugins in 64-bit by third-party developers are still quite rare.
