Problem updating articles in the Folio Builder Panel

I'm trying to update the items in the Folio Builder Panel in InDesign CS6 and I get the following error message: happy build error. Could not open the file. Please confirm the file can be opened in the current version of InDesign. The only option it gives me is to cancel the update. I've only worked in CS6, and I've updated these same items previously. I just get a new upgraded computer here at work, updated to OS 10.8.2 and works on an iMac. I had to have my tech staff to reinstall DPS for CS6 desktop tools. Is there something else I'm missing or not do? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi all

My problem has been resolved with the help of technical support Adobe. Here is the solution:

Many times there are volumes network came up with the name "users." This can lead to confusion between the local path:

/ Users

and the network path:

/ Volumes/users

1. in the Finder, select the menu command Finder > Preferences.

2. in the general Panel, check the option "connected servers" is selected under the heading "show these items on the desktop:", then close the Preferences dialog box.

3. choose the menu command Finder > hide others.

4. close all open Finder Windows to ensure that you can see all the items on your desktop.

5. If you find what appears to be a volume mounted with the 'users' name, control + click on its icon, then choose the context menu command Eject "users."

6. Add or update your article (s).

The reason for this problem did not come on my old machine, it was my drive of the user has not been configured correctly by an official old tech at my company (I wasn't aware of because I had no problem). Then I got my new iMac and all my servers were mapped correctly, and then I came across this problem.

Thanks to everyone on this thread who have offered their help to me, I appreciate it.

-Thom

  • CS5 Folio Builder Panel Update - missing Panel

I've just updated the Panel Builder Folio for CS5 on Mac to the latest version (January 26, 2012) and when I run InDesign, Folio Builder Panel is gone. In addition, CSLive Panel gives me a message "internal error." I installed the updates on my PC for CS 5.5 and everything seems to work. However, I need to work in CS5 for this project. Is this a known issue? How to remedy the situation? In which case it is important, I've also updated producer Folio tools (January 17, 2012), as well.

So, I ended up finding all ironed out, though it took a few hours of trying different things. Essentially, the Folio Builder Panel was installed, but Indesign did not see it. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Indesign, but which does not remove the Panel Builder Folio and has not "updated" it becomes visible.

In the end, I had to go through the app records and manually uninstall the extension. After the relocation, the Panel stood. However, a new problem appeared. InDesign has tried to connect to my account but just turn and nothing happening. I could not cancel the in attempt to "sign". Finally, this has been resolved by opening the key ring and removing the entry of Adobe there allowed me to retype my credentials.

Phew. Thank God, it's on. (until the next update, that is).

If all goes well, this can save others some time that can run in this. Looks like it was a little lucky.

  • Folio Builder Panel is empty?

Hi, different folios, that I created in InDesign seem to have disappeared from the Folio Builder Panel. I'm registered, released, rebooted, re-opened and have updated all the software. Someone else had this problem? They appear in the producer of SPS Folio online. I also created a new folio just to see, but the Panel in InDesign is still empty, but which also appears in the browser. The options in the pulldown in the InDesign Panel are also missing, as if I had no folios.

    Thank you

    David

    Try trashing your InDesign preferences.

  • Folios not appearing is not in Folio Builder Panel

I logged in the Folio Builder Panel in InDesign that I use for my business, and rather than see my Folios I see the message below. I am still able to connect to the Digital Publishing Suite Dashboard online and you can see my Folios. Any ideas of why they are not appearing in the Folio Builder Panel?

    I use CS6.

Looks like that necessary CS6 and update - I have updated and now I see my Folios.

  • Help! Unable to connect to the Folio Builder sign from v26 patch

Hello. Help, please. Since the v26 tools for CS6 upgrade I can not connect to the folio builder Panel and discovered my folios online. The creative connection cloud appears and after signing in it closes and returns me to the finder. When I get back to InDesign, I can only view my local folios. I need to post something today and it won't. Is there a way I can get down to V25 until this problem is solved?

You can try to leave Indesign, remove this folder /Users/ {username} / Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE, then by restarting Indesign?

  • Folio Builder Panel is not displayed

In CS5.5 ID, I can't the Folio Builder Panel to display. I have tried everything that (deleting prefs, tools DPS, reinstall, reboot, etc.), but every time I opened it says "a newer version of the Folio Builder is available for download. Update Folio Panel toward the latest version here. "I've done this. I uninstalled the DPS tools and re-uploaded and re-installed the Folio Builder and Board Folio. Despite everything, nothing works. Any suggestions out there? GRrrrrrrrrrr...

If the link plug-ins incompatible does not work, try the following:

    1. install the TWO Folio tools producer and Board Folio Builder. You probably already have this, but some people confuse tools for panel without realizing there are two different installers.

2 remove all the temporary files of DPS. This is especially important if you have installed a preliminary version of ID CS6. On a Mac, these temporary files are located in user > library > Preferences > StageManager. [#] > Local store [redacted]. Remove all files in the folder of the Local host. You will lose all your local slips, but you can re - create.

  • Disconnection of the Folio Builder

    Hey all,.

I have a group of students who need to be able to disconnect from the folio builder Panel and then NOT that InDesign can automatically connect their return in what InDesign is reopened. Any idea where this cache of authentication might reside?

    Thank you

    -Scott

If you use the ID CS6 or CC remove the folder /Users/ {username} / Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE. Now, when you start InDesign it will come with the sign in dialog box and no autosign in the Panel Builder Folio.

Certainly not elegant but it should accomplish your goal.

  • May 2, requires a mandatory update to the issue of folio builder Panel

This update requires it an another update for the Adobe Content Viewer on iPAD and will be approved Apple even once?

No, if anything you update your folio builder Panel (and not the producer folio tools). Since the announcement of John:

"Note: users are not required to update their tools of producer Folio with this version, just the Panel Builder of Folio." The Panel is backward compatible with earlier versions of the producer tools. »

If you choose to install new tools producer so then Yes, you will need to use a new Adobe Content Player that is currently under review with Apple.

  • How not update (stay in the previous version of Folio Builder Panel/producer)

    Hello

Hope that the question is quite clear

I don't want to update the Folio producer I work always in a Folio that will be published in a previous version of th VB (1.5)

But now Indesign asked me to update the Folio builder. How can I continue working? and with version 1.6 of it?

It's in french, but you'll recognize that asking the famous update... So I can not connect

    Capture d’écran 2011-11-11 à 15.00.22.png

    minia92,

The update updates the Builder Folio Panel only. This does not affect the tools of creation and therefore does not change which version of the Viewer is necessary. Version which updates the tools of creation has not yet been published. (v.16 is the latest version of the authoring tools)

You must update the Panel Builder Folio to continue to use (there is no way around it).

    See: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/collection.jsp?collID=4&platform=Macintosh

"Folio producer tools" will update the authoring tools and requires an update for the viewer of content on the back-end. The most recent version of the authoring tools is v.16.

"Folio only generator Panel" will update only the Panel Folio Builder itself and requires no updates of the content viewer.

  • Question about the Folio Builder update September 17

    Hello

I was intending to assemble and export an application of development this weekend, but I see a folio builder panel update scheduled for next Monday, 17 September. Is this OK for me mount and export a .folio this weekend or should I hold off until after the update from Monday? (IE debugs it in Monday update will apply to folios that already exist in the generator of folio?)

    With thanks and best,

    Ella

Good update panel builder folio, Folio Builder panel update does not update your creative tools.
