Problem with downloading Lightoom 6 update

I have Lightoom 5.7.

I went online on the official Adobe site and tried to move to Lightroom 6.

I filled out the online form, paid the $99AUD and then received the email below:

It was a week ago and I have not heard anything back.

My bank account has been debited $1

I had no end of frustration trying to call Adobe and try to understand what's happened!

Anyone had this happen?

Should I start all over again and may be charged twice?

    Rename the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution

    Click on Start, Choose run.
    In the Run dialog box type services.msc
    Click on OK.
    Right-click the automatic updates service.
    Click on Stop.
    Stopping the service will take a moment.

    Rename the folder "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution":
    I. click on Start, run, type systemroot and then click OK.
    II. - right click on the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder and then click Rename.
    III. - type SoftwareDistribution.old , and then press ENTER to rename this folder.

    Click Start. Choose run.
    In the run box, type services.msc
    Click on OK.
    Right-click the automatic updates service.
    Click on Start.
    Starting the service will take a moment.

    It will be re-suggested download - be patient.

    You lose the history, but it's not important.

    You can try to disable the GPU performance by clicking on the icon of the rocket in the bar of the App, or on the top of the menu bar, deselect the box Performance GPU; You may also uncheck performance GPU in your preferences.

    I think that the issue should be fixed with the 19.0.1 patch.

    A12E5 is a download error. Please follow the steps:

    Windows:

    Access the Files(X86) C/Program Files/Adobe/OOBE /Common and rename it to OOBE.old.

    Task Manager open, go to process and close all Adobe services running (Acrotray, AAMUpdate Notifier) http://www.howtogeek.com/66622/stupid-geek-tricks-6-ways-to-open-windows-task-manager/ .

    Download CC Office and try to install again: https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud .

    If the problem persists what run selective startup and try to install the CC Office: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-vista/run-selective-startup-using-system-config print .

    Mac:

    Navigate to Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE and rename to OOBE.old.

    Go to Applications/Utilities and trash Application Manager and creative cloud desktop folder.

  • Overall problems with download/update (network timeout)

    So I experienced a recurring problem on my Windows 7, when I try to download anything, lets say an update to one of my drivers or an update for flash etc (by any browser mozilla/chrome/IE), the download starts very well and the download speed is very good, however the download will slow down and stop at a random time after which I have to pause and resume the Download so that it can continue. This issue is not specific to download a browser that I have experience the same problem when I download an update through a client software (client of game such as the origin or steam) or other clients such as itunes.

    I don't know what is the cause, I already tried the following to resolve the problem:

    -Disable windows firewall

    -tried 3 different software antivirus (avira, avast, windows security essentials)

    -also tried with NO AntiVirus installed/running

    -J' I redirect the ports on my router for any client/game/software

    My network adapter would be the source of the problem? I have an asus motherboard and the driver installed for my network is: Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller?

    I checked my BIOS and there is nothing suspicious I can say...

    Any advice would be really appreciated.

    Hello, thanks for the post. I wanted to respond and update anyone who can run in this post and the other person who had this problem that I managed to find the problem and fix it.

    The question is not related to material or new specific software that has been installed, and Yes, this problem affects almost all the files downloaded on the computer, regardless of the way his downloading.

    The problem was a severely outdated driver, I discovered that my driver had not been updated since 2010...

    To find this driver network card runs go to your device manager and under "Network adapters" look for your network/ethernet card, as most of my own people was the motherboard built in a list under "Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller".

    Right-click on it and go to properties, and then click the driver tab and check the Date of the driver.

    This is where I downloaded my driver updated since:

  • Serious problems with the 6.16 update: reboot page & chat

    First of all, I want to mention before, if there is no problem with Skype, it would make my computer all freeze where I by force to restart my system. If she didn't answer I could not force the program to close and would be forced to stop and start again.

    An hour or two there is something like it happened and so I restart my computer. Restart Skype updated during this time. I'm not happy about all of this change suddenly that I'm already rather on the fence with how much I love Skype.

    I'd like a way to return to the old interfaces without suffering a decline in quality with calls and video.

    The cat new UI is provided with the 6.16.64.105 version only. You can uninstall this 'special' version and install the 6.16.0.105 version with the old chat UI window.

    I have a problem with the Thinkpad X 230. After a recent update of Windows 7 (64-bit), the screen resolution is set to 800 x 600 and brightness to the minimum. FN + F8/F9 does not work. The brightness is uncontrolled. I had to restore the system before the update.

    According to the request, we understand that you are facing problem with the display resolution on your ThinkPad X 230.

    If you have updated the drivers from Windows update, sometimes this kind of problem occurs with windows generic drivers for cause of driver incompatibility, suggest always update drivers only via the ThinkVantage System Update utility. Update only the application of Microsoft Windows Update.

    You can also manually download the drivers from the Lenovo support site.

    (a) update you are trying to install? (It would be better, if you can provide the number of KB)

    (b) are the other updates related to Windows from installing on your computer?

    I suggest you try the following steps:

    Step 1: Disable the software security and then try to install the update

    Note: Activate security software once the test is completed.

    Step 2: Download and install the update in the clean boot state

    To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows Vista, follow these steps.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

    After starting the computer, download the update manually and try to install it.

  • Problem with the gallery after update 2.3 music

    Recently updated my XperiaX10i (French version, not operator sim locked). No problem with the update itself and the phone seems to work fine.

    But, the music gallery has first not detected music files already in the sd card 32 GB (no problem for photos, videos or other files), and does not so load in the library. I had to download them all again through Media Go and now the library shows them, but album covers are not more in the album list as in version 2.1, which was very convenient for the selection, however the sleeves appear in the background during playback of a track: this looks more like a bug than anything else.

    I am also missing the first Quick Launch bar application for Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, sync and the brightness of the screen, it seems that the launch of all these features to go into the settings file now.

    In conclusion, I hardly see what exactly improved on this phone since version 2.1. except maybe the speed and the quality of the screen display.

    Update from 1.6 to 2.1 was a total revolution in comparison.
