  I just got an Acer Aspire V Nitro VN7 - 792 G - 79 LX that I bought recently a few days ago. I'm not thrilled with Windows 10, so I installed Windows 7 x 64 on it, instead. I only had a chance, until I had to go to work (I drive a semitrailer tractor for a living, and I am currently on the road), to find Windows 7 drivers for the network Realtek card in it, and I now need to find Windows 7 x 64 drivers for the WiFi card. I need help to identify the make and model of the wireless card that my laptop has, because when I go to the Acer website and enter my serial number, then search for drivers, it lists drivers for WiFi cards of 4 or 5 and 2 different Bluetooth drivers.

  I'm sure that my Nitro V17 has an Atheros WiFi Qualcomm card, and I found the information on another site (no Acer) that my card Atheros WiFi Qualcomm model number is NFA344.

  Anyone can check that it is correct?

• Problem of e1-731 wifi Acer Aspire

  Hi, first off I hope you guys can help with this probblem and sorry for the long post.

  So that's 3 days ago I reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 for my fathers laptop, (Note everythign was working fine b4 that) and after I installed, automatic updates checked I couldn't connect to the internet or wireless internet.

  I installed some drivers of the donkey of portable Cd that it follows:

  Aetheros Lan AR8151L

  Hai Bluettoth_Combo_3rd Wifi 2 x 2 AGN + Bt$.0 Broadcom 43228 + 20702

  I tried to install Realtek Lan drivers it doesn't let me, said something that is not compatible with this os.

  OK, so now are the problems I've tried to solve and everything.

  Run Services and enable WLAN AutoConfig-set to automatic. Done, nothing happened.

  Run Config.msc and sfc / scannow, let it scan at 100%, no error or anything.

  Start-Search Wireless - Manage Wireless networks (says: Wireless is not currently active)

  then I'll add manually connect to a wireless network (says: Windows cannot detect all wireless network interfaces)

  So I'm going to Device Manager - The Bluettoth Radios has one! in a yellow triangle on generic Bluettoth adapter

  -Other devices-Network Controller has even! in the yellow Triangle

  -i connected to my desktop PC internet router cable and connected it to the laptop, I press the update on these 2 options, and it does not update or I would update.

  I went to the control panel of configuration-network and Internet-network connections-change adapter definition thers only 2 options:

  -Local Area Connection (Broadcom virtual wireless adapter)

  -Connection to the LAN 2 (Aetheros AR8151 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet (NDIS 6.20) controller)

  There is no wireless network with wireless icons or anything.

  When I go to the game new connection or network, it gives me 2 options:

  -When I go to connect to the internet, gives me only 1. Broadband or 2. Dialup-

  -When I go to put in place a network: it is said could take 90 seconds to scan, but she never finds anything and that my router is detectable

  I don't really know what to do anymore, what drivers to download or install, I tried a lot, ive been OutSite myself with this for a 3rd day now, I just can't, I'm not known enough to do this, so if any of you could help me, or add me to my Skype and help me stepbystep to tell me exactly what to do id be greatfull Yes.

  I think you should try to install it manually from the Device Manager, double-click Bluetooth, updating the drivers, "Browse my computer...". "and look for the correct path.

  Step 1: I suggest to start the computer using safe mode and check if the problem persists.

• Problems with Acer Aspire V5 - 573 G UEFI?

  I have Acer Aspire V5 - 573G. Before all the problems start I used Legacy BIOS mode with 10 Windows Pro 64 bit OS. Have the latest BIOS v2.30.

  So, recently, I decide to move from the Legacy BIOS UEFI and reinstalled Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with UEFI mode activated with the GPT partition style. Everything went well with the installation.

  Now I am facing following issues with UEFI and Windows 10 witch, which I didn't in Legacy BIOS mode:

  1. When the laptop goes to sleep and is not touched for a while, I can't wake up to laptop. Press any key on the keyboard or touch the touchpad don't wake it either. Only way is to press the Power button to stop completely and then turn it back on. I don't know if it's something to do with the Windows settings to resolve this problem.
  2. Restart Windows sometimes stop laptop computer. It's really strange... Windows shows it restarts, screen goes black and does not start, instead it laptop shutdown. ??
  3. And when I shut down the system, it is not entirely clear. Often the blue light continues to blink, CPU and GPU fans are always and still closing system entirely to press on the button / stop.

  These issues are somehow related to UEFI, because I had no such problems with the traditional mode and Windows 10. This is starting to annoy me when the laptop stops completely.

  Any help on this?

  I just updated my BIOS for the next issue, and the problem has.

  I guess that maybe the BIOS got corrupted!

  I used the simple approach and no short layout has been involved.  I deliberately did not go for the latest BIOS just in case where he brought new questions and confused the situation.

• Power supply with Acer Aspire X 1200 problem

  Hello world. I need help. I'm new to Acer Community Forum, but have a problem with my off-warranty X 1200 desktop model. It turns off and I am unable to start it. I changed outlets and also changed the power supply cord. Still nothing. The only thing I see on the Acer Support site is "check the tension on the system setting", but no explanation on how to do this. The system has a fuse that could be replaced? Someone had a similar problem? Any ideas as to what I can do to feed her top? Thank you.

  Thanks for your comments. It turns out that I was able to 'test' the PSU using the method "trombone" (20-24 pin, placing the trombone open between the Green and of the sons of black earth) and confirmed that the most likely guilty was in fact the power supply. I bought a new one on eBay (about $53) and in 2 days it had in my hands. I followed an other UTube on how to replace the power SUPPLY and even if I there was, cleaned dust on the fan, etc., put everything together, and SUCCESS! Now everything works fine. I agree that it would have been probably not cost-effective to have Geek Squad troubleshoot and replace the power supply, but to do it myself, I would say that it was well worth! Considering that it was the first time that I NEVER opened a tour, I feel pretty good on the result. Thanks again for your response! Ethel

  Hi all, I recently bought a SONY HT-SS380 Home Theatre, and I tried to connect it to my Acer Aspire 5552-5686 by HDMI port. (I have Windows 7).

  My problem is that I have can´t set up the laptop to use more than 2 channels (stereo). I ve been looking around the internet and there seems to be a common problem with this computer, but I can´t understand why or how to fix it.

  I ve tried to install the latest Realtek Audio drivers, the Catalyst Control Center, some Audio HDMI of ATI drivers. I Don t know what else to try!

  Hi, I have an Acer Aspire 5520-5163 (I also have an Acer Aod150). I had Windows XP and now have Windows 7 on both. Since coming to Windows 7, I lost the use of the function Fn + F6 to turn off the screen. I installed several programs of Launch Manager and it didn't work. Also when I changed the NVIDIA drivers I momentarily recovered the use of this but now she again. I searched the web and found nothing. Really, I've used this in the past six years, I had this PC. On another Acer, it works fine. I don't know if it's the video drivers (if I uninstall install Windows as they once again immediately) or what may be the problem, but I would appreciate any help really. Or another way to turn on/off the screen by a combination of keys. I used the program turn off LCD but I want something that can be turning on and off with the key combination. If it's Fn + F6 better.

  Hi, sorry it took me so long to answer. The link you provided was for a 64-bit operating system and mine was 32-bit (which I think that I have not mentioned). It seems that the problem was some malware or something because yesterday, Microsoft Security Essentials detected some Hack and after its removal, I can say with joy that I can reuse Fn + F6!
