Problem with File Explorer

In Windows 8, I am unable to create a new file with File Explorer.  All that happens is the little circle rises, and finally, it will switch to "not responding".  This happens directly in the Explorer file and in Word and Excel when I try to use Save as. This s a new installation and I had only a week. Nothing about elements default ordinary has been loaded.

Hello

Please, try the command SFC/scannow in the administration command prompt and see if that helps.
Hope this helps, good luck :)

  • Problem with Windows Explorer and the recorded files

When I save files from the internet and then open the folder with Windows Explorer in the backed up files, I find that WE consider not save them on my hard drive "change" more. I know it's strange, but I tend to retain files roughly in the order that I saved them, rather than by the name of the file or anything else. So now to manually change the files in a certain way, then save them to get them organized as I want. Of course, this can become very painful and long if I have a lot of files to organize this way. My question is: How can I get Windows to consider saving a file on my HDD as change? I use Firefox and updated recently, which may be the cause of the problem.

    Hi Flingle,

Were you able to save and access files correctly before you update Firefox?

You can create a new folder & try to download the file inside of Internet Explorer & check if the problem persists.

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

Hello. I recently bought a HP Pavilion with Windows 8, and I'm unable to open Windows Explorer or the library. Whenever I click the icon pinned to the taskbar, I only get the preview of the libraries window, but it does not actually open it. In addition, whenever I try to open a file I just downloaded, Windows Explorer crashes and I have to restart. What is the problem?

Thanks for the reply, but I fixed the problem via an update. Apparently, they sometimes configure Windows 8 to run as if you have two monitors, in order to open file Explorer, except she would open on my monitor second, non-existent. Genius, really.

  • Outlook Express is more on my computer after having a problem with Internet Explorer.

I had problems with some clogging Internet exploring down in the middle of a session online so yesterday I installed IE 8 and everything seems to be resolved. Today when I booted up, Outlook Express is no longer on my desktop and I can't list programs. I also have Outlook on my computer and it seems to work very well. A virus check on the site from Microsoft and my virus program shows no virus.  Is Therre a way to recover messages that I had stored in Outlook Express

    original title: Outlook Express disappeared

Go to start | Directed and paste this:

    "c:\program files\outlook express\msimn.exe".

Including the quotes.  If OE starts, then go to tools | Options and make it default.  Alternatively, you can set that as default mail client in Internet Explorer under Tools | Internet Options | Programs.  Outlook has probably hidden or deleted the shortcut and I think that the exe may be hidden.

Your messages should be there anyway.  They are hidden, then go to control panel | Folder options | View and uncheck Hide extensions of known file types and check the show the hidden files and folders option.  Do an advanced search, then include hidden files in the advanced settings and find you the dbx files that takes messages.

See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4 and point 13, because Outlook is involved.  See also www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx for the background.

  • Is problem with Windows Explorer (not Internet Expl.) - possible to reinstall this software or update?

I have several problems which, after some time, can be attributed to a problem with the Windows Explorer (not: Internet Explorer)

    Examples:

-files are not finished (so that they remain in a queue forever) (this happens every time)

-When I try to replace a file from one directory to another this process is at a standstill (occurring rarely)

-When I shut down, I get a message that trying explore but unable to play the fine tune (sometimes)

-in Word, I get printer messages not responded or other problems with opening files-Word (sometimes).

Remarkable (?): boot in normal mode is always successful, even after the crash on shutdown.

    Question:

-is it possible to reinstall this software or update?

    - or something is needed to get a solution?

    Hi Niels,

    1. When did you start to question?

2 did you recent hardware or changes to the software of the system?

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

You can check if the problem occurs in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode

    Step 2:

If you are not faced with the question in safe mode, then you can try to perform a clean boot and check if it helps.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

In addition, after you fix the problem, you can see step 7 above to restore your computer to a Normal startup mode.

    Method 2:

If you are faced with the question in safe mode, you can run a Checkdisk to see if there are drive errors that can cause this problem.

Check your hard drive for errors

Note: When you run the disk check, there are chances of losing data if you can take a backup before starting the checkdisk.

It is preferable to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

  • Problems with Internet Explorer: index-z?

I have my site almost finished, but I am still having problems with his display in Internet Explorer. Navigation bar (spry menu) has a white top box and you can see the text when you place on it. (I think this has to do with the z-index? I read solutions of div tags can be added around the problematic code, add the position: absolute; before the z-index. However, I don't know how to do that because I did the Web site in design mode and did not work with the code a lot.) In addition, the there are boxes around the images that have been inserted - why is - this? None of this appears in Modzilla. It looks fine in Chrome as well... Why is it so bad in IE? !! Any help would be much appreciated as it was our hope to have the site officially 'live' earlier this week...

Open the file Spry.css and downwards, you will see conditional code or "hacks" IE.  Change the default background of #FFF at all what...

  • Satellite M645 - problem with files from Ipod

I recently had two other notebooks die on me so why I got a brand new Toshiba Satellite M645.
I have two ipods with music on them from one of the computers.
When we follow the ways to transfer music on my new computer that I will meet different problems with each of them.

The first problem is on my video Ipod.
After clicking on the hidden folders and etc when I find the music file, it shows the files for everything except music.
Here is the list of files, it gives me

    Calendards
    contacts
    garbage
    NISAM
    Notes
    recycler
    ground
    USB 2.0 driver
    zurim

If someone could help me with this, or maybe send me to another forum or page that might help me.

My other is an ipod touch.

And when going to the devices, it rises driver device USB mobile apple instead of an ipod just like my other.
When you click on it instead of display the files it just go to the properties and has two tabs, general and material.

Once more if anyone knows how I might be able to get these on my new computer, I would be very grateful

That has nothing to do with Toshiba but with your Ipod.

On the other hand; I have an iPhone and the management of the files it s similar iPod.
All files need iTunes and using iTunes, you can control files and move between computer and ipod

However, I recommend you to visit the forum for ipod problems
