Some mp3 players that require support software (drivers) be installed before plugging the manufacturer. Did you do that?

I have to remove them, otherwise the WMP cannot play. But how do I do this?

original title: MP3 will not play

    Hello

-What operating system is installed on your computer?
-What version of Windows Media Player do you use?

The ID3 header is a part of the file that stores the album information of the song (for example, the song name, artist name, album name and kind). This information is sometimes called a label. After you remove the headers ID3, Windows Media Player should be able to play MP3 files.

    Warning

Try to remove ID3 headers might damage the file and make it unplayable. Therefore, always make a copy of the file before editing.

If you try to play an MP3 file that contains compressed ID3 headers, make a copy of the file and then use an ID3 tag non - editing program Microsoft to remove or reset the file's ID3 headers.

  • Help! Weird ".» _"prefix attached to mp3s - will not play files except on computer!

I pulled a few mp3s CD today and the "rocket" refused to place them in alphabetical order placing rather a weird ".» _"prefix before the mp3s so that they appear on top of my other files. I'm unable to change the names of files to remove the prefix because it does not appear on the file names when the "rocket" is connected. The prefix only appears when the rocket is disconnected. While that which is irritating enough alone, the worst is when I click on play while listening through a headset, files with this prefix are refusing to play. Yet, when I connect the "rocket" to my computer and double-click on the slopes from the Fuze file folder, they play very well. The mp3s are 192 Kbps so that they are in the range of the "rocket" can play.

Anyone know about this problem and how to fix it?

  • Attachment MP3 will not play on the line of cellular data

I use RingCentral to my office PBX, which sends me voice messages by email as an mp3 attachment. Since the last update to iOS, I can't listen to these attachments on my iPhone 6s unless I am connected to WiFi. I checked all my settings and can not find everything that's out of the ordinary or that would interfere with playing on the cell data. I recently turned on Wi - Fi help, so I wonder if that has something to do with it, or is this a bug in the last update? In addition, it gets weirder. If I go back to the office and connect with a Wi - Fi connection, then turn off Wi - Fi and use only cell data, then I hear the attachment.  So strange! Any help, or just a bug until a patch?

Try going into settings > cellular > and under cellular data using for please be sure that the music is set on IT.

  • Qosmio F750 - 12 p / BD - RW Pioneer BDR-TD04A - Bluray discs will not play

    Qosmio F750 - 12 p
    BD - RW Pioneer BDR-TD04A
    Windows 7 Home Premium

Problem: Bluray discs will not play. CD will play.

History: I did a clean install of Windows 7 and then installed 60 all the drivers from the support site for this laptop model. Or at least those that would install. Interestingly, the driver of Toshiba Bluray would not install. the installation process stated "player not found on your system" or something like that.

What works the device currently is a 2006 (?) Microsoft driver.

Clues? It's the second Toshiba laptop, I had to (second-hand), and they both had this problem: DVD players do not play DVD right from the start. Very annoying.

    Update:

The "Bluray driver" mentioned above is just the own DVD from Toshiba software. It is not a driver. And it does not find the optical drive Bluray on my laptop!

    - The Bluray optical drive will play DVDs, but not of Bluray discs. I'll borrow an another DVD Bluray at the local library, to ensure that it is not a disk failure.

-The Wifi does not work ("network controller driver is bad / missing")

    - I probably deleted the hidden partition that contains the Toshiba "system recovery disk". I have re-installed Windows and written too. [You are supposed to press "0" when the power, but it does not show the Toshiba Recovery console. I scoured the hidden with a freeware Windows partition and there is nothing usable here.]

It is a stupid economy, not providing a system restore disk AND do not provide drivers download work. (The drivers offered on the site are simply updated). It makes the laptop value much less long term and creates bad word-of-mouth over time.

The only station I have is to buy a Blu - Ray external drive and perhaps a Wifi dongle. Crazy.

  • Video will not play, and yet made audio.

As the header says, all of a sudden I'm going to work on a project I've never had a problem with and does not play the video; It is frozen where the cursor is located. Yet the audio plays. I tried clearing the cache, clear cache first, been everywhere on the internet trying to find an answer, of course the India is closed right now, so no help here, not that they really give it anyway. So I'm asking if someone could have known this and figured it out despite Adobe. I'm on a PC with Windows 8 and terabytes and terabytes of storage; plenty of space left on disk, too. As I have said; This was never even a hint of a problem that just started up today. This beats even more Adobe 'beta test' problems that they bunch we sheep unsuspecting. So I'm completely stumped. A price for the one who knows what is happening with that! It's a new one on me... Thanks in advance to any engineering knows the answer! :-)

OK, I found the answer by myself and would like to share with those who have the same problem. It turns out that the saved workspace can corrupt audio which allows to play, while the video stays frozen. The solution is to change the workspace. Go to the WINDOW, after you create a new workspace style and save the new workspace. Fixed a problem. In addition, if there are already a number of other saved workspaces that involve videos you can just change that one and it will be fixed. Delete the corrupt workspace. That's all! This was discovered through a simple process of elimination, which proves that really bugs to surface from anywhere without intuitive reason. I hope this helps you!

My Media Player 11 Vista has become corrupted and will not play mp3s.

Where can I download Vista Media Player 11? I've looked everywhere on the Microsoft Web site and the internet, and I can't find Media Player 11 for Vista.  I can find Media Player 11 for XP but not Vista.  What is happening with this?

  • Windows vista Media Player will not play mp3 or wma files

my windows vista Ultimate 64 player will not play any of my wma or mp3 files. said that I did not have the codex of right. but wma and wmv are windows. What's new?

    Hi rpwerner,

Please use the forum for Support of Vista,

This is a codec package from Microsoft you want to download to see if it will be useful.  Also, try to update your Windows Media Player and Windows Update to get the latest version of the codec required to play the type of media.

You can also use your favorite search engine to look for codec packs available on the web to help you read the content.

  • Windows Media Player will not play mp3 or mp4, but Windows and YouTube work OK

When I go to a media file (.mp3 or .mp4) and click on it, I get a message
Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file.

By clicking [help] and follow the signs, I see that my computer has two devices in the "Sound, video and game controllers" section, both have the status "this device works correctly.

I get Windows sounds normally (startup, etc.). Can I play a clip from YouTube and videos that I prepared myself with Camtasia.  However the same video will not play when I click the .mp4 and Windows selects the default Windows Media Player program.

    How can I fix it?

    Thank you, Robert.

    Hi Robert,

It looks like .mp4 files are not supported by Windows Media Player.

Video MPEG-4 can be encoded and stored in an .asf file container by using the tools of Windows Media and Windows Media Encoder. You can then read these files with Windows Media Player. For more information about Microsoft and MPEG-4 support, visit the Microsoft Web site at the following address:

You can search your favorite engine and download and install the codec that is compatible with the operating system.

  • WMP will not play dvd - r with the video on this subject:

Audio WMP plays well. But no video. My panasonic dvd player (about 4 years) there will be no more. A friend told me to go on a free website, www.filehippo. to download a "fix."
