  You have to solve this problem with Ubuntu and support from Sony. You are probably
  need to remove Linux and Linux boot loader and restore if Windows startup

  Ok. So this is my first time even dealing with this kind of question, and I'm far from being a technician... but here goes!

  I've had my laptop for about a year now. Bought new and it worked like a dream so far. I have not changed the habits of navigation on the internet (I stick to the who's who and my e-mail and minecraft) and I know that if I do not understand what I'm about to UN/install I do not touch.

  But recently, I dealt with it blue me testing out of no where. So I did what I did with my counter top and it wiped, and then is come to this site to re - install the drivers needed to make things work properly. I download the BIOS and it forced me to down load a previous version that was not compatible, but when I try to replace my web cam Cyberlink and try in the flash player, it will be closed, or it will blink a screen telling me to check the 'dsk chck. I don't know what it is and I'm afraid to go anywhere but this site to ask because I can't even install my anti-virus software.  Help? Links? Advice? PLEASE, I BEG YOU!

  Try the following.

  Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at the esc you key start Notepad to open the Start Menu.  Select the BIOS (usually f10) and under the Advanced or the Diagnostic tab, you will find the possibility to run tests on the hard drive and memory.  Post back with the details of any error message.  If there are error messages, do not continue with the procedures described below.

  If the criteria above, try the following.

  In the Menu start, open the all programs, open accessories, right-click on command prompt and select "run as Administrator".  In at the prompt, type the following command and press ENTER.

  sfc/scannow                (Note that there is a space between sfc and /)

  Let the entire process, then the output type and press ENTER.

  Then, click on the Start Menu, click computer, left click Local disk C once to highlight, right-click Local disk C and select Properties.  Click the Tools tab and then click on the button "check the drive for errors.  In the next window make sure that both boxes are checked, then click Start.  Right plan the audit on the next reboot of the system, and then restart the laptop - this process can take several hours before the load in Windows.

  On his recommendation, I recalled PC assistants. The first tech I talked didn't seem to know what he was doing, so I hung up with him and sent their support line and ask them to address these problems or I would withdraw the payment from my credit card. Almost immediately after sending the e-mail, another technician called me. Unknowingly, I had all ready filed a dispute with my credit card company. I intend to cancel the service, but I am still concerned by some spyware detected on my computer. What is the best way for me to handle this? How can I get authenic proof that I was definitely scammed and I should report it to the Internet Crime Center? Using my computer for a few basic daily functions, must not be so stressful!  Any constructive guidance would be greatly appreciated!

  Either these so-called "Microsoft" Tech companies want to sell you a worthless software, or remote access to your computer to try to steal your credit card and bank information and also achieve an identity theft on you.
