  I just did a clean uninstall / reinstalling the Nvidia driver, and that seems to fix the problem. Just somehow install / reinstall was not enough. I had to go directly to the site for a new driver package.

• Problems with Mercury GPU CUDA

  Hi, I know that the hardware is supposed to work with the Mercury playback engine as I have used it before on the same platform, the significant change only I can think of so far is that I'm now running Windows 8 and I used to work on Windows 7.

  In any case, the problem is that if I enable GPU rendering for mercury reading, my monitor goes black and does not display anything, the viewer of clips and where project elements are stored only show also black images. Sound works fine. Use software mode however, the image is fine and the program works perfectly. Is there any solution for this?

  The nVIDIA GeForce 590 has been added by editing the cuda_supported_cards.txt after GPUsniffing the name and the properties of my GPU. Even as I did on Windows 7 and should not be a problem.

  Does anyone have a solution for this? Or at least know what could be the problem?

  Many people had to upgrade their nVidia driver to get CS5 cs6... so it wouldn't surprise me if a Win7 for Win8 change also requires an update of the driver

• Vista on Portege M200 - some problems with nVidia display driver

  I recently decided to update and perform a clean installation of Windows Vista on my Portege M200, now that Toshiba have released official drivers for this machine.

  Everything works fine, EXCEPT the nVidia display driver. I have the following questions with the driver Toshiba provides for this machine (97.52 version):

  (1) when the screen turns off to save power, the backlight does NOT turn off. Screen turns off but the backlight will stay lit.
  (2) for the recovery of the standby mode, the backlight is OFF. You must use the shortcuts Fn-F6/F7 to change the backlight level manually, that will bring him back.
  (3) external monitor does not work (with command Fn + F5 or nVidia control panel). External display is always blank.
  (3) video playback in WMP is very chopped (a secondary concern for me).

  Is there a chance that Toshiba could finally get a updated driver that would set out the? That would really make this machine fully functional in Vista.

  I bought a VR Deepoon E2 helmet last week. Installed according to the instructions. Home screen don't watch in headset for installation appears to succeed. I just bought a new computer, and now I moved Windows 8 Pro and it is running on Intel HD 4000 k 3770 i7, 8 GB of ram on motherboard Asus Sabertooth Z77. I turned off the computer to insert the Nvidia GT 440. Then I plugged to the computer and turn it on. After Windows 8 logo, screen went black and nothing, I can just wait and then shows black screen, nothing happens. I reinstalled Windows 8 manytimes but nothing. Then I installed windows 7 and it worked, without a driver, then with the drivers. But I can't have Windows 7 because I did not so much license, I really need. If anyone knows what this problem may be, please tell me. (Monitor and nvidia are connected by HDMI).
