  I need your help!

  then a few days ago my wifi started playing on my acer Windows 8 V5-552 and I have decided to update the driver for the card. I did this by unistalling and re-istalling the driver for the Atheros AR5BWB222 map I downloaded from this site acer very (it turns out it's the same version), now I have no WiFi connection at all (I am currently using ethernet cable but I need to be mobile around the House!). Troubleshooting does not help and said "there could be a problem with the driver for the WiFi card" and when I click fix problem there is no NOTHING (why did even give the option?). Did a system restore and that didn't work because of my antivirus and there still nothing when I turned antivirus off the coast. Then I read a lot of forum preveous questions on this driver and no solutions helped, maybe because everything is last year.

  I really want to avoide a factory reset as I have some programs here that will be very difficult to acquire again.

  If you're still here after my speech, I am greatfull and also want your knowledge and advice about this superior! Please help me!

  What antivirus program you are wrong with turning off? I know that some may be stubborn. If the AV program refuses to turn off this feature with a selective startup in MSCONFIG, then you can try to uninstall it completely in the PANEL. Then try to restore to the previous new date

• Problem with smart updates using the WiFi, modem OK

  I started having problems with my WiFi on my Toshiba Satellite laptop.

  I can not access any program Smart Update - Windows, Norton, Spydoctor, inheritance etc..

  These Smart Update programs work very well if I'm connected to Dial-up but not wireless.

  I checked my Norton Firewall settings - doesn't seem to be an indication of a problem here.
  I disabled my firewall program - no change.
  I tried the drivers updated - no change.
  I uninstalled the other software spy/advertising programs and checked my registry - no change.

  My Internet is fine - I can always check email and browse websites - just the Smart Update function seems to be affected.

  I am running Vista and have updated and installed all the files system through my modem connection. I use Norton 360.

  Any suggestions?

  Since it is a machine relatively new, instead of hurt for hours to fix yourself, why not just let HP fix it - for free!
  
  You must contact the HP Customer Support directly so they put you in contact with HP Tech Support to see what they can do on the diagnosis and repair of your machine remotely.

• Problem with timeout when connecting to wifi

  Although my laptop connects to other networks wifi (unsecured), it does not connect to my wifi network at home. The error message says that the wireless card has failed due to timeout. The Atheros 5700 card reports that it works correctly. I tried several fixes suggested as the reinstallation of the drivers, etc.. Microsoft asatap adapter has disappeared from the list of cards and will not reinstall.

  From the description, seems that you are not able to connect Wifi for home secure Wifi network.

  1. what version of Windows you have on your computer?

  2. it worked before?

  Method 1: You can try a system restore to the date that it worked:

  a. go to Control Panel

  b. open the Device Manager

  c. uninstall the network card and restart the computer

  I am unable to use Yahoo Messenger when connected to Firefox. Mail works but not the Messenger. I received notice of message, but when I try to open the message and answer, nothing happens.   I have a Dimension 4600 desktop computer. I have Comcast Cable modem I use to go on the internet with. It is a direct connection as well. For some strange reason now I can't connect through the ethernet port. There is a big red X that says "a network cable is unplugged". I use the USB port on my modem to connect to the internet right now. I get the message that the network cable is unplugged, even if there is an ethernet cable connected. I have run all the diagnostics test and they all passed to the network except the link test. I did the update driver/all uninstall/install disk. Bought new cables and everything. Nothing. It may not be the modem or the cable b/c I can still play games online via Xbox 360 using the ethernet port modems. The 2 LEDs are on. Green is on and there is a flashing orange. I guess that I have a faulty port. Any suggestions or ideas?

  I have a 15 HP Pavilion age of 4 week t-n200 laptop is Windows 8.1.64. I'm having a problem with the NIC Intel N 7260. All of a sudden the laptop will show it does not connect to all networks. It will show a yellow triangle on it and will not connect to any network adapters. I tried to "roll back driver" and who worked initially, but now he has started with the yellow triangle and lost functionality. Now "roll back driver" is grayed out and is not an option.   I'm sorry to hear that you have a problem with your Intel N 7260 network card.  I'll try my best to help you solve this problem!

  I suggest you reinstall the driver for Driver Intel 7260/3160 Wireless LAN.  Follow the procedure in this document using Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 8) restore the driver.  The steps are the same for Windows 8.1.
