• Satellite L750-201 - problem with update of the BIOS - preparation for Win 8

  I have a L750-201 and is eligible for Windows 8. Currently Windows 7.
  I thought that I would update to the BIOS (latest version 2.6) in the latest version (3.6), which has some relevant changes to Windows 8, I understand.

  I have downloaded the BIOS update file and run. I had several options. One of them was to make the update of Windows, and another was to create a boot CD to do at STARTUP.
  I created the CD and rebooted the machine with it. Everything seemed fine, but when the time came to Flash the bios I got the message about the battery must be greater than 10% and the power adapter is connected. If the BIOS update has refused to start.

  The problem is the battery was 100% or almost that I had just fully charged it. The power adapter is and powered. So whence the utility to update the BIOS get his info that the dough was less than 10%?
  I saw similar posts from other people, but the problem was usually that the battery was in fact less than 10% and that it was not charging. This isn't the case here.

  No matter, I thought, I can update the other sense through the windows.
  So I started the machine and took the Windows Flash utility. The system gave me the warning usual as planned and then rebooted the machine. He went directly in windows with the "Welcome" splash screen, and then stopped a few moments, then went to a black screen with just the pointer in the middle. I assumed it was something like the fairly active enjoy car light. However, after an age, nothing was. I could go back to the login screen by pressing the power button / standby machine and then turning it back on. My user has been locked, but I could shut down the computer and restart normally. Nothing serious happened. The machine starts very well and Windows does not normally, but BIOS remains unchanged.

  Anyone have any idea how to get the update of the BIOS to work? Seems I have to bypass the battery check or why BIOS thinks a battery of 100% is less than 10%.

  L750-201 satellite is part of the PSK6ME series.
  I wonder where you found the BIOS v3.60 for this device?
  The latest version of the BIOS seems to be v 2.80 - WIN

• Problem with update of the system after running a registry cleaner

  I am running the latest update of the 3.14.0017 system and after that I ran the McAfee registry cleaner (big mistake!), I now get "not applicable to your system of packages were found.

  I tried a system restore and restore failed.  So I uninstalled the update system and reinstalled and still get the same message.

  Services and the program SU "runs."

• Problem with the number of lines in the channel

  I'm relatively new to labview and I came across a problem that (I assume) can easily be resolved with your help.

  I need to create a digital signal to trigger a camera, but I have a problem with the configuration of my lines or exit lanes. I would not use that line output to trigger the camera. (I use a card NI PCIe-6353). LabVIEW is telling me that the number of lines in the channel does not have the number of rows of data:

  Possible reasons:

  Specified read or write operation failed because the number of rows in the data of a string is not the lines in the channel.

  If you use the digital waveform data type, make sure that the number of lines in the digital waveforms is the number of lines in the channel. If you are using Boolean data, make sure that the dimension of the array for the rows of the data is the number of lines in the channel.

  I got it to work by changing the "data format" "binary not signed" OR by plugging is not the "offset" for the Square Wave VI.  I think that the default "offset binary" data format works correctly if there is a negative value.

• Problems with sorting of columns and the number of lines in the report

  I'm having a problem with sorting of columns and the number of lines displayed in a report.
  
  This report displays the data correct, but if I try to sort on a column when I click on the column heading in the report returns no line... I need to click on the "go" button to refresh the report (with the column sorted now) in to display the data.
  
  Similarly, I display only 15 lines per page. If I try to view the lines 16-30, 31-45, etc., that it returns no line until I click on the 'go' button to refresh again.
  
  Has anyone else had (and overcome) the same problem?

  2 questions:

  1) are you using the elements referenced by the report page to filter etc.. ? If so, you're failing values of these when the loading of the page?
  (2) are you using PPR page through the results?

  If so, it could be a problem with the different types of session state, as Anton Nielsen blogged about here:

  If so, you can use calculations or processes to set element values in session state persistent during page rendering, as Anton mentions. In this way, when you use PPR page values will be available in session state and your report should work fine.

  If you bind components to a range of flow page bean. You must complete that it saves the State of the component longer than the life of the component.

  To change the value of the GET value of the component of the link layer and change it.

  You can try to disable the GPU performance by clicking on the icon of the rocket in the bar of the App, or on the top of the menu bar, deselect the box Performance GPU; You may also uncheck performance GPU in your preferences.

  I think that the issue should be fixed with the 19.0.1 patch.

  I regularly get a 'word' document on which I run a "FindChangeByList" that cleans and formats the text with a number of GREP/text searches.

  One of the lines of research converts a particluar to the text string to a paragraph style "Callout_3" (the most common legends).

  This style applies to paragraph NET, above and below the line, to create a block/strip of color that says text is reveresed.

  The problem I have, is that the style (due to the rules of paragraph), works well if the paragraph has x 3 lines of text.

  I have updated styles in place for any eventuality - Callout_1 (for the single line of text), Callout_2 (for x 2 lines of text) etc.

  I'm looking for is a script that can count the number of lines in the paragraph (once the "Callout_3" style has been applied) and then change the style accordingly the number of lines in each paragraph/legend.

  Any other thoughts?

  No, he needs to access real paragraph finds it to count the number of line of this paragraph. FindChangeByList Find/change regular strings together, and you can not search for a certain number of lines.

  ... Nothing. Because the style can be within a group, I wrote this little function. The findStyle performs a loop on * all * paragraph styles in the document, the root and in each group and returns the first style with the name that you provide in the function call (tested!).

  So if there is a 'Callout_1' style anywhere, it should find it... Are you sure you put the name at the top of the script? I've seen in a post later that it is actually called "Callout_1line".

• APEX variable for the number of lines of standard report?

  Hi people!

  Pagination to any report APEX, there is this "X-Y-Z" option, with Z showing the number of selected lines. I need this "Z".

  In my report, I have several filter options, and I would like the user to get feedback on the number of rows is selected as "X / Y", with there being a number calculated in advance and X number of rows returned. Now I was run all of the report a second time, by storing the count (*) result in a page item, but if there is a variable that already exist in the APEX (for paging) that would no doubt make things a little easier. I havn't found anything still looking, but more probably, one of the experts here knows how to access this value.

  You are supposed to be able to get the required information using the #TOTAL_ROWS # and #LAST_ROW_FETCHED # substitution string in the footer region.

  Note that for #TOTAL_ROWS # to work the report must use a paging system that calculates the total number of rows, for example "line ranges X y z (with pagination).

  However, the #FIRST_ROW_FETCHED # and #LAST_ROW_FETCHED # currently no change when I test it. These substitution strings are not compatible with the mechanism of updating now used partial page for pagination of reports, either this is a bug.

• Problems with XFA in the HTML5 Convertion in Livecycle server

  We work on the control of feasibility to make dynamic XFA form within our application to allow the end-user to complete and save the form.  We used LiveCycle Designer ES4 to design forms. Everything works fine with the PC but when tried to charge iPad form did not load at all.

  We tried the LiveCycle server to convert the file in HTML5 to render to the iPad. But it seems not neat in PDF.  Below the problems we know.

  1. 1 data binding doesn't work not for some columns but it works perfectly in version PDF
  2. 2. the tables are not aligned correctly based on the number of lines, the following table is overlapped on the table.
  3. 3. place the button takes the page URL WebAPI (used to record the input form) instead of save the content. When it is called from the PDF file, it saves correctly.

  Please provide any standard/guidelines for the design of the document which will be converted into HTML5 properly.

  In addition, we would like to know the price of the LiveCycle server and is there any way of available light server that has simply the XFA in the conversion of HTML5. Lifecycle server comes with a distributable license?
