Problem with XML

Hello!

I've seen all examples to the XML data in a datagrid with the resultHandler, but I've not seen anything that uses XML formatted like this. Just trying to fill a single row in a datagrid with information of the < iETL / > and with the help of a TabNavigator fill another row of data with the information from the < docstats / > and so on. Thanks for tips or advice!

  • Problem with XML and different line break styles

    I'm working on a project that is being developed by some developers Flash Builder 4.6 running in Windows and some developers Flash Builder 4.6 running under OSX. We have difficulties due to the difference of newlines between the two environments. In an .as file with line breaks in style UNIX is similar to the following code:

    var XML = < document >

    < item >

    < / item >

    < / document >;

    xml.appendChild (SomeClass.getXML ());

    SomeClass.getXML () is located in a file .as using type line breaks Windows and is similar to the following:

    public function getXML (): XML

    {

    var moreXML:XML = < anotherElement >

    < childElement >

    < / childElement >

    < / anotherElement >;

    Return moreXML;

    }

    When the XML object is serialized and written to a file on a Windows computer, it looks like this:

    < document >

    < item >

    < / item >

    < anotherElement >

    < childElement >

    < / childElement >

    < / anotherElement > < / document >

    Line for all outside anotherElement breaks are of the form \r\n. Line breaks it contains are of the form \r\r\n, causing thus the empty lines. I'm guessing that the odd line breaks are the cause of the strange setting indented, as well. None of these problems occur when XML is added to the xml file .as that employees style UNIX line breaks.

    Is it possible to force the Flash Builder to use UNIX on Windows style line breaks? Otherwise, there are relatively specific to this problem solutions? Thank you!

    Section clarified

    I found a setting to force a certain style of line breaks: window-> Preferences-> General-> Workspace (delimiter line of file new text). The XML serializes as planned today.

  • problem with XML within a class

    Ok. It is a set accessor function in one of my classes. It's supposed to load an xml document in a table when I called with the address of the xml document. When I debug I get the picture but there is no data in there.

    I'm sure I'm doing something really stupid is probably very easy to spot... Sorry - I'm new on this!

    Thank you very much!

    (I've included the code and the xml file in the code so you can see what I'm aiming to...)

    In the call from the bottom of the managers, members of the class are out of reach. You can solve this problem in several ways. In the code that you have posted, you can use a local reference to the class (the current object). In other cases, you can use the delegate class.

    Hey all,.

    I'm having a problem getting the information to display in a list of tile I created.

    public var TileList1dp:ArrayCollection;

    private void initData (): void {}
    TileList1dp = new ArrayCollection (tempXML.lastResult.asset.fleet);
    }

    I can watch by fire bug and see that I see the XML being received, but I do not see the data displayed in the application.

    I'll try to find an example of the results Manager will get the

    I know I'm probably noobing this problem but I'm still new and unsure of how to receive.

    Are you sure? What is the content of your my.cnf file?  You want him to have at least the following two lines:

    default-character-set = utf8

    (When I delete the default character set and line restart mysql, I get the same exact error message you see.)  When I put again, the error disappears).

  • Problem with xml zip code lookup

    Hey guys!  I am also new on the forum because I'm to AS3.  Needless to say, I need a little help here.

    I load an xml file that contains nothing more than a list of zip codes "valid."  Here is a sample of the xml data:

    =================================================

    zipCodes.xml

    =================================================

    <? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "ISO-8859-1? >
    < zip codes >
    < zip > 82930 < / zip >
    < zip > 82931 < / zip >
    < zip > 83114 < / zip >
    < zip > 83201 < / zip >
    < > 83202 zip < / zip >
    < zip > 83203 < / zip >
    < zip > 83204 < / zip >
    < zip > 83205 < / zip >
    < zip > 83206 < / zip >
    < zip > 83209 < / zip >
    < zip > 83210 < / zip >
    < zip > 83211 < / zip >
    < zip > 83212 < / zip >
    < zip > 83213 < / zip >
    < zip > 83214 < / zip >
    < zip > 83215 < / zip >
    < zip > 83217 < / zip >
    .. and so on.

    =================================================

    I want to happen is when a user enters a zip code, I need not to revert to a 'yes' or ' ', based on whether or not the postal code, that their entry is in the xml list.  So far, it only works if the zip they enter is be the last one on the list.  This indicates to me that he is not seeking the entire file, or has it perhaps need to search in a loop, somehow.

    Here is the code that works closest to what I need:

    =================================================

    AS3 code

    =================================================

    Stop();

    var xmlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader;
    xmlLoader.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, showXML);
    xmlLoader.load (new URLRequest ("zipCodes.xml"));
    var xmlData:XML;

    function showXML(e:Event):void {}
    xmlData = new XML (e.target.data);
    var i: Number;

    for each {(var enfant: XML dans xmlData.*)}
    trace (Child);

    var thisHere = textfield.text;
    If (thisHere == child) {}
    textfieldDisplay.text = "it worked."
    } else {}
    textfieldDisplay.text = "nope."
    }
    }
    }

    =================================================

    I know it's probably waaaaaay hurt, so I ask for help.  Thanks in advance!

    I leave you Brad, I tried to get my suggestion to work for you and for reasons unknown (Murphy's law at work), the approach to the use of 'indexOf()' will not play for me, except in circumstances where I have actually set one of the values in the table to the TextField... so I can't follow your request with a solution to my suggestion.

    If what you have is work for you, then what you could do is initially set the responseField to say 'no!' and if the value is found that he will replace that with 'yes '!

    One thing, you should avoid nesting of functions within other functions.  So I removed that but left the listener in this assignment for the button will not work until the data is loaded.

    function xmlLoaded(evt:Event):void {}
    bttn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, bttnFunc);
    }

    function bttnFunc(e:Event):void {}

    responseText.text = "no!"

    xmlEPG = new XML (ulXml.data);
    for each {(var objet: XML dans xmlEPG.*)}
    If (object == inputField.text) {}
    responseText.text = "yes".

    break; exit the loop as soon as is
    }
    }
    }

    Well, obviously, you have to adapt the style sheet to your case.

    What follows should be OK:

     'select D.CDPROVXXXX CODE, D.DSPROVXXXX DESCRIPTION,

  • Problem with parsing XML with html as part of the node content

    Hi all

    I am facing problem with XML parsin when the node has a HTML content, if the node does not have any html content then it works fine. Similar analysis logic works for Java Standard, but not for the Blackberry API. I have an obligation to remove not HTML content prior to analysis. As that would display in the browser.

                              String xml="" +
                    "<p> Dummy content </p> " +
                    "" +
                    "";
                              DocumentBuilderFactory dbFactory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
                DocumentBuilder dBuilder;
                Document doc;
                bis = new ByteArrayInputStream(xml.getBytes("UTF-8"));

                dBuilder = dbFactory.newDocumentBuilder();

                doc = dBuilder.parse(bis);
                doc.getDocumentElement().normalize();

                NodeList nList = doc.getElementsByTagName("disclaimer");

                Element activeTagElmnt = (Element) nList.item(0);
                NodeList activeTag = activeTagElmnt.getChildNodes();

                tagValue=((Node) activeTag.item(0)).getNodeValue();
                              System.out.println(tagValue); //This prints "<" with HTML content. If i remove HTML then "Dummy Content" is printed

    If I need to remove html content, then I would need to reformat the content according to the HTML as the newline to a linebreak.

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Thank you

    Sandeep

    I feel xml parser was mature enough to handle these characters if sills, you get the error explore CDATA. It might help you.

  • Problem with InDesign startup script does not import XML images

    I'm doing an XML import automatically from a startup script when a document is loaded. I managed to get most of the content to fill, but the images are ignored. Everything works, including images, when I do a manual 'Import XML' through the user interface or a manual script.

    Here's my manual script:

    var myDocument = app.activeDocument;
    var xmlFile = File('/c/Full/Path/To/data.xml');

    myDocument.importXML(xmlFile);

    But the goal is to do at startup. Here's my startup script:

    #targetengine "session"

    app.addEventListener('afterOpen', function(myEvent) {
       if (myEvent.target.constructor.name !== 'Document') {
       return;
       }

       var myDocument = myEvent.target;
       var xmlFile = File('/c/Full/Path/To/data.xml');

      myDocument.importXML(xmlFile);
    });

    Here is the XML tag for the image:

    <Image href="file:///C:/Full/Path/To/Image/02.png" />

    I wonder there is a problem with the 'afterOpen' event reminder, and it is the reason why it works manually using the same method, but not in the startup script.

    I solved it by avoiding the event quite listener:

    main();

    function main () {

        // create a path for a file object
        var curFile = File('/c/Path/To/file.indd);
        var xmlFile = File('/c/Path/To/data.xml');

        // close app if files don't exist
        if (!curFile.exists || !xmlFile.exists) {
            app.quit(SaveOptions.NO);
        }

        // open the file
        var curDoc = app.open(curFile);

        // import the xml
        curDoc.importXML(xmlFile);

        // create a new file object
        var pdfFile = new File(curFile.parent + '/' + curFile.name + '.pdf');

        // export to pdf
        curDoc.exportFile(ExportFormat.PDF_TYPE, pdfFile);

        // close app
        app.quit(SaveOptions.NO);

    }

  • Problem with pushing the attribute child xml to an empty array

    Hi guys,.

    I have another problem with the bet, or should I say, pushing data from an xml file to an empty array, as I stated earlier.

    During the xml_mc.onload, I can see the data, but after that, it becomes undefined.

    It seems that I couldn't find the solution on the net as well. I suspect that's not possible, but I'm not giving up.

    Please help me.

    Thank you.

    This is the code example:

    var monTableau = new Array();

    var xml1:XML = new XML();

    Xml1.ignoreWhite = true;

    Xml1.onload = function (success: Boolean) {}

    {if (Success)}

    var nodes = this.firstChild.childNodes;

    for (i = 0; i < nodes.length; i ++) {}

    MyArray [i] = nodes [i].attributes.name;

    }

    Text1. Text = MyArray [2];  to check if the 'name' attribute is visible

    } else {}

    trace ("could not load the XML");

    }

    }

    Xml1.load ("icons.xml");

    Text1. Text = MyArray [2]; I commented on the first text to try to display it again, and the result is not DEFINED...

    the XML would look like this:

    icons. XML

    < icons >

    < name of icon = "icon1" / >

    < name of icon = "icon2" / >

    < name of icon = "icon3" / >

    < name of icon = "icon4" / >

    < / icons >

    Thank you

    I do not understand your problem.  Table fill with data.  If you expect this second "text1.text ="show another thing that 'no set', it won't happen as you wrote it. "  This line of code is run before the onLoad function (code execution does not wait for loading files).  You want only to deal with the processing of the data, once the onLoad function he treated in the table.

    what setting I need to change in my xml or Flash to use unicode and langauges type characters in xml files?

    There's no problem with your xml code.

  • Problem with the size of ExtendedMap.xml

    Data Modeler 3 Production version.

    The logic model has about 70 of the entities and relationships, and about 6-7 fields by entity.
    Apart from the logic model, there is only one relational (Oracle 11 g if that's important) which is empty at the moment.

    ExtendedMap.xml takes about 7 MB in this configuration. It may not be a problem in itself, but it does not fit in our VCS ("too big").
    The question is: is this a normal size for this file or there is a problem with the design or something?

    I would like to know, if I can change the template in some way to solve this problem, before I asked an adjustment of parameters of SVN.

    Thanks in advance!

    You can remove it if there is no mapped relational model to logic. It will be restored on save next (small) and you can commit.

  • Problem with the loading of XML and xmlns

    I'm having a problem with loading an XML file that was created by Filemaker.  FileMaker will display an XML file by using one of two different grammars.  A poster of a standard form for the most that I can use with a glitch.  Flash CS4 AS3 seems to have a problem with the xmlns in one of the nodes.

    More precisely:

    " < FMPDSORESULT xmlns =" http://www.FileMaker.com/fmpdsoresult "> "

    ' If I remove the xmlns = " http://www.FileMaker.com/fmpdsoresult 'the file is loaded properly and I can access the different fields without problem.  However, when I go the xmlns =..., it will trace the XML properly but I can't access the fields by using the code below.  It drives me crazy!

    With part xmlns in the XML file, I get the following error when attempting to load the thumbnails files:

    TypeError: Error #1010: a term is undefined and has no properties.

    I need it so that the user can enter/change the data and simply output the XML file of Filemaker and then the Flash load the XML file not corrupted and displays the information requested by the user.  That is to say I might have the user open the XML file in a word processing application and have remove them the xmlns..., but it is rather heavy and not very user-friendly.

    I tried all the xml.ignore functions I could find, but it does not help.  I hope someone out there can help you

    Thank you

    Mark,

    The ':' is what we call a scope resolution operator. Using namespace allows you to potentially have two or more nodes that have the same name but a namespace 'different '. "These are normally specified in xml in the form xmlns:mynamespace ="http://myuniqueURI.com/etc"

    Normally, you would use the mynamespace:node by naming your xml nodes that are specific to this namespace.

    But the best is that namespace by default, when there is no real Prefixeespacenom: in the name of node as:

    That's how it is specified in your xml file, that is to say all the nodes without a prefix belong to the filemaker namespace.

    In actionscript, you navigate by using the scope-resolution operator and the variable that represents the namespace does not necessarily resemble the part "mynamespace" above. In your case the namespace used was the one by default (no), but a value has been assigned.

    To the question of the length, you must use the length() method, otherwise the e4x filtering seeks nodes named 'length' and creating a XMLList with no entry in there (because it's not). It is a common thing with other "Properties" that are expressed in the form of methods like children() and often take me when I started with the model XML as3.
