  • noise problem Windows movie maker 2.6 when recording in dv - avi format

I installed the filmmaker windows 2.6 on windows 7 Home premium. Everything works fine. When I try to record the final film in DV - AVI format, I get 5-7 seconds of noise very high height introduced where ever there is a change of clip. IE if I have 10 different clips in my film, I get this noise at 10 different locations in my last recorded movie. These are the places where begins a new clip. There is no such noise present when I play the project in movie maker is not present in the original source file (which is an avi file).

Interestingly, when I save the movie in any format as DV - AVI, (IE high video quality, local playback or any wmv file) there is no such noise introduced in the final movie. I used the same clips to make the final movie in windows xp using movie maker 2.1 and there was no question also in the recorded final DV - AVI movie.

So the problem seems to be only on movie maker 2.6 on windows 7, when recording in DV - AVI format (all other formats of work correctly). Clips of same worked well on movie maker 2.1 on windows XP, when recording in DV - AVI format.

I suspect that the video filters (in tools-> options) could be the reason. I checked and all active video filters are those in C/windows/SYSWOW64 directory, so there is no non-microsoft video filter.

Pls help as windows live movie maker (installed on windows 7) all blocks left and right and is basically useless because it can't record any movie to the end. Director of Windows 2.1 was the best choice, but it cannot be installed on windows 7. I can download the video to show what kind of flicker noise is there at the beginning of each clip. It is a volume high, shrill noise as if two things are rubbing against each other.

How do you have Movie Maker and what version is? I think that the new version 2.1 and it requires XP SP2. Make sure you have SP2 or a later version by right-clicking on my computer and choose Properties, then check the version in the general tab, under System.

You must also make sure that you have the latest graphics card drivers. Check the website of the provider for those.

This happens usually when the video file has
    compatibility problems with Movie Maker.

You can try the following steps but more
probably, you will need to convert the file to the
WMV format to make it compatible.

Reach... Tools / Options / Compatibility tab and
left click Restore values by default all the button / OK

No improvement? Try to convert it to WMV.

There are many converters available on the net... some
    free... some detail.

The following freeware converters are a few examples:

the Setup.exe from the file out of the folder and drop it on your
    desktop and install from there.

Once installed... Open Sothink and go to... Add the files button...
Find and select the clips you want to convert.

Next... in the encoding settings... Choose... Video credits.
WMV - Windows Media Video (*.wmv).

Choose an output folder and on the left, click on the button convert.

You can experiment with other settings later but
This should help you get started.

Next, after the download and installation of Format
Factory... you can open the program and
left click on the toolbar, the "Option" button and
"Select an output folder to" / apply / OK.
(this is where you find your files after they)
    are converted)

  • Have used Windows Movie Maker very well for months and now it stops just to work

OK, so I had a recent problem with Movie Maker. How original is that? For months and months I used it with only minor headaches. But I can't understand it and I spent hours to friction on this problem and the search for something. All Google tell me is to make sure that my files are in a format that is accepted! Duh! I use them very well until about a month ago.

After months of works very well, many of my clips imported media (especially. AVI and others. WMV) has decided to stop working one day. The video will not play, but the sound is very good. I re-imported the videos just to be sure, but no luck... He would not even show a thumbnail after I imported the.

Original title: what is the problem with WMM? Help, please!
I tried to look at the files in Media Player and got a black screen with audio complete.
I reformatted the. AVI files (using zamzar.com) in. Format WMV, but when I tried to import those, he would give me some nonsense. In any case, I tried to defrag my drive hard as someone suggested online (I have an old computer anyway) but I don't really think it helped.
It could be a codec problem (I don't know what would have prompted such), the Enigma is that SOME of my clips will play in the preview, but they stop working as soon as I drag them on the timeline. And I found one. WMV file in one of my old projects that will play in the panel mounting.
I even tried to save an unfinished project to my computer (16:9 aspect ratio, high quality NTSC). But I got an error message: "WMM cannot be saved to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the backup location is still available, and that there is enough available disk space, and then try again. "So I tried to save the recommended"best suited"on a blank CD and it always gave me this message
I hope this info helps (I don't know what most of it means):

That said, perhaps the following information will be useful:

The most common reasons for Movie Maker problems are...

    (1) source incompatible or damaged (video clips, pictures, music files).

    (3) projects that are too big or too complex for the system resources.

Try to create your project and find out whether there is a
    improvement.

If no improvement, return to the same settings
and left click Restore values by default all the button / OK.

    As for file formats...

Several formats are apparently compatible with

    Welcome to Microsoft answers forums!

    a. What is the exact error message that you receive?

This behavior can occur if an incompatible video filter is installed on the computer.

Step 1: To resolve this problem, start Movie Maker in safe mode, and then configure Movie Maker so that the incompatible video filter is not loaded.

Follow the steps mentioned in the link below.

    a. Click Start and in the start search bar type cmd, do a right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

    b. at the command prompt type regsvr32 wmp.dll , and then press ENTER.

Type regsvr32 jscript.dll and then tap on enter

  • Published images black & lost sound in Movie Maker

After about a 12-minute montage of video clips & digital stills, executives will start to Corrèze jumpy & then suddenly turn black. If I turn off the computer and reopen the filmmaker and then start the editing process later in the film, then the previous bad images are fine, but at a later time in the edited film different frames becomes black and exclamation warning signs appear on a large number of executives. Same as before but different images.

To try to solve the problem, I deleted the edited clips and video film. Then downloaded the film cameras a second time, attempted to change again and the same problem occurs.

I run scans on the computer and it tells me that there are no threats. I contacted HP the manufacturer of the computer HP, which is 18 months old. No one knows what is the problem. A suggestion was that the camera could have a virus. Is this possible?

I contacted Microsoft. After many conversations with different advisors who could not resolve the problem, the final counselor says that Movie Maker is downloadable for free from the HP Windows 7 computer, they service no problems with Movie Maker. Movie Maker was unavailable in Windows XP or Vista, so they have a helpline if you use XP or Vista. Yes, it's frustrating!

First... Yes... Movie Maker is free under XP and Vista...

In any case... If you provide some information that you may receive a solution.

What version of Vista are you running?

    How much RAM?

What percentage of free space on your hard drive?

Your system fully updated from MS Update and regularly maintained?
    (Cleaning disc, ErrorChecking, Defrag?)

Using Vista Movie Maker 6 or Windows Live Movie Maker?

What are your source (photos, video clips, audio clips) file formats?

You mention cameras (plural)... What are the brand names and model?

Several formats are apparently compatible with Movie Maker but most
    reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
    Video - wmv
    Audio - wav, wma, wmv
