  • Importing large .wmv in Windows Movie Maker

    Hello

It doesn't seem to be any major problem with the Windows Movie Maker program, because it is play other videos that I'm importing.  It can't import video that I converted from .mov to .wmv using Winff to 1 h.

Last night he just repeated does not...  Today it says that it cannot import the video [.wmv].

There is no problem with the .wmv because it plays fine in Windows Media Player.  There is no problem with the original video is.  I think the video is just too long or something.

It's very frustrating... currently .avi conversion for the heck of it, hoping that it will be important that.

    Can anyone help with this?

Vista Movie Maker 6 or Windows Live Movie Maker?

As a general rule, it is best if you create small film projects
Machine, but the .wmv file to import. It is possible that
    the conversion is wrong.

FWIW... just because Windows Media Player runs a file is without
ensure that Movie Maker will be compatible with it.

Might be interesting to try to convert the .mov with the following file
    Freeware SUPER:

    SUPER © Simplified
    Universal Player Encoder & Renderer
    http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Super
(the download mirror site is faster)

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

After installing the program GREAT... open...
you will see two small circles at the top left
corner of the screen... check the UPPER circle.

You can experiment with the settings
but the following steps should help you get started...

Drag and drop your. MOV files in the current field.

    Output container... Choose... WMV

Video scale size / no change

    Left, click the Encode button.

Choice: A Simple Profile / OK...

    Wait... wait longer...

(FWIW... I have better luck with video if I'm not
try to multi-task while a file is being converted)

When the file/s are converted... you should find the
in... Program Files / eRightSoft / Super / exit.

Or... you can type... CTRL + O.. o open the Save
Window and choose a backup folder.

    Good luck...

  • Can speeds of DVD - I play slower pre-recorded DVD - Satellite P20 801

I have a Satellite P20 801. I think to buy a DVD burner, so I can transfer VHS to DVD hardware. If I recorded it at a slower speed, would I be able to play on my laptop? How can I tell if the DVD on the P20 player can play different rhythms - assuming that's possible?

    Thank you.

    Hello

As far as I know that the recording speed is not relevant for play. You can save on the minimum or maximum speed DVD and the DVD can be played on your P20. My previous laptop was P20 and I never had no problem with this.
