Problems of acceso a 3.5.0,123630 desde vCenter esx host

He mirado los do logs y no hemos visto nada raro (well not miramos los connects correctos o no is detalla el problema).

Alguna idea?

Gracias

ESO pasa porque el SC the llena, o algun problema acceso muy mmeoria con esta nightclub. Hay algun agent of material are in service el monitoreo console?

Igualmente, you sugiero deshabilitar el CIM server desde el Configuration > settings advanced y monitorear Server para ver el if no pasa mas el problema.

  • The best way to solve this problem (internal vCenter, ESX host external)

The issue is that we have our virtual Center and our production ESX hosts on our internal network. We have another site of emergency in a remote network, but welcomed a public address with a firewall in front of her.  When I add the host of my vCenter she adds in fact very well and works for 1 minute, then disconnects. This is because the heartbeat may not respond to the virtual Center.  The emergency server will be 3 VMS host, 1 e-mail box, 1 website and 1 backup domain controller.  I only know the basics of networking, so I don't know what would be the best idea of tests.

I will apply to network engineers after that I know that would work well.

I should create a nat device for the server vCenter and which will resolve the heart beat question

I should have a set up reverse proxy, then change the esx host and change the internal address of the vCenter to the public address with proxy reverse?

Should I make the address pool which esx host has (about 10 external and public addresses) available to route between our internal VLAN?

Y at - it a sugguestion different with a better description would you recommend to solve this problem and better my future goals with the 3 virtual machines, that I intend to host on this server.

    Any advice is welcome.

    Thank you

Is it possible to Site 2 Site VPN? If Yes, then it would be much less complicated. Put ESX in DMZ with public IPs is not a good idea in terms of security.

  • Problems to use Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit on ESX 3.5 U3

I am having some problems with Windows Server 2008 R2.

I was charged with the creation of 2 new Windows Server 2008 R2 servers. We have ESX 3.5 Update3. I found that in my attempts to put an address static IP in the virtual machine, the system crashes. If I leave the adapter to DHCP, it seems to work longer, but this obviously doesn't work. Just to be in the IP menu type in IP (do not hit OK or apply again) will cause the console screen lock.

I found that since the release of ESX 3.5 U4 notes:

x 64 versions of Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 operating systems require Microsoft hotfix

x 64 versions of Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 without Microsoft hotfix http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950772 operating systems have a situation where the guest operating system is not responding and returns the following error:

MONITOR of PANIC: vcpu-3: SAY vmcore/vmm/cpu/segment.c:430

I was not able to find the error code in my ESX systems, so I can't confirm that I see the same question. I moved the virtual machine of 4 different hosts in the same cluster with the same results.

Here are the best true - I built the virtual machine from scratch and configured 2 GB RAM, 1vCPU and 40 GB slim HDD put into service. With no OS, I cloned this config for the 2nd of 2 servers that I need to install. I traced the two VM 2008 R2 ISO we have on our Image data store. Both installed at the same time. Given their Unique IP and Machine names and joined them in the field. Once that ended, I migrated my cluster Corp Server2 to my cluster off site for DR purposes. The only change in config is the VLAN on the remote cluster.

The two systems worked very well. As I returned to server 1 to start install application - lock. Reboot, login and lock. This is where I started to move the virtual machine to other hosts of the local cluster. I have found no point in troubleshooting, I'll just clone server 2. I deleted the name of the Server1 computer. Off of Server2, cloned it more to the local cluster. I then started without the NIC on so I could change the name of the computer, IP and add to the domain. This seemed to go well, I have been brought back online and start installing the application. Until I'm at the point of launch the installer app - lock.

2 on the remote cluster server works smoothly. I have validated the ESX host on all host versions to make sure I was in the same field of play on both sides - check. No other Server 2008 seems to have this problem.

I will delete and rebuild 1 server from scratch, but I don't see how I can do a clean install of ISO any different for the same hardware and best results.

I checked the link to the fix for MS, but article reference Server 2003...

Is there something that I am on?

Addendum:-I find it strange that although I have 2008 R2 installed, the drop down menu to comments what OS in VM config allows only to 2008 (64-bit) for the selection nearest you. If you look at the field Server guest operating system in a nutshell, it says that NT 4.0 is installed. Is this just a problem of display text with this version, or a cause for concern? I found everything all the R2 are displayed as NT4 in the Summary tab.

Corrections - it seems Server2 locks as well at the opening of the Server Manager window - I can see the "collection of data...» "downstairs. I had also opened the work center & gt; Properties window on top of the Server Manager window. VM has ceased.

Addendum - I found that R2 the boot safe mode with networking to adjust the TCP/IP offload to disabled results in a locked VM when in network properties.

2008 R2 is not on the official list of guests supported, and others have reported problems with it as well.

  • I have a problem starting up a Windows XP Pro Machine virtual Windows 8 host system (which has VMware Workstation 10.1).

I am new to the virtual machines.  For several months I've been running a Windows XP Virtual Machine in an old machine of Windows 7 with VMware Workstation 7.0.  The hard drive is having some problems at times, so I thought that I could move the virtual machine on a new computer that has an OS 8.1 Windows and VMware Workstation 10.  For example, on the Windows 7 machine, I copied the directory with all the * .vm files and pasted into the machine to Windows 8. But when I tried to start VMware Workstation 10 in Windows 8 machine, I got the message "this virtual machine policies are too old to be run by this version of VMware."  I went to the knowledge base and used the solution described here: I've deleted the lines of three 'policy' of the .vmx file and added the suffix .ancien to the .vmpl file, which actually disabled.  Now, when I try to start the virtual machine, the black screen appears with the VMware logo in the Center and everything seems fine, but Windows XP starts.  And logo VMware guard churning away as in a continuous loop.  It is not easy to stop.  The only way to stop VMware is via the Task Manager or restart the machine.

What must I do to get the Windows XP Pro VM to run in the new machine?

VMWare technical support suggested that I have disable 3D acceleration (VM > settings > view and uncheck the box 3D graphics acceleration).  The virtual machine starts now with some minor problems, but it is usable.  But by closing accel 3D turns, in the words of the Technical Support Engineer, David, that there is "a problem with the graphics card not imitate or through its capacity to the virtual machine.  In other words do not support to the VM guest 3D acceleration. "My next step is to make sure that I have the updated driver for the Intel HD Graphics 4600 display adapter.

    Minor problems are:

    (1) the virtual machine works best in screen mode reduced.  There are a few problems speed mode full-screen.

    (2) the VM will still work after switching on of the host.  But after execution of the virtual machine, if power you the virtual machine and the release of VMware workstation, then later, start the workstation, the virtual machine will power not.

To turn it on again you must out of VMware Workstation, disconnect the host machine and then reopen it in one.

  • Persistent problems with 10GbE optical QLogic - appears and disappears in vCenter

    Help, please!

We had a 10GbE card fail in a host vitural, 5.1 U1.  We have replaced the card with the same card, but cards network never appeared in vCenter.  After hours of fiddle with it, we have installed updated drivers and the vmnic is available again in vCenter for the host.  However, the card is not responding correctly.  Network cards are available, they are down, then they disappear, then they reappear and are available again.  This cycle continues constantly.  We tried to move the map in a different location, but it doesn't change anything.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

is this a HP box? Get the vmware downloads Qlogic drivers and install it manually. We had similar problems where the manual installation of the drivers helped us to solve.

  • Problem with networking when having multiple virtual machines on a single host

Since the implementation of ESX 3.5i server on PowerEdge 1850 Server I had network problems. It took a large upstream of the violin - do not do something specific - but finally I could persuate a VM to talk to the outside world.

Virtual machines have always been able to ping other virtual machines and physical NETWORK card to the host (with a static IP address only), however with a bit of deactivation/activation etc I could possibly get it connected. I have exactly the same symptomsusing the two Windows XP and Redhat, both with VM Tools installed.

If big, I can get the virtual machines connected, *however * every time I managed to connect a computer to the outside network, she will knock off either a return to the State where I can ping only the other VMs and Teddy.

I tried them in different port groups as well as in different vSwitches with a separate Teddy, but exactly the same problem.

I thought it was just my ignorance, however after thorough reading and wasting time trying different combinations, I started to think this is a hardware incompatibility or an ESX installation problem.

Please please please, if someone can help solve the problem, or diagnose if my suspicions are correct.

I enclose my last combination of configurations!

    Thanks in advance.

Run 'show port-security' on the switch and see what you have.  You can also view the current configuration of the port connected to an esx.  A switch will remove any doubt relating to port config differences type.

So currently, both of my USB 2.0 sockets do not work because no drivers have been installed.

I tried different drivers, but none of them worked. So I need some help here guys. Thank you.

  • QueryAssignedLicenses problem to ESX host licensed features

    Hello

I'm trying to get the feature list under license for a crowd of vSphere 4.0 by using the method of QueryAssignedLicenses via perl SDK.

I can get the License Manager object, but whenever I get the managed object 'LicenseAssignmentManager' it is not defined.

Here is the code I use:

    my $host;

    My = $host_views

    Vim::find_entity_views (view_type = > 'HostSystem');

    $host = @$ host_views [0];

    My $licenseSystem = Vim::get_view (mo_ref = > ($host->-> licenseManager configManager));

    my $licenses = Vim::get_view (mo_ref = > ($licenseSystem-> licenseAssignmentManager));

    My $licenseDummy = $licenses-> QueryAssignedLicenses();

And this is the error message:

"Cannot call method 'type' to a value not defined on line /usr/share/perl/5.8/VMware/VICommon.pm 1244."

I tried to assign the return value of QueryAssignedLicenses(); object directly to an object, but the result is the same and I think that the method cannot be called from the LicenseAssignmentManager' is not defined.

As shown on the thread: http://communities.VMware.com/message/1271444 , I tried with different methods, but all of them are not recommended for vSphere and I get a SOAP error.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Juan Aristizabal.

Connecting to vCenter, you are unable to access LicenseManager through HostSystem object, you must use Service content of the vCenter: http://www.vmware.com/support/developer/vc-sdk/visdk400pubs/ReferenceGuide/vim.LicenseManager.html

It is here that you will find in licenseAssignmentManager

  • Cannot add the ESX 6.0 host to vCenter Server 6.0

OK, I'm testing laboratory a vsan 6.0 cluster.

I have my running 6.0.0 esx hosts and vcenter server is 6.0.0 also.

I have the services platform on a virtual machine and vcenter on another. I was able to create a data center, then a cluster below.

Then I went to try to add a host to my group and I get this error...

Failed to contact the specified host (hostname\IP). The host may not be available on the network, may have a network configuration problem, or that the management on this host services may not respond.

Per this KB: KB VMware: Add a host VMware ESXi/ESX from VMware vCenter Server fails

I confirmed that my vcenter server and platform services server can see all esx hosts. From the vcenter server, it can ping the host esx and PuTTY can access all of them. I even installed the client and it can connect to all esx hosts. I used the netbios name, IP and FULL domain name and they all work.

I have only a single subnet, so this isn't a problem. DNS resolution works in all areas of both sides, vcenter esx hosts and host esx to vcenter.

    I am quite puzzled.

OK, after working with VMware on this issue, I think that I thought about it.

All my hosts are DL360 G6 servers.

My hosts are run the same build «VMware-ESXi-6.0.0-2494585-HP-600.9.2.38-Mar2015.iso» ESX Downloaded from HP.

All buildings are in trial mode.

After placing a call to VMware, they had me build some ESX VM, the services of the platform and the vcenter VM on an ESX host. We suspended because it took all day to go upward.

Once I woke up all the parts (sql server, esx vm, server platform & vcenter) in virtualization nested, I created my data center, then Cluster then added the ESX host.

The hosts added properly, no error. Then I remembered when I installed ESX inside a virtual machine, I am angry that the iso, I had the habit of HP does not work in my VM nested due to virtualized hardware.

Then a fire came into my head. We will rebuild all of the physical cluster but NOT use the CV provided the iso file but use VMware provided iso file "VMware-VMvisor-Installer - 6.0.0 - 2159203.x86_64.iso".

I did it today. I have rebuilt all hosts with the provided iso file VMware ESX...

Spun SQL Server vCenter, service platform, all VM VM VM you need. My AD & DNS VM are on another server, so he has been upwards all the time.

Connected to the web interface (yuck!).

    Created my data center...

    Created my Cluster...

    Add all my Cluster hosts.

    All of this worked!

Therefore, if you encounter the same problem, I'm plan to generate your with the provided iso file VMware ESX hosts and try it. In my case, the provided HP iso file didn't work properly for me.

I also downloaded the iso file of HP 2 other times to make sure and do a validation test and it did the same thing.

  • ESX 4 Local Storage Name Changed - can't change back

Recently, I move my VMware farm.  When I got to the top, one of local storage devices came back as "Local (1).  I've never had one (1) about this before and now all VMS are orphans.  When I try to change the name back to just 'Local', he says that there is already, which it is not.  Somehow, VMware has become confused!

Anyone knows how I can bring the 'Local' and the virtual machine without having to remove and re-add?  There are some VM who really "may not be moved" because of a restriction of the application.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

as you mentioned several blades, I assume you are also using vCenter Server.

How have you tried to rename the data store, by connecting to vCenter Server or directly on the affected ESX Server?

Maybe the vCenter DB contains an entry in database 'outdated' that block any operation rename.

I saw similar problems when I tried to rename a data store, while it is directly connected to an ESX Server, which was managed by a vCenter server.

I managed to rename the data store, but more or less immediately after it was renamed from the original name.

    So if possible, I would

    • disconnect/remove this host ESX to vCenter
    • connect the vSphere Client directly to the ESX Server
    • new attempt by renaming the local data store
    • Check the changes are permanent/accepted
    • Reconnect/add a return to vCenter ESX host

    Good luck

    Ralf

  • Active EVC cluster will not allow guests to reach...

Recently, I installed a new vCenter Server 5 (vCenter 4.x running on a 32 bit OS then upgrade was not an option-fresh install)

I had 1 main cluster in the datacenter with HA and active CVS. All 10 guests were very well in it.

However, when the new vCenter Server has been up - and after having removed the old vCenter data center, when I went to add the host to the cluster (same as before active EVC mode) 6 guests joined very well, while the other 4 could not.

Everyone knows this? Just a reminder:

    new vCenter Server 5

all 10 guests were in an EVC cluster well

4 of 10 guests will not join the same cluster...

    Thoughts?

    Hi xxx,.

    XXX wrote:

Another question regarding VCA - if I point the old vCenter DB, the new vCenter server will this cause problems because a new database created for the new vCenter? How should I approach the issue?

You can't do it now, you can not connect vCenter 5 dB in the version of vCenter 4, different schema, tables etc. as I said in my previuos reviews, you must migrate to vSphere with DB 5

    1. Start vCenter old (I hope that you did not remove or disconenct any server from there, right?)

If you do not make any changes to the OLD vCenter vCenter should be able to connect to the return ESXi hosts and apply all the settings (including the CTS)

And Yes, I take off (unplug the old vCenter servers... so I guess that reconnect the old Server vCenter is not possible.)

If you simply disconnected the old vcenter ESX hosts (not deleted) you should be able to connect to vCenter old with old settings, but as I said earlier, I don't know what will happed with a VCA base (because you creted clusters with different CVS on new vCenter.)
