  I have three BBs - the latter is a Pearl Flip I bought new on e - bay.  After spending several hours trying to find why I keep getting error messages when I try to set up my email, I realized that the phone only has 5 service books and doesn't have a book, 'Provisioning '.

  I tried to get online through my BIS to get new books, but I don't seem to be able to.  I have a SIM card only through TESCO which I think are using O2.  When I rang TESCO to clarify, they said that my BIS was BB!  I tried to explain that they were the carrier, but that the call was cost me at a premium rate, I dropped!

  I tried to enter PIN and IMEI of the phone the 02 and T-Mobile (the phone is locked to T-Mobile originally), but they do not recognize the numbers.  I am now stuck can you all please help? All other functions are fine.

• How can blackBerry smartphones, I set my default email invitations to meetings?

  As I was adding a friend and my lunch appointment in my calendar, I noticed an option to invite participants. So I asked her and she agreed with success.  My question is that, when I asked her, the invitation came from an email address yahoo alternative that I use often.  I tried to change the invitation to show it coming from my main gmail address, but could not understand how do.

  When you went to the BIS of the site the other day and the configuration of your e-mail, do you have checks on e-mail addresses?

  You can also make sure when you write an email, look at the top of the email you dial and select the e-mail account, you want to send with.

  Since last Sunday, my blackberry changes my time, and the clock works with a difference of one hour with a time source Blackberry.

  Before this Sunday, everything works fine.

  It is a PROBLEM for me because all my dates and meetings are planned with a difference of one hour.

  I hope someone can help with my problem - after two days I'm out of ideas.

  1.i am running a Vista 64 bit laptop with Microsoft Office 2007, including Outlook.

  2. yesterday, I bought a Blackberry 8330 and downloaded initially included DM, version 4.5.  After that some intitial hiccups with the synch I could synchronize contacts, tasks and Memo databases.

  3. once the initial synchronization, calendar download on the device, but the contacts file was messed up so I had to wipe everything and try again - since then, I am unable to synchronize the calendar, either from the device:

  I tried the following:

  I uninstalled and installed DM three times - the latest is version 4.7 of the SM with the Media Manager.

  I wiped the machine clean and started from scratch twice.

  I also removed the battery and then reinserted it.

  I tried both ways and a way synchs - none worked.

  I tried something enter in the calendar of the unit and see if it will synchronize in Outlook. Nothing helps.

  I spent three hours on the phone with Verizon and finally they told me this advice.

  I found a thread that has a solution to someone who seemed very knowledgeable.  His solution involved something to do with the two emails on the device, but as I started on this solution, my Explorer has frozen and poured out the browser - and now I can't find the thread again.

  Not a great day so far and I am hour # 14 without success - it is only today...

  Of course the second idea was the winner - went in the options and found that the timetable has been set for Face Book - after my first synchronization when the RM calendar and AddressBook do not have I also loaded who's who and she took over.  Thank you very much for your help and now I'm a fully functional crackberry addict.

  I just bought a Bold 9780 and try to set up the e-mail.

  Trying to Exite of installation, the phone freezes. I can't move to cancel. The only way out is to remove the battery.

  The other function in the running Configuration all OK (except for Blackberry messaging, but who is because no e-mail account has been configured).

  All other functions allow me to exit the right way.

  OK so I had downloaded Opera mini 4.2 and iheartradio and slacker radio and they all worked perfect for 3 days and then all of a sudden, they don't work. I timed out connections and even google maps app on my phone usually connect. The only app that connects to the internet is the BB browser (the one that looks like a globe of aureole around it). There is no other applications running causing an obstruction of. 6.8 GB is open in memory, so im puzzled? Someone help me please Im racking my brain trying to figure what it would cause. The last time it worked was listening from morning to the Slacker, then went to lunch trying to get onto the opera would not connect, then I'm on the BB browser, so it does not connect with any other app HMMMMPH.

  Understood the problem, I had a few memory leaks. Here's what I did:

  It is a database file that stores information for the applications downloaded/installed. Even if deleted still stores information about them. Use of the DM to clear it.

  Go to backup/restore > advanced > bases > content store (on your Blackberry Desktop Manager)

  Choose clear database. (Content store only)

  TADAAAA! It cleared up 3MB of space on my phone and everything works OK!

  I had the same problem when I first tried to synchronize. The problem for me was when the BlackBerry Desktop Software has updated to Version 6, it left the old version - Version 5 - on my computer. If you go into the Control Panel on your computer and uninstall the Version 5 and try to re-synchronization, it should work!

  I'm guessing that whenever I slide my phone to the top of theres only a kind of contact fault because when I do, the screen goes black, as if locked.   I have a Blackberry Bold 2 e-mail accounts (personal and business). Recently, I upgraded my Vodafone contract for only part of SIM and was able to keep my old SIM card. My personal email works fine but the business Edition should be re-activated. Instructions were to validate my password via the Blackberrry using the configuration or via the browser on my computer icon. Both options have failed because of the following:

  BlackBerry: received message that Blackberry Enterprise server has not responded to my request. An error has occurred. There are 5 possible reasons being given and I do not know how to rectify one of them.

  Browser on my computer: Incorrect ID or password. Made several attempts with different entries (don't know if my ID is my e-mail address and password for that or my Blackberry).

  Can anyone suggest how I can do this move? Thank you.

  I think you need to talk to Vodafone to ensure that your data plan still includes services / BES-level... such is required for full use of BES.

  You should also talk to your BES admins... they, well, all control.

  If a battery pull reboot is unable to resolve, then please try again as mentioned:

  First on your homescreen to Options > device > application > then scroll down to the World App delete App World from there. After it perform a reboot of pull battery as mentioned on the post. From your BlackBerry browser or type www.blackberry.com/appworld then click download again.

  Please try and see if that solves your problem.

  Sometimes when I'm in an application and want to click on one of the list of the menu items (for example, delete), when I click on the menu button, which appears are some of the icons on the home page.  (I'm really tired of looking at this little Penguin...).  If I persist, I can usually get the pop-up menu option, but it's boring.  I'm sure it's a software problem.  I had this problem after a while on my first lap.  I had to replace the one because of other problems.  I used the switch device Wizard to transfer everything, so I guess he also transferred everything that is causing this issue.

  Everyone knows about this problem?  Any ideas on what to do?  I don't want to reinstall the OS - I'd rather upward with the problem.  Thank you.

  Hi again!

  The BBKey/Menu button has two functions.

  (1) to bring up a context menu of the application, you are

  (2) to bring up the Ribbon app-switcher (a list of all your applications in the course of execution so that you can change quickly from a different application...)

  The difference is how long you hold down the key. For 1, it is a support and quick release. For 2, it is down. Sometimes it gets bad, but with practice, you'll be able to get what you want most of the time (not 100% but... I always get a wrong result sometimes).

  Hi - I hope someone can help me with this:

  I have synced my Bold 9700 with my office yesterday and the Office Manager asked that I have to perform a software upgrade for the device.

  When my BB 9700 had fully charged this process, there was a completely different interface and a lot of my settings were changed. I did not have enough time to examine in detail all the changes, but the most annoying is the loss of my 'classic' ringtone I went into the menu for ringtones, which seems to have lost weight considerably from the previous version. The new series of rings are not to my taste and there is nothing like ringing of old boy available. Rings of the closest only once and the volume is not enough - I already missed several calls as a result.

  I'm with O2 through the Carphone Warehouse, which the customer could not attend yesterday.

  Grateful for any advice on how I can get my ringtone back - and also curious to know why the BB the new ring tones are good enough for this new version. They are declassified in my opinion.

  someone had problems with the display of the words/text when you type an e-mail or text message? This just started happening to me on a week where the text seems as if someone cut the bottom of half of each letter (i.e. him 'y' now looks like a 'v'). Once I hit the button send the text in its entirety will display correctly, but as I type you can see part of it. I couldn't find someone on the Board who had similar problems, but someone else has encountered this and know how to possibly fix?
