  You the problem with SD cards are certainly related to the software I think that your drivers/utilities are installed isn't properly (in order) or on Vista may miss something.

  I've seen many reports of users first Elements 7 running successfully under Windows 7 64-bit and Windows Vista 64-bit in the 64-bit operating systems 32-bit compatibility mode. But see the AdobeTech Note on the subject:
