Problems of network with 715W

For months (seems like years?) I had to power cycle regularly my printer, the PC and the modem/router to restore network connectivity.  More recently (now) connectivity is dead, even until I can't connect using a USB cable.  If I try to print a page of test via a USB port, it goes through the motions, pulling a page from the paper tray, abruptly resets and get the blank page on the output tray.  I tried without success with several resets of the router, different channels, power levels, etc.

Anyubody other similar problems?  Of course, I had also just replace my black and purchased 2 new black cartridge and a color cartridge to avoid missing (victimized by this one at Christmas while they were not in stock!)

After spending over an hour on the phone with Dell, call of the Canada, getting bounced to half a dozen different representatives in the United States and then back to the Canada even once, he ended it would cost more than a little troubleshooting only so buy a new printer (not DELL).  I managed to get a RA number to be able to return the cartridges, that I just bought.

Then I called my provider I had problems last week with my network which I think might be related.  After about 15 minutes with them, they found where a framework had been modified caused place ended my problems.  Even if they are not 'officially' supporting printers, he worked through the configuration with me and you have my printer works again 100%.

Note that network has been properly validated:
    SQL> SELECT SDO_NET.VALIDATE_NETWORK('ITALY_NET') FROM DUAL;

It seems that you have probably set user_defined_data 'Y', but do not fill your data defined by the user to the user_sdo_network_user_data.

    Follow these steps:

    select network,user_defined_data from user_sdo_network_metadata where network = 'ITALY_NET';

If user_defined_data is set to 'Y', you can set it to "n" then IFN will no definition of user data search in user_sdo_network_user_data.
If you intend to use your network user data, you must set user_defined_data 'Y' and
fill your user data information in user_sdo_network_user_data.

    desc user_sdo_network_user_data;

You can get the user to more data information form the white paper in ndm_whitepaper_11gR2 under the Section of the data defined by the user.

Drivers: Latest from Linksys site (v4.9.90 setup.exe download)
Programs of security software: Comodo & Panda Cloud Antivirus Firewall
Configs of security software: uninstalled, installed or disabled, and installed/enabled

    DETAILS OF THE PROBLEMS:

No wireless network is detected on the computer with the installed adapter WUSB54GC.  Cell phones, printer (located in the same office) and game console, receive positive signals / have no connectivity problem.  With a new installation of Windows (i.e. the BONES cost installation before using each method) I tried to install the unit using the following methods: 1) using the Setup program on the CD-ROM included, 2) using the last program (drivers) site Web of Linksys, install 3) manually through the device with drivers from the Disk Manager and installing 4) manually through the Device Manager with the newer drivers from the Web site Linksys.  In addition, I tried with the firewall disabled/uninstalled software.

I had some success using the Linksys Wireless Manager program that is included in the installation program.  However, it is only if I choose the option 'connect to the hidden network' when the Wireless Manager is ran in the last step of the Installer (no network is detected the case).  The quirks are that the network is not hidden, and after Setup is complete, I can see all the wireless LANs with the Linksys Wireless Manager (no need to check the option hidden network).  After a few diagnostic tests, I think that the Network Magic software that is installed in quiet mode with the Linksys software is at the origin of the problem.

During the detailed above method that allowed me to connect to the network, I used the firewall software to observe that connectivity can be established only if nmsrvc.exe, a component of the network Network Magic/pure software platform that is installed silently, is allowed access to the network.  After this program to access the Linksys Wireless Manager network can detect networks normally and connectivity problems disappeared.  After he logged initially I can even kill the process, its assistance process and the program manager wireless, still maintain connectivity.  I also thought about this magic (AKA pure networks platform service) network installation two other network protocols that when disabled preventing connectivity.  With certainty the adapter only works if I finish the complete installation program by using the hidden network option and continue to use linksys wireless/network magic software later.

I'm trying to understand why the Network Magic software is necessary to detect and use all networks.  As I said originally, I tried just to install the drivers through the device without success Manager.  The adapter is configured on a machine Pentium 4 of 2001, and this software supports 40 MB of precious CPU cycles and memory.  I want to connect to my wireless network and use the computer without software bloated slow down the computer even more.  My own conclusion, after all these tests are that my router needs the network magic to work properly for some reason, but if that's true, I would at least use Windows connects to the network as Linksys Wireless Manager uses 30MB RAM itself.  Of course, it's more a problem advanced if I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read all this and make their contribution.  Thank you.

I think that the most appropriate statement would be that the WUSB54GC has some compatibility issues with Windows XP SP3.

Specifying the age of the available Linksys drivers I did some research and discovered that the WUSB54GCv3 uses a third party (a common practice), the Ralink RT2800UD chipset.  Latest Ralink drivers for this chipset are over a year newer than the official drivers from Linksys.  They require just a few reconfiguration so that they work with Linksys WUSB54GCv3.  With the updated drivers comes better compatibility and performance often.

Once I installed these drivers updated the device could detect local wireless normally, and I was able to use the Zero Windows wireless utility to connect to my network.  I think that others with similar compatibility problems will have the same result.  For more information and links to these pilots updated already visit reconfigured: http://sites.google.com/site/linksysupdateddrivers/.  There are not official, updated drivers for many other Linksys products here.  Credit for the drivers and the Web site goes to this person: http://sites.google.com/site/linksysupdateddrivers/about.

  • Problems of network with Ubuntu 10.04

    Hello

I've been running vmware on Ubuntu 9.04 for a while with no problems (host Ubuntu 64-bit with 2 guests, 1 32-bit Ubuntu and Ubuntu 1 64-bit).

I've recently updated my Ubuntu to 10.04 and ran into problems with vmware, I followed the instructions here (http://www.marcosorfila.com/site/?p=380) and managed to get Ubuntu works with VMware 2.0.2 and my guests are here. Everything starts fine, except that I got the Firefox issue with the console. To work around this problem, I can connect to the console using my computer laptop windows and Internet Explorer, so I'm happy on this front

My network uses NAT and it worked well with older versions. If I connect to the console on two comments I ping the host or guest, but for some reason, my host cannot see my guests. I spent the last 3 days, google search and I can't find anything to indicate how to solve this problem. The two guests are versions of server with no windowing capability and I normally rely on ssh access from the host, but it does not work either.

My host is using a wireless internet network interface and this includes the IP 192.168.1.3, subnet of VMware is on 192.168.194.x

Can anyone offer any advice to get access to my guests from the host?

    Thank you

    Klunk

I managed to find a solution to this. I need to use a patch different than I used initially. Details can be found here.

Two physical machines have connectivity, no problem, Pc1 and PC2.

Virtual machines have two connectivity with DC IP 172.17.0.205 and also DC for two machines, nslookups works OK.

There is no ping between machines on the physical PC1 comments, well not exactly I have ping of W2008 in W2003 but not for W2008 W2003, there is no firewall and no antivirus, no, default configuration, I tried to uninstall W2008 and install the other W2003 and no results, so there is no problem of OS Windows.

I'm trying to change the configuration of the network, tried to bridge, host, nat, custom, I tried vmware workstation version 6.0 and 6.5.3 and don't find any solution.

    Any ideas?

Is there any antivirus running on the guest operating system?

  • Problems of networking with the new configuration

I install a new system and have a few questions that have been bothering me and can not find answers to.

ESX Server #1 has a Service Console to 172.25.10.1 and this is the IP address of the area of physics.

I have a box on its own subnet/switch (vSwitch1) iSCSI using 192.168.x.x address and it is connected via a switch to two ports on each ESX box.

What I don't know, it's what to use and where to put the gateway on this vSwitch1.

Sorry if this question seems basic, but this is my first kick in the implementation of a system.

    Thank you

    Rob

    Hello

Are you talking about the default gateway? In this case, the default gateway remains with the first port of SC. You don't need to configure any 'bridge' for anything on vSwtich1. Your vmkernel gateway remains with VMotion.

You should be able to ping and vmkping your iSCSI host, it's everything you need to make this work.

    Hi Nabhani,

    1. The modem is compatible with Windows 8?
    2. Have you installed the latest version of software HUAWEI U8651T?

This problem could be due to problems of compatibility with the modem or the device itself. I'll get you the link and see if the modem and mobile phone are compatible with Windows 8.

  • Network problems intermittent management with more than 1 works ESXi

    Hello

I had problems since installation with our 2 x ESXi 5.5 nodes running on a Dell VRTX system.

If I had to run 1 ESXi nodes on its own, it works perfectly, no problems what so ever, but as soon as I start the 2nd node they network for the management network connectivity problems.  However any virtual machine that you are running on them have no problem at all.

The easiest way for me to check it comes to ping the management network and it will be on one of the nodes timeout, then it will randomly and knitting on this node but timeout on the other, they will never return a ping at the same time.

If anyone has experienced this before? I fight to see if there is a problem with the installation on the ESXi hosts, the network Dell VRTX or our NetGear switch.

I tried a lot of solutions and been through the different pages of VMware KB but can't seem to find something that suits him.

The network Dell 8 physical ports are all in one LAG with 2 nodes added, I tried the distinct lag, but that made no difference, I am focusing now on if it is a parameter of VMware to see where that gets me.

That's how the two nodes are configured.

    vmnet.JPG

    Solved!

Finally, I spotted the problem, and VMware technical support fixed it for me.

The MAC address of each management network was the same!, for some reason, the host of the 2nd got the MAC address of a NIC to host the premiere, don't know how its possible but VMware support restored all of the network settings from scratch and it picked up the correct MAC and works.

Thank you all for your suggestions.

  • Problems of wireless with my Satellite A505

    Hello people,

I have a Satellite A505 which uses a Realtek RTL8191SE wireless network card. Recently, I had connectivity problems with my home router. This configuration used to work perfectly, but recently, I had a problem where I won't be able to connect to my router wireless access point. Reset the adapter does not solve the problem, or don't restart.

I found that my router reboot solves the problem, I am able to login after the reboot of the router. I have not had this problem on any of the other devices or laptops in my house and never had this problem until last month. I tried to do a factory reset on my router in order to ensure that some recent changes in our setup of the router were not to blame, but the problem persists even with a clean slate.

    Ideas for what to do?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    >... and never had this problem until the last month or more
Do you use WLAN driver from Toshiba support page?
I ask this question because I noticed that under Win7 driver for this wireless network card is offered as optional update. Maybe this update is installed, and now you have this problem.
If possible, try to roll back OS a few weeks back and check if the problem persists.

  • Network with A60-155

Having recently acquired this laptop, I tried to transfer files between it and my desktop (os w2k pro sp4) which is already networked with 2 other computers (ME and 98) in the House. Seems the laptop refuses to cooperate.
I can ping 127.0.0.1, no problem, I can even ping IP of my desktop computer, but the laptop will not ping itself. The same office it detects my home network, but cannot access it. I have a light green and orange when ping of the desktop computer. I installed the latest drivers realtek for local networks (device drivers everything apparently works well)
With the Office when this is the case I could uninstall the internet protocol (TCP/IP) and put things back by reinstalling, in XP this option is grayed out.

Any suggestion would be appreciated as I am running out of ideas?

    See you soon

    Eddie

    Hi Eddie

I guess you have a lot of experience with computer networks, and as you can see this sometimes a strange and inexplicable things.

I'm sure that all the settings are good, but you can also try to connect your laptop directly to the desktop (peer to peer). On this way, you can check if it is possible to establish the connection.

    Hello

I have problem connecting WiFi with my laptop Tecra A8. When I opened my laptop, it does not connect to the wireless network.
I tried several ways to solve this problem.
I updated for active connections, then I click on the Connect button after you select my wireless LAN, but it doesn't connect.
Or I restart my computer, but it doesn't connect.
However, it connects to the network wireless in anytime after about 15 minutes.

Also when I tried to connect to the network wireless at home, but I couldn't t connect. I removed the password for the connection. Then I connected without any problem.
I wonder that there is no problem with installation? Or my wireless card doesn't work?
    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

According to the statement, all looks like that you try to use a password for encryption wrong!
