Problems of the system restore on Satellite L500

Recovery disc Toshiba product to retrieve the system on the new hard drive in Toshiba L500 PSLS3A - 04M 002.

During recovery, Windows has complained of "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file" - file is LPCFilter.sys.

Also when you set the drivers, Windows made the same complaint about the Realtek High Definition Audio driver and a filter driver Virtual WiFi (from Microsoft Corp!).

After the restoration, if I start Windows normally, the Windows Startup Repair automatically starts with a title "your computer was unable to start. Startup Repair takes a while and then comes up with a message "Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically.

If I press F8 at startup and choose the option "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement", Windows starts without any problem.

I thought that it might help to an update of Windows, but when I click on the "Check For Updates" button I get a message "Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running." You may have to restart your computer. "When I look in the Services, I see that the service is running.

I don't want to press F8 whenever I start and don't think it's a good idea to do it anyway and would like to be able to update Windows.

I'd appreciate any help.

You created this disc on your own or you are using the original disk from toshiba?
Do you use it for the first time?

Hello cyberterp. I see that you are having problems to restore your data from backup disks. To make sure that I understand you were able to make the recovery of the operating system, but the data you have saved in the course of the process you're trying to get now?

Check the bottom of the twelve disc and make sure that there are no scratches on it. If there is even the smallest scratch to find a local store that will shine the disc for you; This can allow you to read the data. If discs are in perfect condition and then either media are bad or there was a problem (unnoticed) during the backup process and it is unlikely that you will be able to recover the data.

  • Satellite C40D-C - problems with the system

I recently bought an a toshiba satellite C40D-C Series notebook PC as my old satellite - essentially - is dying. After you connect to the internet, I tried to download AVG Antivirus on my computer that I don't have - and never - trust McAfee anti-virus that comes with the computer. Every time downloaded AVG then restart my computer, the computer goes directly into the automatic repair system and doesn't let me do anything but to reset or restore. This has happened even with completely removed McAfee. I've been on AVG directly today (January 15), and they have to do remote set-up for me - with the same results. Yes, I'm aware that McAfee is a selfish cry of a system and refuses to acknowledge any other antivirus, but that this issue happens even with completely removed McAfee shows clearly that it is something that Toshiba has worked in the system. I can't even disable the automatic repair tool. I have to be stuck with a McAfee antivirus which, moreover, does not yet or is Toshiba will make an effort to help solve a problem they caused?

Why this computer isn't allowing AVG Antivirus work? And why, after each attempt to download AVG, the computer goes to auto repair whenever I shut down or restart? Is this a problem with the system or something, Toshiba has done on purpose?

Hi all! I'm trying to restore my HP Pavillion 1650 XP at an early stage a system restore starts fine but... When I get to the screen just after that I selected the date to restore, but before it will re-start and I click Next nothing happens. Please completely read this broad message about restoring the system and begin by the two scans mentioned in the last part:
You are a Service Pack behind (you should be on SP3).
Have you ever used the system successfully restore in the past?
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..
What is the issue that you are experiencing that you think that the system restore will be remedied (or you are just convenient)?
Some tools Anti Virus 'protect' your system so that they will not restore the system work properly.
For example, if you use Norton/Symantec products, you will see a message like this:
Restoration incomplete. Your computer cannot be restored...
It is also a popular Symantec problem (well, I'll be polite and call an "undocumented feature"...), they wrote an article about it:
According to what you use for malware protection, you may need to disable the product temporarily, do the system restore and then turn the products light up again when the system restore is complete.
Sometimes you need start your system in Mode safe and so that your protection programs are not running, and then do the system restore.  Tips from Microsoft in some of their articles that if the system restore does not restore your computer, start in Safe Mode, and then run the system restore.  It works for some configurations.
System Restore is sometimes so afflicted or Restore Points are suspicious, the best solution is to reinstall your system restore.  This will remove the old Restore Points, but sometimes it's the only way to fix a broken system restore.  You don't have to reinstall XP, only the part of system restore.
That can leave you with your problem of unspecified origin that you hope the system restore will fix (using a system restore is not equivalent to 'fix' the problem though).
Give these ideas some consideration if they apply to you.
Sometimes malicious will afflict your system restore to prevent you to find and remove malware.  It would much rather you trick into thinking that you need to repair or reinstall your XP when it is not necessary.
No matter what you use for protection against malware, I do so and then only begin to solve any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs can solve any problems:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
It can be uninstalled later if you wish.

Important: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Pavilion 2000: Using the system restore

I used the system restore in the past and I know it took a few hours to complete with good results, as it eliminated the problem. Last week, I used the restoration of the system, the screen turned blue and the restoration began however this continued for more than 3 days!  I was unable to use my laptop for so long. I saw a blue screen with an icon swirling in the Center. Miraculously, the day 4, he came back to life, but immediately began to update the apps I had checked to only not to do. It took an extra day. Actually, now it's back to normal. I am now afraid to use the restoration of the system again. What I've done wrong?

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum.

Could you provide your full computer model - information can be seen from the service tag sticker > > http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Miscellaneous-Topics-Read-Only/Advice-for-asking-the-quot-Very-Best-Question-quot/td-p/83280 ?

Could you confirm your OS - is this Windows 8/8.1 now?

I see your previous thread in the attempt to upgrade to W10...

I'm not sure about what you were wrong (if anything), but

System Restore is a feature of Windows that usually takes minutes (30 minutes max) in full, not hours, not days. It restores the Windows registry, files/settings of the system to a previous state and is generally quick.

Do you mean the system recovery or system reset/refresh?

These are different things. These restore original Windows or format partitions on HARD drive - it can take an hour or 2-3 max but not days.

If these (especially system restore) lasts days, there is indeed something wrong with the operating system.

    Looking forward to your confirmations.
