Problems opening Captivate 5.5 after the promotion of Canadian artists
Hi there forum,
When closing a 5.5 today Captivate project, he asked if I wanted to save the file. I said yes. The backup procedure, the project started and the progression of Captivate box appeared as he went through all of his techniques of compression etc to close the project. He finished recording and closed my project folder and the progress box, missing, but just before the hull of closed real Captivate completely out of my screen all of a sudden my laptop blue-armored.
No problem, this laptop has had a few before TCTC during its lifetime, (not much, but it happened) and then restarts and starts ok. Only this time, Captivate 5.5 does not start. Big problem! Just to confirm, I've been using Captivate 5.5 for a few years now, never had problems of memory PC or similar and Captivate 5.5 performed seamlessly on this laptop for the same amount of time. I also have administrator rights.
OK, so restarted the computer ok. Am going to open my file project, and within 2 seconds to open my file .cptx I get a windows error saying Adobe, "Adobe Captivate has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. "Also on this message box is the standard"Tell Microsoft about the problem", a Debug button, the send error report button, don't send button, and also" to see what data this error report, click here"---> then I click and open another window with then gives me the error signature.
Said from the window of error signature AppName: adobecaptivate.exe AppVer: 5.5.0.257 ModName: cpdatabase.dll ModVer: 5.5.0.257 Offset: 0002c3f6. There is an option to find out all the technical details on the problem that opens just the channels and channels of information like a log that really means nothing to me. OK, so I closed it. In addition, the Debug button does nothing, so not really sure why it exists... it's like a false hope, lol.
Okay, so first of all, I thought I thought that my .cptx file has been damaged during the process of backup/close when the PC crashed. So I went to open a project different .cptx file to see if it worked, but unfortunately it didn't, same error pops up. Then I sailed in c: / / Program Files/Adobe/Captivate 5.5 and I tried hard launch the adobecaptivate.exe file from there. NUP, still the same error.
OK, while I restarted my pc a couple of times to see if it would refresh all my directories and tried again, again, same error on any file from Cap5.5 to .cptx.
Then I was thinking to find a suitable system restore point and try that. Returned one, then two days of restore system without success points. Same error when opening my files .cptx.
Then install thought to reinstall Captivate 5.5 on the existing, thinking it might be damaged file in the directory of the executable, and if all goes well a new facility would correct the problem. Makes installation, rebooted and tried to open my project .cptx file. Still the same error appeared.
Was really bad now. Press forums. The only other thing I could find via a brief search has a solution to remove all fonts to remove from the directory of c: / / Windows/fonts as previous problems had reported problems with third-party fonts. OK, so deleted all fonts that I have and then tried to open my file .cptx. Yet, the same error occurred, but this time in a police different, ha! Redo all my fonts as it wasn't too the solution.
Then I tried to open my Captivate 5.5 project file .cptx with just Captivate 5. OK, Captivate 5 opens, but then I get the error about cannot open the file because it is open elsewhere etc... so I put that down to the backward compatibility and Cap5 will not be able to open projects Cap5.5. But at least now I know for sure, Captivate 5 opens and works. Tried that several times just to make sure, so it is certainly a problem of 5.5.
Otherwise, my only hope was to try to uninstall 5.5 Cap completely and then reinstall 5.5 all together, but I thought I would check here everything first to see if there is a much simpler solution.
So here I am now, hoping someone may have ideas for me. In my opinion, I've exhausted all reasonable to my own skills of PC and knowledge to deal with this kind of problem, so I really hope I can get support.
I am pleased to send screenshots, log files, or even to join a remote desktop session to get this sort. I use all authentic Cap5 copies and 5.5 with serials real all on a real laptop, and Yes, my problem is authentic
I'm a little stressed I have some deliverables by Monday and I know that it's the weekend!

Problems opening Captivate 7 for Mac after installing new hard drive
Hello!
My HDD recently crashed and I need to install a new hard drive (OS x El Capitan, version 10.11.13) on my mac. They re-installed Adobe Captivate (I use Adobe Captivate 7 for Mac), but now the software and files that I created using the software will not open. Initially, I received an error message stating that I had to install a new version of Java, but even after I did it, it will still not open. I click on the link in the finder and it bounces on the taskbar at the bottom for one second, then disappears. I tried to restart the computer, but it does not help.
Can anyone help? I need it immediately for work!

I suspect that the reason is the operating system. Even the Captivate 8 was not compatible with El Capitan, I doubt that is the case with CP7. Only CP9 is compatible with El Capitan.

Problem opening files PC created on the latest version of CS5 on Mac

We´re a creative team in my company of four people, three users of mac and a pc user. Recently we have all subscribed to the creative cloud so that we always have the latest version of CS5, but there seems to be a problem with all the files published or created by the PC user.
We have (mac users, all three) I tried to open the files either created or edited by the PC user and we told us that this was created by a newer version and that it is not possible. Try to understand why this message occure when all three Mac where updated with creative cloud after the PC user.

If so, there should be no problem.
If someone is using cs5 to try to open a file created by an application of 2014 cc, you will see the problem you have described.

Problem loading my BootCamp Partition after the partitioning of the disk again

I have a problem that I can't find everywhere are talking about here. Everything worked well. My BootCamp partition ran out of space. I wanted to increase the size of the partition, because I really have a lot of space on the Mac side.
I ended up searching and following the procedure here:

"1) back up all your files (optional, but highly recommended)."
(2) using the disk utility OSX resize MacintoshHD partition unallocated space leaving as much as you need to add to the bootcamp partition.
(3) set the Bootcamp startup disk and restart the mac.
(4) in Bootcamp with Windows running launch Mini Partition tool and select the bootcamp partition.
(5) choose the option "expand" to extend the partition using all unallocated space.
(6) the program prompt restart you the mac to apply the task, the cause is not possible while the partition is mounted and windows running.
7-restart the mac and then automatically Mini Partition tool will do the job a form of "graphics like msdos. »
I'm in step 3, and that's when I started to have a problem. I resized my Mac partition to have about 100 less GB. Did step number 3, but I got this black screen that says something along the lines of "bootable device found - no. Insert the diskette and press any key any." You know, the message that is displayed when the software that allows the system to boot is not found.
I had to restart, and then press and hold the option key. It's weird. My Mac partition looks great, but the BootCamp partition isn't here. I loaded the side Mac upward, and I can still see my Bootcamp partition in the finder window. I can go in, see all the files and everything. I always choose Windows as my boot target drive. It just won't load.
How can I fix?
1 Please take the Mini tool. It's a total disaster. Should be prohibited on Macs.
2 Please after the release of the following OSX Terminal commands. Do not change the disk partitioning any further.
diskutil list
Cs diskutil list
sudo TPG - vv - r see the/dev/disk0
sudo fdisk/dev/disk0
The "sudo" commands will prompt to enter your password, and there do not appear to come back. You can also see caution against improper use 'sudo' and the potential loss of data due to an "abuse" of the order.

Problem with XNET start VI after the creation of sessions
I have a timed loop sending CAN messages via XNET screws. It works great, but I always lose the very first message. It matters little, I send the first message immediately after you create the XNET session or after a few milliseconds.
The attached screenshot shows the initialization of my four sessions XNET. Although I am starting before the session with an XNET start VI, there is without success to get the first message.
It seems that the sessions/CAN (selectable cards and HS CAN) interfaces are initialized only after the first call to write XNET. XNET write seems to imply XNET start (see documentation), but the appellant XNET start manually after the creation of sessions does not help.
What I'm missing to get the interfaces online and ready before you send anything?
I was able to solve this problem because they did not actually XNET screw sorry for this post.

Shortcuts do not work and open with box appears after the virus
None of my shortcuts work, a box to choose which program you want to use to open this always appears. The only way to open a program is to right click and select the administrator rights.

Uncheck the option in the tool pane of base, 'open documents as tabs in the same window (requires restart) '.
