  First 13 elements should give you excellent results with STROKE in 1920 x 1080 video.

  I've never had this problem before. Today when I tried to import some. MP4 files to the large external hard drive, where the video was recorded with a GoPro HERO3. Half of the records import in first 12 only audio and video is not displayed. It seems that files that have a. THM files which accompanied them. For some reason only half of the files on the seemed to have one. File THM that accompany them.  I have re-installed first, and that did not help.

  In post 11, I indicated that I have had no problems to work on your GPO30006.mp4 in first 12 Windows elements. I thought it was the example of the file that would incorporate audio nothing for you in the first of 12 elements.  You have now said that this GPO30006.mp4 was one of the files without a problem. So, good news, we agree that it GPO30006.mp4 present in the first 12 items as a file supported video and audio.

  Your GOPR0005.mp4 file that you confirm the problem (only audio import in first 12 items) file has now been considered.

  1. There is no problem it play in Windows Media Player or QuickTime Player. And I'm not picking up on any significant difference in the reading properties, MediaInfo or gspot programs, comparing it to GPO30006.mp4.

  In the first 12 items, after you import the file in the active project, I think I have picked up on the heart of the problem. I propose that it is probably creating the timecode in the camera or some unexplained glitch in the reading of the first elements 12 of time code of the file. See the screenshot below and notice the display of the time code below thumbnail of the assets of the project for

  b. GRO30006.mpg4 (works)

  c. Handbrake converted 'a' (work) .mp4

  

  My suggestion is to hold the hand brake GOPR0005.mp4, just go to the video tab and set to

  Video codec: H.264 (x 264)

  Rate: Same as Source

• I have problems to import DNxHD files in first - ideas?

  I'm really stuck... I recently shot about 5 hours of footage of helicopter of the coast here in Cornwall (United Kingdom) by using the helicopter companies sony HDcam.

  Unfortunately as I do all my work on P2 and CF cards I don't have the equipment to capture images from of HDcam tapes.

  I used a guy associated with the helicopter company to take images from strips and place it on a hard drive that I could pick up and change. He was convinced that the best bet is to encode the files in the avid DNxHD codec - and that I would be able to import and edit first. I assumed that he was right because I always managed to import the files, .mxf P2 card with no problems at all.

  Anyway to get to the point - I got the hard drive earlier in the day and the Prime Minister is unwilling to play ball at all - I get the message "the file has an unsupported compression type" whenever I try and import it.

  I downloaded the AvidCodecsLE to my mac - but no joy...

  Any thoughts would be much appreciated

  Ah, I see what he was doing. He captured the HDCAM tapes in the Avid, which captures images in an envelope of MXF files. It does not really matter the codec; all Avid captures are MXF files. What he did was give you captured files, which you can tell by the hodgepodge file name and extension MXF. He probably took right to your external drive.

  Unfortunately, even if the codec is DNxHD (probably), first will not work with MXF wrapped DNxHD. first works with MXFs, but only if they are camera generated such as a P2 or XDCAM camcorder. Had exported QuickTime MOV DNxHD encoded, that would be another story. First'd crack those opened without problem.

  About the only way you will get in these files is to open up with a greedy and export the necessary QuickTime files. You can also try After Effects, if you have access to it; I had some strange and unexpected things like this before. If it works, you can configure comps for each clip and restore them to a usable file first; With DNxHD QuickTime is still probably your best choice.

• Why won´t LR CC import mp4 videos produced by first pro CC

  LR will stop just to import (mp4 h.264 codec).

  I'm running a 64 bit xp with the master suite model, when I try to import a single psd file in first, I get an error message stating not supported format or corrupted file. Also another problem that I have is to import MP4, it simply can't. It's all about a fresh new machine that may be lack of codecs or something like that. • LR is important only the first 5 pictures

  I'm trying to import my pictures from my Canon EOS1000D but LR import only the first 5 pictures and said then he couldn't read the others. So I close LR and reconnect my camera. Then I can re-import only 5 photos.

• Problem with importing my second SD card

  Hi I have a problem when I got my first card sd and afte the construction standard and previews smart, I import my second it starts but stops.

  Does any one knowes why?

  Are you sure that the previous import has finished.

  Have you tried to restart LR before the second SD card import. Should not take more of 15-30 seconds to close and then reopen LR.

  I am new to Adobe first CS_5 (usually use of the CPF).  I have problems to import still images.  Even if the images are all different and have unique names (I'm importing .jpg), every time I have import the images that they ALL convert the image even when I drag them to my timeline.  So, when I look in the project - any image area, I click on, they are all the same (but with their original names).  Anyone know WHY this happens and how I can fix this problem?  For the life of me, I can't understand it.  Thank you in advance for the noob.

  It's definitely weird! What are the names of the jpg files? The only thing I can think is that if they have the same base with sequential numbering name, then perhaps they are imported into several instances of the same sequence of image.

• Problem with imported PluralEyes synchronized sequence

  Hey everybody,

  I'm trying to help a friend with a problem he has with a synchronized in first CS6 PluralEyes sequence import. I wonder if anyone has experience this problem before or can point in the right direction on where to start looking for the problem.

  It's the email explaining me the problem he sent:

  "Let me explain first of all the workflow." It is a heavy project to split into 3, corresponding to our three main characters. We'll be working on the 3 characters separately and then import our sequence published in the main project to create our great cut. The question is when we import the pluraleyes synchronized sequences of our project of character for the main project using the option 'import the sequence selected.   It seems that your screen displays some graphical anomalies when you connect to your user name. I would use these troubleshooting steps in the following article on the resolution of screens:

  Restart your Mac in safe mode to reset the default display resolution.

  If booting safe mode doesn't resolve the problem, reset your Mac NVRAM and SMC to reset the video ports on your Mac to their default values.

  Hi Hector.

  You need to restore your old Lightroom Catalog backup, and which should be containing all your images and changes you have made so far, however, it can display as missing images that can be moved.
