  We have upgraded to 3.2.1 hoping to be able to use the API for x 01-10 globals series and 'addParam', also the JavaScript works $s and $v.
  
  At this moment I have a javascript (lookupObjTypeID) page header called by an onBlur event in a page element. I also have an on demand (lookup_value) application process.

  When I run now to point 3.2.1 ajaxResponse is simply 'not found process.' I'm sure that this means that the application process that is not the lookup_value argument
  be found. The only other 'process' it could be is: APEX_UTIL. JSON_FROM_SQL, that seems likely.
  
  This could be the cause? The javascript code uses an obsolete API? A message in the firefox error console says the following to www.json.org/json.js:

  Either way, x 01 is not defined by the ajaxRequest.addParam ('x 01', $x('P3_OBJECTTYPE_NAME').value); ... unless I don't know how to access the value to display in an alert message. I tried the two alert ('X 01: ' | wwv_flow.g_x01); and alert ('X 01: ': ajaxRequest.getParam ('01 x')); After using the addParam method. both are null or empty.

  Make sure that your process type is on request.
  Just do same process is correct, type your name in capital letters in each where it is required/used and of course in actual process

• Calling an external javascript variable in captivate

  I need captivate to reference an external JavaScript variable to check if its value is 1 or 0. If the value is '1' I need to display a button, if the '0' button is hidden.

  The reason why I need external is I want the customer to be able to change the value of the variable without having to republish files.

  I know not if I add a JavaScript file and folder to "program Adobe Captivate 9 x64\HTML\assets", it will be always published whenever captivate publishes, the question is how Captivate to refer to the variable in the JavaScript file?

  Ive had a problem that I can not work.

  I started working with javascript, so when I want to listen to excerpts of the document, I use F12, which works correctly.

  Also, when I use captivate to publish my projects directly on my site it works fine also.

  However when I publish locally, when I go to view the output, javascript does not seem to load.

  Pretty funny. The same file when downloaded on my site and then seen it works fine.

  What is the cause? And I can do to fix this?

  Mathew, you must add the location of publication record as a trusted location in your Flash Global security settings.

• Customer insists we stop using Captivate

  Well, as a result of the 'Registration' problem that I described in the recording section of this Forum, looks like I become a buyer of Camtasia. Our client needed some modifications on a Captivate movie we provided earlier, and when we tried to do the work, we found that Captivate screenshot functions refused to work more.
  
  We had this same problem awhile, but he disappeared for a while... now it's back and we cannot find any solution, and the client time is NOW. The customer had seen things Camtasia-produced elsewhere before and insisted on the fact that we go to this product instead of Captivate.
  Sigh... a new environment to learn and in a very limited time.

  The desription of your problem, I wonder if there is a conflict with a process, software or hardware driver that loads at startup. Unfortunately, there are so many variables to try to keep track of.

  I guess you're not not (using Captivate) reading or writing to a shared resource. (The fact that 1 Cap still works well might be a clue on is is not the case.) In addition, work with XP and not Vista?

  If you have a lot of time (and perhaps another machine), you can try a clean system of loading then load Captivate 2 and try a simple capture of 40 slides, or so. If it worked, I suspect a problem with another piece of software that runs in the background, something seemingly harmless. Verification of this process is run can give a clue too.

  If you ever discover what can give you this problem, please report it here. I could save someone else some pain.

• Problems using Vimeo in widget Web object and error message "What is happening here?"

  Using Captivate last, 8 on Windows 10. I have five minutes 5 HD mp4 videos uploaded to Vimeo Plus account. I used the Web object widget interaction with the embed from Vimeo on 5 empty slides code in my Captivate for learning project.  I've extended once the widget and drag it to the Timeline for a few seconds before the actual length of the Vimeo video. Between each slide video I put one or two quiz slides. Publication and download a Web site online that everything seems to work fine, except that sometimes a video will stop halfway through and the Captivate after project will move immediately to the next quiz slide. It's random. In the test with multiple users, a person can spend all the videos OK but the other may have breaks from 1 to 4. When I tested it online, I found the same erratic behavior.

  I tried to put a button 'continue' after the video on the timeline. Video can still stop playing after a few minutes, but the blade now continues until the button is on the timeline. So it does not solve the problem.

  When I saw one of the 5 videos shipped I get this message "what happens?", but I can see the first frame of each video in the background, and however, it always seems to start OK.

  

  That means Adobe by "Please install Flash or upgrade your browser." I have 10 Windows that says I have the latest version of Flash Player. I also have Adobe Edge animate installed.

  Help to fix this would be greatly appreciated. I know that I can insert just the 5 videos in the project calendar and it will work, however, these are great HD videos and with 2 or more users who access at the same time, we have some bandwidth problems. I thought that using Vimeo to disseminate video content would solve the problem of bandwidth, but having the halfway cut of videos is not acceptable. Has anyone else had luck with the help of Vimeo in this way? Are there other methods, what can I try?

  Why not try the native Web (headings) object that comes with 8 Captivate? In addition, may I know if you publish to SWF or HTML format? You can also share a screenshot of your Timeline slide?

• Address the content slide; back to the question; then continue on--using Captivate 8

  Using Captivate 8, I'm trying to fix a question slide to a slide content, then back to the issue of KC to check for retry and then continue from there.  On my trial, it works very well.  However, the problems began on the second instance and continue on each instance, subsequently. Settings on the issue of KC slides are all the same except that drag each jumps for sanitation.  I don't understand why it works the first time, but does not work after that. On the second instance, the issue returns to the content slide, but then passes any subsequent slide.   Someone at - he had a similar experience?  Know of a workaround or solution could I hurt?

  Erik, sanitation is integrated since version 6. The next button can have a double feature: coming from a normal slide acts as then, when they come from a question slide she come back on this question with the mentioned order slide.  It's been a while since I tested this out, but it worked. I don't know what's not in your project.

• Problem with Captivate 8 and SumTotal learning LMS Maestro-

  I get white screen when lance course published under the title of SCORM 2004 using Captivate 8.  All the publication settings are identical to those used with Captivate 7 and all classes of properties and parameters are the same in the LMS as course published using Captivate 7. At the launch of course, instead of the opening of the route screen, a white frame appears showing the playback bar course and LMS navigation bar. Logon screen does not appear until the user clicks on the button play on the PlayBar. No idea why this is happening?  Here is a screenshot of the white frame.

  Because it worked, obviously, the Chrome issue 36 comes break HTML5 output.  I hope that the patch solves everything.

• Problems of syntax with a Variable/function/procedure

  Some time ago I had advice how to define a simple (not stored) procedure within a PL/SQL Script, see procedure but not stored now, I tried to expand the sample by the use of some additional variables and a function instead of a procedure. The result expected from the following (pseudo) - code is very clear, but I get tons of errors due to problems of syntax. Of course I don't have need of all these variables in the example below, but it's the syntax I will need later. Maybe you can point me to an example which has a similar structure.

  (1) If you declare procedures in an anonymous PL/SQL block (which itself is not a particularly good way to organize the code), the procedure for declarations must come after all the variables are declared.
  (2) you do not use the keyword VARIABLE when you declare variables in PL/SQL
  (3) you have a fence extra paren in the SELECT statement in the OutputDouble that needs to be removed
  (4) the appeal dbms_output.put_line in OutputDouble should, without doubt, refer to the variable local MyTextResult, not same that does not exist.
  (5) the RETURN clause in the declaration of a function must be unique and must come before the IS
  (6) add a little more indented is useful for the following code.

  As I said above, however, this isn't a particularly good way to code generation. You are much better (a lot!) create a procedure as OutputDouble first just debugging that, then create a function like MyProduct, debugging that and then just try to put it all together. Creating a single block that declares its own procedures and functions only makes it harder to debug and harder to generate the code of the work by the Assembly and testing of small building blocks.

• Problems opening Captivate 5.5 after the promotion of Canadian artists

  When closing a 5.5 today Captivate project, he asked if I wanted to save the file. I said yes. The backup procedure, the project started and the progression of Captivate box appeared as he went through all of his techniques of compression etc to close the project. He finished recording and closed my project folder and the progress box, missing, but just before the hull of closed real Captivate completely out of my screen all of a sudden my laptop blue-armored.
  
  No problem, this laptop has had a few before TCTC during its lifetime, (not much, but it happened) and then restarts and starts ok. Only this time, Captivate 5.5 does not start. Big problem! Just to confirm, I've been using Captivate 5.5 for a few years now, never had problems of memory PC or similar and Captivate 5.5 performed seamlessly on this laptop for the same amount of time. I also have administrator rights.
  
  OK, so restarted the computer ok. Am going to open my file project, and within 2 seconds to open my file .cptx I get a windows error saying Adobe, "Adobe Captivate has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. "Also on this message box is the standard"Tell Microsoft about the problem", a Debug button, the send error report button, don't send button, and also" to see what data this error report, click here"---> then I click and open another window with then gives me the error signature.
  
  Said from the window of error signature AppName: adobecaptivate.exe AppVer: 5.5.0.257 ModName: cpdatabase.dll ModVer: 5.5.0.257 Offset: 0002c3f6. There is an option to find out all the technical details on the problem that opens just the channels and channels of information like a log that really means nothing to me. OK, so I closed it. In addition, the Debug button does nothing, so not really sure why it exists... it's like a false hope, lol.
  
  Okay, so first of all, I thought I thought that my .cptx file has been damaged during the process of backup/close when the PC crashed. So I went to open a project different .cptx file to see if it worked, but unfortunately it didn't, same error pops up. Then I sailed in c: / / Program Files/Adobe/Captivate 5.5 and I tried hard launch the adobecaptivate.exe file from there. NUP, still the same error.

  OK, while I restarted my pc a couple of times to see if it would refresh all my directories and tried again, again, same error on any file from Cap5.5 to .cptx.
  
  Then I was thinking to find a suitable system restore point and try that. Returned one, then two days of restore system without success points. Same error when opening my files .cptx.
  
  Then install thought to reinstall Captivate 5.5 on the existing, thinking it might be damaged file in the directory of the executable, and if all goes well a new facility would correct the problem. Makes installation, rebooted and tried to open my project .cptx file. Still the same error appeared.
  
  Was really bad now. Press forums. The only other thing I could find via a brief search has a solution to remove all fonts to remove from the directory of c: / / Windows/fonts as previous problems had reported problems with third-party fonts. OK, so deleted all fonts that I have and then tried to open my file .cptx. Yet, the same error occurred, but this time in a police different, ha! Redo all my fonts as it wasn't too the solution.
  
  Then I tried to open my Captivate 5.5 project file .cptx with just Captivate 5. OK, Captivate 5 opens, but then I get the error about cannot open the file because it is open elsewhere etc... so I put that down to the backward compatibility and Cap5 will not be able to open projects Cap5.5. But at least now I know for sure, Captivate 5 opens and works. Tried that several times just to make sure, so it is certainly a problem of 5.5.

  Otherwise, my only hope was to try to uninstall 5.5 Cap completely and then reinstall 5.5 all together, but I thought I would check here everything first to see if there is a much simpler solution.
  
  So here I am now, hoping someone may have ideas for me. In my opinion, I've exhausted all reasonable to my own skills of PC and knowledge to deal with this kind of problem, so I really hope I can get support.
  
  I am pleased to send screenshots, log files, or even to join a remote desktop session to get this sort. I use all authentic Cap5 copies and 5.5 with serials real all on a real laptop, and Yes, my problem is authentic
  
  I'm a little stressed I have some deliverables by Monday and I know that it's the weekend!

  Please try to rename the following file so that Captivate 5.5 is closed

  Windows XP:  Record of Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate [user name] 5.5 C:\Documents and Settings\

  Then try to launch Captivate and check if the error persists.

  See no reason to change the templates to introduce a needless global JS variable when the document property is already there. Display using an appropriate HTML element, for example h1 if it's the overall page header.

• Compaq Evo D5pM - problems using this model number, never find what he listed...

  Compaq Evo D5pM - (Pent4 - 1.7 GHz) problems using this model looking for parts or information number.  Serial number has not been useful.

  Someone said "aka Compaq D510." Trying to buy memory model (found on the case) my number wasn't so I tried to use D510 (it was listed). Apparently not the same computer / mine use 168 pins sticks and D - 510 came 188 pins. I did my 'upgrade' purchase by check the number of pins and using the already installed type.

  My computer is a vertical minitower - looks like D - 510-, but like I said the components are different.

  I was wondering if anyone knows a model Compaq Evo w / same components (P4 1.7 GHz; 168 pin memory) I could use for research purposes. The smallest horizontal model Evo often uses different (smaller) maps, etc..

  Tried the Ctrl-Alt-S keyboard shortcut to bring up the model number (etc.), but my keyboard shortcuts do not work on this computer. Run a search for edge came up with nothing to tune.

  I tried HP support and drivers.  With the help of several model numbers and found that absolutely nothing for HP Compaq or "Compaq" is in the list.

  It is a great 3rd computer that I've updated w / spare parts, use it remotely, especially for music. Only problem was the dark model number. If anyone has something useful to add would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance...

  PS I'm currently trying to identify MB for what it's worth, but a number of alternative model that works would be great.

• Problem using the Qt library in static library

  I created a static library with SDK 10.1 10.2 Momentics. Any time I get the qt classes, the compiler complains that it cannot find a file any.
