HP probook 4530 s does not turn on
Hello
My probook parents has had a good run, and recently I added 8 GB of ram and a 250 GB SDS because they were coplaining about it being slow.
I turned it on this evening and the screen went funny and scrambled, then frozen. I restarted in safe mode, and it froze again.
I then restarted again and but this time the laptop does not start, the button flashes then dies.
I unplugged my ac, took out the battery, based on the power button for 2 minutes and replugged the AC, but it did not work.
Can you help me please?
Thank you very much

CTRL + Enter Does not post message on Basecamp
CTRL + Enter sends a message in GMail and many apps to use as shortcut 'send '. Works for me on GMail.
But on Basecamp.com, it does not work when you post a message on Basecamp. Works well on other browsers. When I contacted their support, they said that FF does not allow for customization of this shortcut.
What can I do to get this working?
As GMail and many other sites demonstrate, it is not true. We can't really do anything, though, as they need to implement support for this shortcut in their application. If possible, you should follow with their support and give examples of applications where it works.

Have the HP Pavilion Elite m9650f with motherboard replaced in April 2012 class good to go.
Replaced the stock GPU Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT with a Zotac GTX 560 Ti GPU and
the stock HP 460 Watt power supply with a W0388RU Thermaltake TR2 600 Watt PSU in may 2012.
All goes well until October 2012.
PC randomly starts shutting itself off the coast and not feed until I have unplug the power cord and wait 5-10 minutes.
Finally, he stopped turning on all together. Reinstall all power PSU connectors, etc. same result.
Removed all cards, etc, same result. Cards reinstalled one by one, etc., same result.
Reinstall the stock HP 460 Watt PSU, now everything works fine.
Thought it was a premature failure of Thermaltake PSU.
Bought and installed a Corsair CMPSU - 850TXV2 850 Watt power supply for a few days but still not good to go.
Lights, fans spin, but no MESSAGE, no video, tracks for all
5 seconds, stops, turns on itself over and over again.
Reinstall all power PSU connectors, etc. same result.
Removed all cards, etc, same result. Cards reinstalled one by one, etc., same result.
Reinstalled the HP PSU stock, now everything works perfectly again. ?
Spends hours reading the forums...
Some say that the RAM may not report correct voltage for power supply.
If so, what can I change RAM voltage in the BIOS?
Others say reset CMOS I did, same result.
And someone on this forum HP thought that perhaps the Pegatron IPMTB-TK
Card mother Truckee can only accommodate up to 750 Watts POWER supply.
Any ideas?
Can I get away with just using my HP 460 Watt power supply after all stock?
Thank you.
I have an additive to add to this topic.
To refresh, my questions focus on a possible shift of the power supply and card mother specs:
What is an ATX 12 v 2.0 and above technical problem or a power CAP problem?
I posted my questions on the Forum of power SUPPLY Corsair PSU
at the same time and I paste it here now, a response
to GUY of RAM.
"Hey RAM GUY."
Sorry I couldn't answer until now.
Please specify the difference between the ATX 2.0 specification and 2.01
Spec that the negative - 5 v Rail is not present in the 2.01 spec and
beyond. As I mentioned previously, the Thermaltake PSU that has been
running in my 2009, HP i7 tour for 7 last month said 12 volt ATX 2.2
on the case and even if the power supply HP OEM said 12 volt ATX
2.0 in the technical literature, that I found on Google, the real PSU I have does not work
have any note on the case ATX specification. So I think it's safe to say, my
motherboard does not have the negative Rail v-5 at which he played
nicely with 12 volt ATX 2.2 spec, until recently.
Although theoretically it is supposed to be no limit on the amount of
Absorbed power, you can use to power your motherboard, the motherboard because
is supposed to use only what suits him and cap the rest, it seems that the OEM
can dial up limitations of power if they deem necessary.
Could be as simple HP, without wanting to compete with some of his HPs
Professional workstations, caps so power on some Pavilion Elite
Series models to prevent them from becoming a much cheaper
solution.
In any case, I think that all the available information, digested, he does not speak
Specification of the ATX, but rather my motherboard HP has a limit of 650 Watts of power
If I think that I read that someone else got the same motherboard goes with
750 watts, but I do not remember where to find this announcement. »
I'm back and Yes!
Thanks again Lasvegaswireman! -

The speaker works like a gem on my my Samsung Galaxy S3 by BT, but just will not connect to my laptop. It is detected as a preipheral device, but does not have drivers.

ProBook 4720 s does not detect the SD card inserted
I get no response when a SD card snaps, but 8 GB Transcend card is recognized very well of my little netbook from Toshiba.
This is the first time I tried a card in this HP, although I got it a few months. Running Win 7 Pro 32-bit. BIOS HP 68AZZ worm F.0F 18/02/2011.
Well, I contacted HP support and got a helpful response within a day. Siva gave me urls for two drivers that I apparently needed (not very new drivers and I don't know why they were not there in this new machine, but any way..) and they installed, unlike the one I found just for me and giving a message "forbidden". However, once installed, both raised the box "this program cannot be installed correctly" (that I've seen before and never known what to do about it except devoted to work and hope for the best).
With the drivers installed, the system * fact * detect the SD card so that it has shown in Device Manager and gave sound signals when it has been installed and removed. But he does not have assigned a drive letter and did not show in Windows Explorer, while it was still incommunicado or to serve as a ReadyBoost file storage.
Thinking that it seemed that HP problems were over and it is now a Windows problem, I spent a few hours to make the seemingly useless things in Windows, all having to do with recovery of AutoRun, which is not.
Now the SHIFT key while inserting the SD card could start AutoRun. Also, I gave the command 'net start shellhwdetection' and told me that the service was already running. And AutoFix.exe from Microsoft verified that the shell hardware detection service was on and the autostart value. But to step next, as the wizard repair didn't see that other readers, not the SD card, so I couldn't specify only * that * drive AutoPlay wasn't working on, and which ends the program.
Support software MS said that if ReadyBoost enabled and there (and it was) and still does not work there because some services he needed had been extinguished. So I Dove to the various lists and tried to turn on anything that seemed relevant and which has not already lit. Nothing seemed to still accept my changes. Very frustrating. But then I went back to where I had left access control panel in Explorer, and I saw that the SD card has sometime been recognized and awarded drive E. Shazam!
Therefore, all followed the script and I could bring up the window of the tab (in the properties of the drive E) option for ReadyBoost and say, go ahead. He did, and it seems to work very well. It closes fast when I close the lid, with several major programs running, as well as 4 windows in FF with about 12-24 tablets of each, and it took only 60 seconds to wake up this morning.
So the problem is solved with something good help at HP, but not gracefully or usefully for others, I'm afraid, because I can't say yet exactly what I did.

Win 7 Pro X 64; system does not recognize my Sata HDD Ext USB Powered clos
In the recent past, my system no longer recognizes my Powered Sata USB HDD Ext I closed deleted the April May security updates and nothing does not. Two updates would not uninstall: KB3020369 & KB3020370. They were both installed on May 7, just about the time the ext drive was not recognized.
Thinking that the box Sata or HARD drive was unusable, I bought two new nothing helps. I think the above updates are the culprits. All the other external USB work correctly - key USB & USB powered drives Ext. I tried all the mentioned community wrapper work without result. Need help from MS on how to uninstall the updates above? The only thing I can think of to test my Win 7 should save all the files and images to all readers on an ext HDD and do a clean install without security updates. And then install updates one at a time security test activity USB I'm going. Also, I see other people having the same
problems.
FIX
Problem solved. In my case, the external hard drive was plugged in and powered and the external drive appeared in 'surely remove the material and the media', but does not appear in Windows Explorer. It was enough of a drive letter. Left click on start, Control Panel, administrative tools, COMPUTER MANAGEMENT, storage, MANAGEMENT OF DISKS. A list of drives has been shown. Mine has no drive letter. I have a click right and select the simple volume on the dark line, and followed the instructions.
Everything is normal and I already copied the files on it. Thank you all for your efforts and help.

HP Probook 4515 s does not illuminate
HP Probook 4515 s will normally light after update BIOS to F20. Thing is when I press the power button / stop, cell phone started working, but screen remains blank. HDD led is orange and flashing continuously and CapsLock led flashes 5 times at the beginning which means general motherboard failure. But after some time (5 minutes 4 hours sometimes) it start starting BIOS then windows and continues to work normally all the time until what the computer is put to sleep or shut down. This will never happen before the update to F20 and problem is that now it can not be downgraded by using standard methods. Does anyone know of any possible way to return the BIOS F10, or another solution to the problem?
Your drive "F" could have the folling cases: "."
\Hewlett-Packard\BIOS
\Hewlett-Packard\BIOSUpdate
BIOS file has 3 files: current, new, previous
sp55879 will be extracted in C:\swupdate\sp55879
Copy 68GPI. F:\Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\New TRAY
Copy 68GPI. GIS at F:\Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\New. It should be located in F:\BIOS\Previous.
Copy HpBiosUpdate.efi to F:\Hewlett-Packard\BiosUpdate
I copied all the files from C:\SWSetup\sp59994\BiosUpdate
Do not overwrite the log file.
F.20 should be close to 20/12/2011
The dates of these files will tell you what version.
Restart the computer & it should start the update procedure.
If successful, the new folder is empty, The Current folder & previous record are the same, except previous is now tiny.

I also checked for updates via the HP SUPPORT assistant. I tried save mode. I went through all the options of windows, I think. Tried the plans of different powers, ati catalyst (worst piece of sowtware never) options, etc. Nothing seams to work. I would appreciate any help from HP.
